JustRite Papercraft Special Delivery Clear Stamp Set

We have a birthday girl this week and she just turned ONE!  Cannot believe it!  Today is DAY FIVE of JustRite Papercraft's October Release!  It's a special birthday and a special set, Special Delivery!  Let's get started!

As you can see, Special Delivery is not only for the birth of a special one, but it includes a baptism, adoption, and general love sentiments too! While I will be using this set for new baby creations, I chose to go the baby birthday route today!  Special Delivery features 24 clear stamps and is designed by Amy Tedder!

I made a gift card to accompany the little hat utilizing JustRite custom Spellbinder Vintage Labels Five Dies.  The dies are a new set this week too!

I added a special stamped tag to the hat bloom embellishment!  This little one is definitely wrapped in LOVE!  I used a good ole' needle and thread to gather the base sequin trim and the yellow lace trim!  Pretty easy and they're attached to the cone using Aleene's Tacky Glue!

I love this Girl Land kit and it has provided supplies for many, many creations!  LOVE the paper design!  Mine is from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!  Webster's Pages paper quality is super and perfect for a party hat! They are two sided, so you get designs on both sides!

ALL the trims are found right on this embellishment card that coordinates with Girl Land product!  It is found HERE. So fun to have all the necessary coordinated goods to create with!

Thank you for stopping by today!  Tomorrow we will also feature our final JustRite October Release Set, and it will be a bundle of JOY! (that was a little hint, friends) See you tomorrow!

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!

Welcome to Monday!  I know it's now August, but I'm still in a "Christmas in July" mode, so I have a Christmas card to share with you today!  It uses that fantastic My Minds Eye WinterWonderland Stamp Set that I used last week on the Christmas Tag Sets I posted HERE.  This set is on sale at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and the more I use it, the more I LOVE it!  Lets get started!

The snowman is darling, no?  I picked up on the star designer paper in the Webster's Pages Royal Christmas Pack. The papers in this pack are beautiful!  That led to the star die cuts and coordinating several more of the papers into the card design.  LOVE the stamped sentiment too!  I tell ya, this set is wonderful!  The Webster's Pages Royal Christmas Paper is on sale too!  All the products used on this card are listed below!  I hope you like this frosty card as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Be sure to check out Sharon's BLOG for all The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store product updates and lots of ideas and stamping inspiration!  Thanks for stopping by!

It's about all recycling & Christmas Stockings, Stamp Simply Style!

Debbiedoo's
I am linked in the above Party!!!

Happy Friday to you!  I hope you have had a great week!  I've been thinking Christmas!  How about you?  Actually, ever since I saved cardboard Christmas stocking inserts last year, I have been thinking specifically about how I was going to use them this Christmas!  Sigh, I know they say it's a sickness, but I disagree!  I prefer to call it frugal, fun, and well, maybe, just maybe a tiny bit creative!
These are what I'm talking about! How could I throw these away?  They take up little room, great weight as far as cardboard inserts go, and such a great size!  And that would be approximately 14 1/2" long and 7" wide at the top.  I think if there would have been only one or two, they would've been thrown into the garbage file.  But, I purchased nine stockings!  So, it just was not right to throw any of these away!

The first step was to decide which one of these gorgeous Girl Land Papers were going to become stocking fronts. Once decided, I traced around the insert and cut two out. Next step was to machine stitch the front and back together.  Then onto embellishing! The Webster's Pages Girl Land Kit is fabulous, you can create beautiful cards, scrapbook pages and other paper craft projects, like recycled stocking inserts! It includes the finest heavy weight paper and quality embellishments. Here are some details:
  • 12 12x12 Double-sided Papers
  • 1 12x12 Die cut Paper Sheet
  • 1 Storyteller Alpha Sticker Sheet (I used these on this pencil tree HERE)
  • 2 6" Bling Strips
  • 2 12" Bloomer Trims (The kit purple bloomers are what I used on one of the stockings)
For this particular stocking, the pink bloomers come from Webster's Pages Trim Pack. (next picture)  For the top of this stocking I chose to stamp on one of the stockings using SU Craft Ink with the JustRite Background Stamp, Embroidered.  I distressed the edges with my MM paper distress tool. There was enough stamped left to punch circles out and place those onto the circle patterns of the paper!  Do you see them now?  I stamped my sentiments with VersaFine Black ink onto scraps of the Girl Land papers.  These papers are two sided designed so you have lots of options here! Sentiments are found in Justrite's Large Fancy Holiday Set.  I cut the sentiments out using my Spellbinders A2 Fancy Weave Die!(also used one of these dies on a Halloween Treat tag, HERE

Pictured is the Girl Land Trim Card that I used for the pink bloomers.  The trims match and coordinate all the Girl Land papers!  The loop for each stocking was made with 1/8" Velvet Ribbon.  And the loopy ribbons on each stocking are all created with assorted Seam Binding. What did we ever do without Seam Binding?  Loops of Seam Binding are tied with Silver Metallic String before being glued to stocking front.

Melissa Frances two layer silk ribbon ruffles is what is used on each stocking too, applying it with ScorTape. The bloomers are attached with ScorTape as well.  This embellishment is pure fabulous!  All other embellishments are adhered with Aleene's Tacky Glue.
I love how these turned out, I will use them to gift light weight items, most likely gift cards, candy, desk supplies, those type of things!  If anything, I would hang these as home decor!  But they are not for me, as I give almost everything I create away!  And I love doing that! Thanks for stopping by,  I hope this inspires you to start thinking Christmas, after all, it is only two months away!

For more gift inspiration, check this out HERE, a candle gift idea from Sharon Johnson!  I think I need some of that burlap now!  LOVE this Sharon!

Microscope Slide Ornaments, JustRite!

Good Morning!  Here we are on Day Three of JustRite's October Release Previews!  Have you enjoyed the sets so far?  Today I created two microscope slide ornaments.  Another super simple creation that looks fabulous on a lighted tree! The twinkling just dances off the glass slides and silver frames!

For my first stamping, I used the new Embroidered Background Stamp with white craft ink on a lightweight scrap paper. (More about where the scrap paper came from in my next post)  I laid one of the glass slides onto the dried stamp area and lightly outlined before cutting out.  Easy!  Gotta love that!

The red stamping is on Webster's Pages Girl Land Designer Paper using images from another new JustRite set, Friends Antique Labels One.  I trimmed those images and cut them again to fit the slide size.  The stamped images are sandwiched between the slides and held together with the silver frames I purchased at Michaels.  Atop the silver frame is ring that allows the easy attachment of ribbon bows and silver string.  Simple embellishing and there you have it!  More of these ornaments are in my future!

Thank you for stopping by today!  Here are the JustRite Designers who have terrific inspiration for you today!  Click on each name to take you to their respective BLOGS! Enjoy!

A Merry Christmas Border Pencil Tree!

Welcome to Day One of JustRite's October Release Previews!

I have a pencil tree treat to share with you!  My husband and I volunteer every Tuesday with an after school program at our church.  This year I have been helping a little girl each week with her homework.  We are not allowed to give "presents" but I always give her a pencil to do her homework.  So, I thought it would be a good idea to have a holiday one ready for her around Christmas!  This is such a super simple project!  The stamped die cut tree trim holds the pencil in place!

Classic Sentiments Edges One is a JustRite Clear Set featuring four crazy wonderful borders!  I so love the sentiment message that each border conveys!  Thank you Amy Tedder Designs, this is brilliant!  And it coordinates with Spellbinders E8-007 Classic Edges Dies.  So easy when it all coordinates!

My border is stamped and trimmed using the Spellbinders coordinating edge die.  All designer paper comes from Webster's Pages  Girl Land Collection Kit.  I did add the silver metallic string, 1/2"green wrinkle ribbon, along with a tiny bit of Copic coloring!  The trim on the bottom of the die cut scallops is from Webster's Pages Girl Land Designer Trim Card and is attached with Scor Tape. The adhesive letters and the tree topper rose are in the Collection Kit as well!  This Girl Land design is Awesome, yes, with a capital A!  And simple, but makes WOW pencil presentation!  Thanks for stopping by, see you tomorrow with a creation for Day Two!

Witch Hat Cookies with NEW Packaging Ideas!

WELCOME to Super Saturday, where I will share an updated version of a papercrafting golden oldie idea or creation I have made in past years! I love to revisit previous ideas and give them a new twist, different packaging, or maybe add a current product or two.  How about we start with the Witch Hat Cookies?  I first blogged this popular treat HERE.  It's in need of updated packaging for sure! Sit back, relax, and yes, grab a cup of your favorite beverage, this is one long post!

Here are three new packaging ideas!  One container is purchased while the other two are using recycled materials. The rectangle container is a gallon size baggie box!  Yes, it's true! The net bag is from a bag of gourds I purchased a while ago for the project HERE.  The silver lid container was purchased at TJ Maxx, which is also similar to a Marshalls or a HomeGoods Stores depending on where you live!

Before I get into the packaging details, let's talk about ingredients. Here they are, all three of them!  I know, so easy!

Truly the most difficult task creating these adorable treats is unwrapping the Hershey Kisses.  After they are unwrapped, turn your Keebler Fudge Stripe Cookies over as shown in picture.  A few pointers I've learned along the way. When applying the orange icing, place it around the edge of the kiss, that way when you place the kiss onto the cookie you will not end up with an orange blob of icing going through the middle of the cookie and making an orange mess!  Yes, I'm speaking from experience!

Here are the pretties!  I do leave them out for a few hours allowing the icing to reset. You will want to press the kiss down lightly to create a nice orange icing ring around the kiss. Do not press too hard, or it will crack the cookie!  Yes, again I am speaking from experience!

For the first packaging idea I placed three cookies in a clear type baggie, and placed it into the netted bag.  I tied the net bag with seam binding found HERE.  For my tag I stamped the sentiment from JustRite's Clear Stamp Set, Autumn Words.  A wonderful set with endless uses and again I'm sharing one of those go to sets! This set features 40 stamps for $13.95.  It's found HERE in The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store.  The leaf is an image from the same set.  I stamped the lightest color first, with the next darkest color and ending with the darkest color, so I could overlap the inks successfully!  After the leaf was trimmed I shaded the edges, glued it upon that darling Prima Wooden Clip HERE and added a Kaisercraft Adhesive Pearl found HERE.  The Prima Wooden Clip holds the sentiment tag securely in place and makes it easy to remove so the treats can be readily accessed!

This container is plastic with a lightweight tin lid.  The lid creates a great seal so it really is a good choice to keep food items fresh.  Again using Justrite's Autumn Words located HERE, I chose the word stamps I wanted to use and placed them onto my clear block to stamp onto my paper. The leaves on this tag are created the same as described for the creation pictured above.

This tag's components as with the tag in the previous photo are cut using Spellbinders dies.  These dies are matting sets that are beautifully coordinated. This allows the easy matting of layers creating interest and beauty in your creations. Check out the Basic Matting Sets A & B found HERE and the coordinating A2 Fancy Weave Set HERE. Adding the matching Seam Binding completes the embellishing for this container!  Seam Bindings are HERE.  A touch of designer paper around the lid creates a bit of color that ties in with the rest of the embellishments.

For the final packaging idea, I used an empty gallon size baggie box.  I removed the top and added my own card stock lid, attaching it with scor tape found HERE. It is scored to create a tuck-in type top!  Parchment paper is lining the box and will keep the cookies from moving all around!

And can I just say, what more of a perfect paper could there be for these treats?  Look at the darling hats on this paper I used to cover the box.  Scor Tape found HERE secures the paper in place.  The striped paper border  is cut into strips and really accents the box well. The paper is from Webster's Pages, Once Upon A Halloween 6" x 6" pad.  Oh my, the goodness found in this paper pad is terrific!  Whether you make hat treats or not, this paper could be used for a plethora of other ideas.  Yes, oh my, Yes!  Once Upon A Halloween is located HERE at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store

I wanted to give you a close up of this particular tag.  I cut this from one of the paper pad's pages.  There are two pages of these easy to cut sentiments.  What a great way to use the paper!  After cutting the sentiment, I also cut three other papers to coordinate with the covered box.  The top two tag layers are popped up using 3D foam square dimensionals found HERE.  Finishing the package with Orange Ric Rac and Black Burlap String complete the look and in an oh so easy fashion!  Ric Rac is HERE and the Burlap string is found HERE!

Click on the word HERE throughout today's post to take you to the products used to create the updated packaging ideas.   You will find those products and many more at The Stamp Simply Store HERE!  I hope you've enjoyed revisiting this wonderful treat idea! Take good care!  We are still waiting for granddaughter #3 to arrive!  This Grandma is getting a bit anxious!
