It's that Witch HAT time of year! In new packaging!

One of my seasonal sweet creations, Witch Hat Cookies!  I started making these many years ago when my girls were little!  I first saw the idea, I believe in Family Fun Magazine.  There are two previous posts HERE and HERE where I made hat cookies!  Be sure to check out the packaging!

Some helpful hints for you, placing the icing on the Hershey Kiss as shown above will help limit the amount of icing that is pushed through the cookie center hole.  Personally, I prefer the Betty Crocker Icing as opposed to Wilton brand.  The Wilton brand has a more oil/water consistency to it.  Betty Crocker is more like a frosting consistency.  However, both will work!

For one package of Keebler Fudge Stripes which contain approximately 24 cookies, you will use one half of a 12 ounce package of Hershey Chocolate candy and one tube of orange icing.  Let the cookies set up for a couple hours before packaging.

OH MY, when I first saw this stamp set, I let out a bit of a whoop!  Through the years and still to this day, I so enjoy making food type projects as gifts for friends and loved ones.  Baking Antique Tags One contains 10 clear stamps and is compatible custom JustRite Antique Tags One Dies.  Mason jars are so popular right now, but I have enjoyed using them for years!

The jar image is stamped twice, once with VersaFine Black Onyx and once with Smokey Gray.  With a craft x-acto knife, I trimmed out the jar label area to allow a clear acetate panel.  I cut the lid from the gray stamped image and layered atop the black stamped jar.  The lid looks more realistic in gray, no? The sentiment is also stamped with black ink.  The jar contents are stamped with images from Samantha Walker's Boo-tiful Cameos JustRite Stamp Set.
All the lovely string & ribbons are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!  The links are below in the product list.  That wonderful purple net ribbon comes in more colors too! This is a large Ball mason jar measuring 10 inches in height and easily hold all 24 cookies!  When I first started placing the cookies inside the jar, I did so using cooking tongs.  So much easier that getting my hand stuck!

Voila' a perfect container and tag for those traditional witch hat cookies!  I have a couple more mason jar goodies I will be sharing during the next week or so!  I hope this will inspire you to start planning and creating!  Take Good Care!

JustRite Papercraft Clear Autumn Vintage Labels Three Stamps

Welcome to Day ONE of JustRite Papercraft's September Release!  We have a great lineup for you this week!  There so much to ooh and aah about with this release!  Let's get started!

I decided to create a card with this sweet wreath image from one of today's release sets, Autumn Vintage Labels Three! All Copic colors are listed below in the supply list!  The stamped sentiment tag is embellished with a seam binding bow atop gorgeous metallic string.

Look at all goodness this set has to offer.  Designer Amy Tedder hit it out of the park with this set, Autumn Vintage Labels Three. Perfect for packaging fall treats, images to color, and wonderful sentiments!  I cut my wreath image using JustRite Custom Spellbinder Labels Three Dies, the sentiment is cut using a JustRite Papercraft Vintage Banner Die.  The hanging sentiments are cut with a SU punch. The colored leaf spray image is scissor cut!  Some call this fussy cutting, which you know I LOVE!  Thanks for stopping by today!  Praying you are enjoying this final summer holiday with those you love!  See you tomorrow!

Boo-tiful Mummy and Halloween Lunch Bag!

We are on Day Four of JustRite's June Release!  I have two creations to share with you today!  I love Halloween creating and the two Samantha Walker stamp sets being featured give inspiration beyond to get us going in the Halloween direction!

How about a lunch bag treat holder?  All stamped pieces are scissor trimmed before adhered to the lunch bag front. I wanted mis-shaped looks, so it was worry free as I cut this way and that! And look at the spider door handle, love it!

Samantha Walker's Spider Web background stamp is adorable, no? I stamped the lunch bag front using VeraMark Watermark Ink.  Door frame, spiders and rooftop sentiment are stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black, Pumpkins with Martha Stewart Ink, Eek & the window peekers with PapertreyInk Fresh Snow.  The Halloween roof strip is stamped with Memento London Fog and shaded with Tim Holtz Old Paper Distress Ink.

A close up look at one of the window peekers!  After stamping the pumpkins, I filled in the face features with black marker.  I also attached green twisted paper cord string with a small gem to each pumpkin top!

I've always wanted to create one of these Mummy cards!  I have seen them for years and just never got to it!  Well, this year I did it!  And talk about easy peasy!  I stamped a page of the Halloween image with Memento London Fog ink and started tearing into strips!  After shading the edges with TIm Holtz Old Paper Distress Ink, I placed the strips at angles on my 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base.  I  trimmed all the edges and used a corner rounder punch to achieve the card base shape.

Samantha Walker's Boo-tiful Cameos is a JustRite clear set featuring 19 stamps.  I stamped the sentiment Boo and Spider eyes with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.  A couple sparkle rhinestone gems to embellish the eyes and Voila' a Mummy Card!  One of the easiest cards ever!  It's never too early to think Halloween!

Check out the following designer blogs for more Boo-tiful inspiration today!  Enjoy!

Orange Slice Candy transformed to Thanksgiving Pumpkins! Stamp Simply Style!

I AM LINKED TO THE ABOVE  PARTIES!

Good Sunday Morning!  How about using orange slice candy for Thanksgiving Pumpkins?  Isn't this the cutest ever?  I was searching for Pumpkin Ideas a while back and came across a You Tube video with a gal sharing how this is done! I thought I can do this!  Yes, I can!  And add some Stamp Simply Ribbon Store love to make it even cuter!

Here is what you need for these adorable, easy, and fun pumpkins!

  • Orange Candy Slices
  • Clear Cling type wrap
  • Green stretch floral tape
  • Small bowl/container to hold wrap & slices
  • Lay a piece of cling wrap in bowl.  For this pumpkin, I used 7 slices.  It really depends on the size of your slices and how big you want your pumpkin to be, it's up to you!
After carefully pulling up each corner and sides of wrap, start twisting the cling wrap, the tighter the better. Have your floral tape ready to adhere and wrap a few times around twisted wrap, creating a stem.

Here is a picture showing one with the excess wrap cut off and one before.  This makes the coolest stem.  Perfect to add some Stamp Simply Store embellishments, no?

Here is a picture of all three I made this time around!  JustRite's Autumn Words Stamp Set is a perfect stamping choice!  I created my tag sentiment by choosing two stamps, Pumpkin and Treats. This set features 40 stamps and is also on sale the SSRS!  It is perfect for Thanksgiving and beyond! I stamped using Versafine Vintage Sepia Ink onto my white card stock before hand trimming and shading tag edges.  After cutting the satin leaf trim, I tied it around each stem.  I then attached each tag using brown & white Divine Twine string.  The final touch is Prima Velvet Rainbow Natural Leaves!  Voila' and look what we have! Adding that trim and stamped tags make these pumpkins perfect!

  • Satin Leaf Trim is found HERE
  • Divine Brown/White Twine String is HERE

Witch Hat Cookies with NEW Packaging Ideas!

WELCOME to Super Saturday, where I will share an updated version of a papercrafting golden oldie idea or creation I have made in past years! I love to revisit previous ideas and give them a new twist, different packaging, or maybe add a current product or two.  How about we start with the Witch Hat Cookies?  I first blogged this popular treat HERE.  It's in need of updated packaging for sure! Sit back, relax, and yes, grab a cup of your favorite beverage, this is one long post!

Here are three new packaging ideas!  One container is purchased while the other two are using recycled materials. The rectangle container is a gallon size baggie box!  Yes, it's true! The net bag is from a bag of gourds I purchased a while ago for the project HERE.  The silver lid container was purchased at TJ Maxx, which is also similar to a Marshalls or a HomeGoods Stores depending on where you live!

Before I get into the packaging details, let's talk about ingredients. Here they are, all three of them!  I know, so easy!

Truly the most difficult task creating these adorable treats is unwrapping the Hershey Kisses.  After they are unwrapped, turn your Keebler Fudge Stripe Cookies over as shown in picture.  A few pointers I've learned along the way. When applying the orange icing, place it around the edge of the kiss, that way when you place the kiss onto the cookie you will not end up with an orange blob of icing going through the middle of the cookie and making an orange mess!  Yes, I'm speaking from experience!

Here are the pretties!  I do leave them out for a few hours allowing the icing to reset. You will want to press the kiss down lightly to create a nice orange icing ring around the kiss. Do not press too hard, or it will crack the cookie!  Yes, again I am speaking from experience!

For the first packaging idea I placed three cookies in a clear type baggie, and placed it into the netted bag.  I tied the net bag with seam binding found HERE.  For my tag I stamped the sentiment from JustRite's Clear Stamp Set, Autumn Words.  A wonderful set with endless uses and again I'm sharing one of those go to sets! This set features 40 stamps for $13.95.  It's found HERE in The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store.  The leaf is an image from the same set.  I stamped the lightest color first, with the next darkest color and ending with the darkest color, so I could overlap the inks successfully!  After the leaf was trimmed I shaded the edges, glued it upon that darling Prima Wooden Clip HERE and added a Kaisercraft Adhesive Pearl found HERE.  The Prima Wooden Clip holds the sentiment tag securely in place and makes it easy to remove so the treats can be readily accessed!

This container is plastic with a lightweight tin lid.  The lid creates a great seal so it really is a good choice to keep food items fresh.  Again using Justrite's Autumn Words located HERE, I chose the word stamps I wanted to use and placed them onto my clear block to stamp onto my paper. The leaves on this tag are created the same as described for the creation pictured above.

This tag's components as with the tag in the previous photo are cut using Spellbinders dies.  These dies are matting sets that are beautifully coordinated. This allows the easy matting of layers creating interest and beauty in your creations. Check out the Basic Matting Sets A & B found HERE and the coordinating A2 Fancy Weave Set HERE. Adding the matching Seam Binding completes the embellishing for this container!  Seam Bindings are HERE.  A touch of designer paper around the lid creates a bit of color that ties in with the rest of the embellishments.

For the final packaging idea, I used an empty gallon size baggie box.  I removed the top and added my own card stock lid, attaching it with scor tape found HERE. It is scored to create a tuck-in type top!  Parchment paper is lining the box and will keep the cookies from moving all around!

And can I just say, what more of a perfect paper could there be for these treats?  Look at the darling hats on this paper I used to cover the box.  Scor Tape found HERE secures the paper in place.  The striped paper border  is cut into strips and really accents the box well. The paper is from Webster's Pages, Once Upon A Halloween 6" x 6" pad.  Oh my, the goodness found in this paper pad is terrific!  Whether you make hat treats or not, this paper could be used for a plethora of other ideas.  Yes, oh my, Yes!  Once Upon A Halloween is located HERE at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store

I wanted to give you a close up of this particular tag.  I cut this from one of the paper pad's pages.  There are two pages of these easy to cut sentiments.  What a great way to use the paper!  After cutting the sentiment, I also cut three other papers to coordinate with the covered box.  The top two tag layers are popped up using 3D foam square dimensionals found HERE.  Finishing the package with Orange Ric Rac and Black Burlap String complete the look and in an oh so easy fashion!  Ric Rac is HERE and the Burlap string is found HERE!

Click on the word HERE throughout today's post to take you to the products used to create the updated packaging ideas.   You will find those products and many more at The Stamp Simply Store HERE!  I hope you've enjoyed revisiting this wonderful treat idea! Take good care!  We are still waiting for granddaughter #3 to arrive!  This Grandma is getting a bit anxious!

Autumn Damask!

Welcome to our final day of JustRite's September Release Sets!  Today we are previewing a new Background stamp, Autumn Damask.  I do believe this is one of my favorite background stamps ever!  Just look at my Mustard Colored Card Stock stamped with Memento's Potter's Clay Ink.  It looks like designer paper I die cut!

Just look at the entire 4 1/2" x 5 3/4" Autumn Damask beauty!  I am in love with this stamp!  It is a JustRite Cling stamp made of deeply etched rubber that clings any acrylic block.

I hope this close up gives you a better idea of the detail the stamps add.  The green decorative piece on the card is a punch out from Kaisercraft's Paper Pad, These Days found in The Stamps Simply Store.  The pearls are from Want2Scrap and are individually placed.  The gorgeous silk ribbon, seam binding and Prima Rose can be found at The Stamp Simply Store.  I used Spellbinder's Grand Decorative Ovals One for my card base and the damask panel, Love these Grand Dies, take a peek at all of them HERE

Grand Sentiments is the JustRite set previewed on Monday!  HERE is the link if you missed it!  Lovely and Grand is how I would describe this clear stamp goodness!  JustRite Grand Sentiments features 36 stamps making your stamping options endless!  I used three of these stamps on my card today.  Two were subtle but add that extra perfect detail!  Do you see the stamping I am referring to?  Across the purple card stock paper strip, you will see, Thinking of You, and below that, I added a decorative stamp onto the green designer paper.  The Happy Birthday is pretty obvious as is the background stamping!  Hope you have enjoyed September's previews!  Take Good Care!

Be sure to check  out the following JustRite Designer's Blog by clicking on their respective names.  Lots of Autumn Damask inspiration to be found!  Enjoy!

Today's Creative Blog

Debbiedoo's

Good Morning!  It has been a while since posting and I so appreciate you visiting Explore.Dream.Discover. that I decided today's creation will be up for grabs!  That is correct, one lucky reader will win the entire set of six small gourds, embellished and ready for the autumn season!   All you have to do is leave a comment on this post.  And this Sunday, September 9, at 9pm EST I will post here on my blog the individual who I will be sending these off to! Please leave your email address so I will be able to notify who wins!

This idea came to me when I saw the bag of small plastic gourds from Michaels.  They are Michael's Ashland brand.  I knew Tim Holtz Memo Pins would easily hold a sentiment and embellishments to create a darling table place setting!  As I was creating, I thought why not create a set...There are still several gourds left too!

Hope you have a great Autumn Day where ever you are!  I appreciate you stopping by today, I give thanks for all of you who frequent my blog, you are such a blessing to me!  Here are all the items for today's creation.  Clink on the "HERE" links to take you to The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store to see all the items in detail!

  • Tim Holtz Memo Pins are found HERE.  There are 30 pins in a package and were easy peasy to push into the gourds. They also come in three finishes, ten of each color!
  • HERE is My Minds Eye Lost & Found Sunshine Designer Paper.  I always have been fond of this paper, it is what I stamped on and die cut the labels from.
  • Suede Leaves are HERE. What can I say, I LOVE these leaves and have for years.  They are soft, come in various colors and did I say I LOVE using them?
  • Candy Gems - Caramel Apple are located HERE. I separated these beauties and used a couple of the gems on each gourd.  A wonderful value!
  • JR Antique Autumn Tags One are HERE.  These stamps are so much more than just an autumn set.  I will use many of these sentiments throughout the entire year! (it is the very first set pictured in this link)
  • JR Antique Tags One DIES are HERE.  How wonderful it is to have coordinating dies, you gotta the simplicity of this!
  • Memento Tuxedo Black Ink is what I used for some of the stamping and is found HERE.
