JustRite is featuring At the Beach Oval Medallion Labels today!  This canvas uses the larger word stamp in the set. The little glass bottle is filled with fine sand colored FlowerSoft.  It is also used around the edges of the die cut stamped focal point. Designer papers used here and on all the canvases is Webster's Pages yacht club found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Here is the first canvas, using the quote stamp and seashells!  LOVE pearl in the netting, which is cheesecloth.  One more canvas to go and the four will be complete!  Can't wait to get them on the wall!

Frugal Friday!

Hello! Here we are with another JustRite Challenge! We are calling this one Frugal Friday! The challenge is to recycle or reuse an item and transform that something into a gift in some way! It gave me a chance to create a twig placecard holder idea I saw a while back from Martha Stewart! (I am gifting these to me!)

Instead of a name placecard holder I am going to be using these on my holiday buffet table to identify foods & beverage! I added more of an embellishment than Martha! I did not make these buttons, I bought them years ago and dug them out of the bottom of my button jar. But if you desired you could take embroidered felt and make your own using a covered button kit that are available at your fabric store. The holly leaves are made by cutting my rose leaves into holly looking leaves! I adding a bead of glue along the edges and dipped into fine glitter. No need to buy holly leaves! Again using what I already have!

The sentiment tag is from JustRite's Happy Everything Tag Making Kit! A spinkle of glue and Polar White Flower Soft on the twigs to look like snow and we're done! A hot glue gun was used to glue twigs together at each end leaving a slot to hold the white cardstock! Twigs, old buttons, transformed rose leaves along with a stamped sentiment! Doesn't get much cheaper, ahem frugal than that! lol

Blizzard Bunch by Diane Arthurs!

Welcome to a JustRite new set reveal day! We are happy to introduce a new set designed by artist, Diane Arthurs called Blizzard Bunch! Not only for holiday use, but right on through the winter season with the adorable snowmen in the set! I opted for the darling Santa on my card today! Isn't he cute? JustRite Friday Challenge!

For our JustRite's Friday Challenge this week, we are partnering with FlowerSoft! Have you seen FlowerSoft's new gold and silver diamond range? I used the gold on my project today, along the ornament edging, and on a band across the middle. It's one of those creations that kept growing as I went along!

The KaiserCraft ornament is approximately 5 1/4" x 6 1/2" and is about 1/4" thick. It is made of a pressed board material and is extremely sturdy. I started by adhering my designer paper to the ornament, sanding the edges, and applying scor tape all around the ornament edging. The excess tape that extends up from the edging is pressed down securing the Webster's pages netting. The tape also how the FlowerSoft Gold is attached.

The ornament sentiment is found in JustRite's Christmas Nested Sentiments and Verse and cut using Spellbinders Tags Trio Die #2.

This was a hard creation to photo! The trims and ribbons grew and grew! I love the crinkle ribbon along with the sheer. The purple trim is from Webster Pages Holiday designer trim package. Purple snowflakes are from Hero Arts, along with Martha Stewart punched snowflakes with a gold glitter center.

Week 1 JustRite Blog Hop!

Welcome to JustRite's Week One Christmas Blog Hop! We will be celebrating every Wednesday for twelve consecutive weeks with Christmas inspiration goodness! For my creation today I made an ornament utilizing an image from JustRite's Groovy Snowman Set. I settled on the Snowlady for this ornament! I love these images, snowmen always make me smile and warm my heart! The "snow" in the container is FlowerSoft Polar White!

The image is Copic colored with added Spica pens that give a sparkle to the cuffs, carrot nose, hat embellishment and tree!

A look at the tin top before I finished, to let you see the holes created using my CropaDile. I threaded my silk ribbon through and tied to create the ornament hanger. The silk bow is attached with a glue dot.

Oh, Baby! Stamp Simply 125

Happy Friday! Time for Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply challenge! We are to create something baby, first birthday, shower, congrats, anything, as long as it's baby! etc. Created this first birthday card for our grandson. Upper and Lowercase 50pt Times New Roman Font is used for the name. I love this Flower Soft stamp, it's how I imagine our grandson, Kaylub...as he grows. The image is colored with Copic markers.

What great timing is Sharon's challenge, because Kaylub turned one yesterday! A peek of him with project I made HERE. Can't believe a year has passed us by!

Here is the card inside. Using 15pt Times New Roman JustRite font I created my sentiment, then added a chipboard number. I sanded the number and added that cute fish jar for embellishment!

Bookmarks for JustRite's Garden Tour1

I have been waiting to make these bookmarks forever! I placed this idea in my favorites last year! Unfortunately, my email crashed last night along with all my bookmarks, favorites, blogs, stores, technique sites, etc. and they are not accessible! So, please forgive me for not giving proper credit where credit is due, I will edit when I get back all that info! The silk ribbon is from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. The hardware is SU. The punched image is held in the hardware by clear lacquer carefully placed on the backside of the inner rim. I then adhered a backing of the DP to give it a finished look. I utilized two new JustRite sets for my floral bookmark end. The pink flower is from Plant a Little Love. Obviously I only used a snippet, but you can see the image in it's totality along with the other centers and borders. I started with one continuous piece of ribbon, looping it at the bottom end and threading it through the slide, making sure the short tail is tucked under the long piece. I then threaded the long piece up through the top hole and tied the end off with a bead! All designer paper is Madeline from K & Company. The multi colored floral image is from JustRite's set, My Garden. Here again you can see the beautiful image centers and borders. What a wonderful garden tour these two sets create! Creating "From the Library" labels adds a little more to the gift. I stamped on sticker paper with StazOn black for both the border and center initial. I distressed the edges after cutting the circles out with my Spellbinders die. Just peel and stick! And here is the Three Border Set that I used for my label borders. For a variance, I used a initial border from JustRite's Damask Borders Deluxe Kit.

The floral images are stamped on watercolor paper. After applying color to my images, I added a touch of Ultra Fine Flower Soft. This is a new Flower Soft product that will be available February 1. It adds some depth to the flowers and leaves. On the pink flower, I added Ultra Fine Strawberry Fizz and a tiny bit of Ultra Fine Citrus Crush in the flower center. On the leaves I added Ultra Fine Sage. I used the same colors on the second floral image minus the Raspberry Fizz. ***Check out Flower Soft designers, Jenn, Jeanne, Deb and the Flower Soft BLOG to see some fabulous creations!

A close-up peek of the closed container to reveal the half pearls attached to the underside of the container. Gives it a little lift and adds some charm to the overall package. They are attached with glue dots. The outer container strips of paper are adhered to the with scor tape.

And one more pic of the gift with the card I made last week! I love the coordination of the set. Adding a bookstore gift card would add to the theme as well, or even a book to gift along with the package! Limitless possibilities! And always JustRite!

Is it Spring Yet?

For Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply challenge this week, we are thinking spring. ANY thing spring; green grass, flowers, or even spring colors will do the trick! So, I've made a baby card for a family at church who had a boy about ten days ago. With blue skies, green grass, and a tree in bloom! I started with a card topper from Flower Soft's Nursery Rhyme Collection. It consists of eight pieces, 4 card stock toppers and 4 coordinating papers. This card uses one of the papers. I trimmed it down to accommodate my card layout. White and blue card stock is from Papertreyink, brown patterned paper is Crafty Secrets, Earthy.

In this photo you can see where I added my new Ultra Fine Flower Soft. On the little lamb, the color is Sand, the greens in the bush background and apple tree is Sage, and the red apple color is Strawberry. LOVE the Ultra Fine texture and colors! It will be available for purchase on February 1. Button is from BoBunny, ribbon is Michaels. I long to see green grass again, flowers, or trees in full bloom! How about you? Geesh, just a little sunshine would be great in overcast west Michigan! We did have a heat wave (so the weather man said) today 37 degrees! As you can tell I'm ready for a little bit of spring about now! So why not get a little of spring in our paper craft creations and join in on the Stamp Simply challenge?

Flower Soft Goodness!

What better way to start out the first Monday of 2010 than with a Flower Soft blog hop! Happy New Year to YOU!

For today's creation, I chose to use one of the darling Hedgerows from the Hedgerow Friends With Love Card Toppers pack. I cut her out and covered her fur with Nut Brown Flower Soft. I then added Baby Pink and Russet Red to the little hearts on the envelope she is holding! I also added a clear heart sticker to the envie! The sky is created with my SU Cloud, Moon, and Stars template, an oldie but goodie! She's ready to be placed in the gate opening!

I used my Flower Soft stamp set, "The Gate" to create the fence and gate. I know! Flower Soft has stamp sets TOO! Oh, what a great surprise!!! A punched heart, tied and placed on the gate with a brad carries the heart theme from the front to the inside of the gate! Christmas Green and Summer Mix Flower Soft is added to the bottom card front. An adhesive pearl serves as the gate door knob. Papertreyink velvet flowers are added to the base of the card front as well, after I added a touch of Flower Soft to each center! I love how this little touch of Flower Soft adds dimension and color to the card front! To adhere all the Flower Soft colors, I utilized my Flower Soft glue. JustRite snowy gift packaging for Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Challenge!

A SNOWY challenge! We have been getting a lot of snow lately, here in west Michigan! But no worries where you live, whether it's snowy or dry land, we are throwing around snow in cyberspace for Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply challenge! Just create and add snow! This package already had snowflakes, and a snowflake tag, but I chose to take it a step further and embellish the tag!

This ready made package is a CD holder and was purchased at Michaels. I went in the store for something totally unrelated to this and decided to use my 40% off coupon, because all the other items in my cart were on sale and not eligible for the coupon. Sooo...it cost .60 plus tax. Talk about a bargain! I am packaging a gift card for my Aunt. It just makes it seem more like a gift! It's all about the packaging, right? I did dress up the tag a bit. After sizing down the green snowflake tag, I adhered it atop the stamped die cut circle. The stamped upper outer border is from JustRite's Holiday Demi Phrases Set. The lower outer border is created with JustRites's Times New Roman font.

Close up of the tag! I added Flower Soft polar white to the snowflake...adds dimension to the tag! The flap is held with the red elastic that came on the box. Copic colored holly leaf and berries, button embellishment with silver cording finish the tag. Just another angle of completed box. Quick, easy, and inexpensive! Just what I need about now! Flower Soft Christmas Blog Hop!

Santa's on his way! And we are kicking off December with a Flower Soft BLOG HOP! The design team gals have some super holiday inspiration for you today!

I chose to create a box to house this Santa Key I purchased after Christmas last year...you know one of those after holiday bargains! I bought it at Cracker Barrel and kept it all this time! After removing the tag, I added ribbon on the key and on the tag before placing in box. I have seen similar keys in the ornament sections of various stores this year.

The box size was determined by the length of the key, adding three inches to the width and length. The top is 1/8" larger than the box bottom. Both are scored 1 1/2" in from edges on all sides. Box lid paper is FaLaLa by Making Memories, box bottom is SU. For complete box instructions, check this previous POST. (scroll down to end of post for instructions)

Included with the snow globe materials, there is a aperture template for the oval size needed to fit the snow globe. I chose to place the snow globe in the box lid, so I used this template to trace the outline, cut the opening for the snow globe. All globe plastic edges on the underside of lid are taped, then I lined the lid with a piece of the red cardstock to cover the edges of the plastic globe and the Santa topper paper. I lightly drew a pencil line on the Santa topper, making it easier to see where to stop the Polar White Flower Soft. A bit on Santa's eyebrows and mustache add great dimension. Added to the bear nose is black Flower Soft and a tiny bit of nut brown Flower Soft around the eyes.

All Wrapped UP! Stamp Simply #114

My Friday's have become permanent Fabulous Friday's in my world! Why, you ask...because I will be working with Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Team and participating in Sharon's Friday Stamp Simply challenges! WhoooHooo...I am so blessed to be working with Sharon and her talented team of designers!

On to the challenge, today Sharon and the Stamp Simply gals will be sharing gift wrapping ideas. You may wrap ANY thing, for ANY occasion! Well, I did wrap this felt ornament I made, by placing it into a clear box (re purposed stamp box), added some ribbon and a JustRite tag. This ornament is now ready for gift giving! Looking at the tag close up, I hope you can see the black Flower Soft on this snowman's hat. It really adds texture, and looks woolen like! Copics are used to color my image. The green ribbon for tag, is folded in half, the halved end is thread up through the punched circle. I knotted the folded end and pulled the ribbon from the back so just the knot is seen on the tag top. The ribbon tails are tied around Gingham ribbon. The outer ring on tag uses a sentiment from JustRite's Holiday Demi Phrases. I completed my sentiment on the lower border, by adding wording utilizing 15pt. Times New Roman Font. Because I wanted to attach my tag on it's left side, I trimmed my Demi Phrase, and placed both holly leaves on the right. Gotta love the versatility of making the tag JustRite! The tag center snowman is from JustRite's Something Sweet Set. Love this little guy. Check out JustRite's Christmas Set SALE, 20% off all Christmas sets. Remember to check out their blog too! The right side bar always lists the current JustRite creations found in blog land! Snowmen just make me smile! As does Sharon's ribbon! Love that too! Flower Soft Favorites

Good Tuesday Morning! Thank you for the Flower Soft wishes! I have been using Flower Soft to create dimension on my cards for some time now and picked a few favorites to show you. So excited I am, now to be part of their design team!

This is probably my favorite...Love the colors... and how the mitten fur looks so real! Just a sprinkle or a solid area of Flower Soft can add so much to your creations.

And the subtle flower soft on Santa's beard and eyebrows is wonderful here!
