Witch Hat Cookies with NEW Packaging Ideas!

WELCOME to Super Saturday, where I will share an updated version of a papercrafting golden oldie idea or creation I have made in past years! I love to revisit previous ideas and give them a new twist, different packaging, or maybe add a current product or two.  How about we start with the Witch Hat Cookies?  I first blogged this popular treat HERE.  It's in need of updated packaging for sure! Sit back, relax, and yes, grab a cup of your favorite beverage, this is one long post!  

Here are three new packaging ideas!  One container is purchased while the other two are using recycled materials. The rectangle container is a gallon size baggie box!  Yes, it's true! The net bag is from a bag of gourds I purchased a while ago for the project HERE.  The silver lid container was purchased at TJ Maxx, which is also similar to a Marshalls or a HomeGoods Stores depending on where you live! 

Before I get into the packaging details, let's talk about ingredients. Here they are, all three of them!  I know, so easy!  

Truly the most difficult task creating these adorable treats is unwrapping the Hershey Kisses.  After they are unwrapped, turn your Keebler Fudge Stripe Cookies over as shown in picture.  A few pointers I've learned along the way. When applying the orange icing, place it around the edge of the kiss, that way when you place the kiss onto the cookie you will not end up with an orange blob of icing going through the middle of the cookie and making an orange mess!  Yes, I'm speaking from experience!

Here are the pretties!  I do leave them out for a few hours allowing the icing to reset. You will want to press the kiss down lightly to create a nice orange icing ring around the kiss. Do not press too hard, or it will crack the cookie!  Yes, again I am speaking from experience!

For the first packaging idea I placed three cookies in a clear type baggie, and placed it into the netted bag.  I tied the net bag with seam binding found HERE.  For my tag I stamped the sentiment from JustRite's Clear Stamp Set, Autumn Words.  A wonderful set with endless uses and again I'm sharing one of those go to sets! This set features 40 stamps for $13.95.  It's found HERE in The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store.  The leaf is an image from the same set.  I stamped the lightest color first, with the next darkest color and ending with the darkest color, so I could overlap the inks successfully!  After the leaf was trimmed I shaded the edges, glued it upon that darling Prima Wooden Clip HERE and added a Kaisercraft Adhesive Pearl found HERE.  The Prima Wooden Clip holds the sentiment tag securely in place and makes it easy to remove so the treats can be readily accessed!

This container is plastic with a lightweight tin lid.  The lid creates a great seal so it really is a good choice to keep food items fresh.  Again using Justrite's Autumn Words located HERE, I chose the word stamps I wanted to use and placed them onto my clear block to stamp onto my paper. The leaves on this tag are created the same as described for the creation pictured above.  

This tag's components as with the tag in the previous photo are cut using Spellbinders dies.  These dies are matting sets that are beautifully coordinated. This allows the easy matting of layers creating interest and beauty in your creations. Check out the Basic Matting Sets A & B found HERE and the coordinating A2 Fancy Weave Set HERE. Adding the matching Seam Binding completes the embellishing for this container!  Seam Bindings are HERE.  A touch of designer paper around the lid creates a bit of color that ties in with the rest of the embellishments. 

For the final packaging idea, I used an empty gallon size baggie box.  I removed the top and added my own card stock lid, attaching it with scor tape found HERE. It is scored to create a tuck-in type top!  Parchment paper is lining the box and will keep the cookies from moving all around!

And can I just say, what more of a perfect paper could there be for these treats?  Look at the darling hats on this paper I used to cover the box.  Scor Tape found HERE secures the paper in place.  The striped paper border  is cut into strips and really accents the box well. The paper is from Webster's Pages, Once Upon A Halloween 6" x 6" pad.  Oh my, the goodness found in this paper pad is terrific!  Whether you make hat treats or not, this paper could be used for a plethora of other ideas.  Yes, oh my, Yes!  Once Upon A Halloween is located HERE at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. 

I wanted to give you a close up of this particular tag.  I cut this from one of the paper pad's pages.  There are two pages of these easy to cut sentiments.  What a great way to use the paper!  After cutting the sentiment, I also cut three other papers to coordinate with the covered box.  The top two tag layers are popped up using 3D foam square dimensionals found HERE.  Finishing the package with Orange Ric Rac and Black Burlap String complete the look and in an oh so easy fashion!  Ric Rac is HERE and the Burlap string is found HERE!

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, Clean & Simple!

Happy Friday!  Today, I have a simple Christmas Card to share and it doesn't involve stamping! LOVE Webster's Pages Perfect Accents resin embellishments, so easy to use! The Christmas Candle oval is one of my favorites and is HERE. My card today is a 5" square card using designer papers from My Minds Eye.  All My Mind's eye Paper Pads are HERE.  The Spellbinder dies I used are called Majestic Elements, Exquisite Circles.(more info found below)  2" Gold wire edged silky crushed ribbon found HERE.  The wonderful red seam binding is HERE.  1/8" Aqua velvet ribbon is HERE.  A note about the red seam binding, I twisted and glued it around the oval resin candle embellishment using Aleene's Tacky Glue. Kaisercraft adhesive pearls are HERE. Shading on paper edges is accomplished using TIm Holtz "Old Paper" Distress Ink found HERE.

Spellbinders Majestic Elements Exquisite Circle Dies

This was my first time working with these dies and talk about easy with results that look so intricate and, well, EXQUISITE!  This particular set has six dies and they are designed to tuck into each other if desired...Upon a closer look at my card, I tucked the points of the aqua roundish die cut into the outer die cut frame. You can cut frames, you can mix and match the dies to create different designs...it is majestic but in such a simple and easy way!  Check them out HERE.

Untie the Ribbons...

Good Morning!  I am writing these posts early because I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of our third granddaughter!  Grandma will be with her two older siblings and I want to make sure I get my blog work done!  So, without further ado, Welcome to JustRite's Day Two of Becca Feeken's October Stamp/Die Kit Reveal.  Are you lovin' all the ideas the design team is sharing? (I am!)

If you guessed something heart shaped from yesterday's clue, then you got it right!  I found this darling heart shaped grapevine wreath that has been embellished with a few sprigs of greenery and moss at Michaels.  It's a fairly current purchase, so hoping if you want one, it will be at your Mikes!

A close up at the tag and spools.  I wrapped the 1/8" ribbon around each spool and secured with score tape.  The bows atop the spools are secured with Aleene's Tacky Glue.  The spools are also attached to the wreath with Aleene's Tacky Glue as well.

The "Untie the Ribbons" sentiment is just one of the 21 JustRite Clear Stamps in Becca's It's Sew Vintage Set!  Wonderful sentiments along with Becca's signature vintage designs makes for one terrific stamp set!

I cut my sentiment with the spool die from the above JustRite Custom Spellbinders Dies, Vintage Frame Label & Spool Topper set.  I kept the die on my card stock to add the lavender ink onto the stamped portion of the tag.  It left the edge a nice crisp white that I then edged with distress ink.

Weaving Life's Threads....

Hello!  Becca Feeken's October Stamp Kit is going to knock your socks off!  Well, not really, but you get the drift of the expression!  It has WOW factor!  Today and tomorrow I will share creations I've made with Becca's October kit stamps and dies!

My card today measures approximately 4" x 4" with the front panel base being cut with my Decorative Labels One die!  I could not resist using the Becca's Vintage Alphabet Soup stamped background, cutting it into strips and literally weave it!  Perfect match for the wonderful sentiment that Becca has included in this set.

   

The wonderful It's Sew Vintage set features 21 clear stamps!  Aside from  the sentiment, I also stamped two spool toppers to embellish my die cut sentiment.  

And of course what makes the stamps even more delightful to work with is the fact they have Coordinating JustRite Spellbinders Dies.  I love the ease of creating and having these dies ready to cut out my stamping pieces!  

Tomorrow I will have an altered piece of decor to share!  Let me just say, I {heart} it!  That definitely is your clue!  See you then!

Just For YOU!

Good Monday Morning!  Here is a card I made some time ago using up some of my "older paper scraps" and playing with stamping directly on the designer paper! LOVE those Tim Holtz Memo Pins, it holds Celebrate securely in place.  Memo Pins are found HERE.  The burlap string accents the main tag sentiment and is found HERE. I added two small black adhesive rhinestones for the owls eyes  and four paper corners, they are found HERE.

Could not let the remainder stamped designer paper go to waste!  A great way for that dilemma is to adhere it to the card inside.  For this card it works wonderfully.  The designer paper itself is great, but adding the stamped sentiments it grand!  A circle embellishment using a suede string knot finishes it perfectly! Suede string is found HERE.

With Gratitude Labels One is one of those "go to" sets that stampers talk about.  Every now and then there are "those" sets that sit on my desk, because I know I can and will use them time and time again for a multitude of stamping needs!  Not only does this JustRite Clear Set feature 19 stamps, it is designed to coordinate with JustRite Custom Dies, Antique Labels One Dies, in which I used with the "Just For You" sentiment.  You can find both the stamp set HERE and the Dies HERE at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Good Wednesday to you!  Every Wednesday leading into the holidays, The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Designers will be bringing you simple Christmas card ideas!

Today, I chose to use my Spellbinders M- Bossibilites Winter Wonders Folder to create my card panel!  I rubbed white SU craft ink onto the embossed snowflakes and used Tim Holtz Distress Shabby Shutters Ink on the trees.  Around the panel edges and a bit among the trees I also shaded with Tim Holtz Scattered Straw Distress Ink.  This M-Bossibilities folder is a wonderful value as it has two design images to emboss. Two for one!  The size of the dry embossed area is 5' x 7" and I trimmed it to 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" before adhering it to my 5" x 7" red card. 

I decided to add May Arts Satin Reindeer trim in the sky area!  I LOVE this trim and it is so simple to use!  Then of course, we had to add a tiny red Kaiser Adhesive pearl to create a Rudolph nose!  The sentiment is found in JustRite Papercraft's With Gratitude Clear Stamp Set and is stamped with VersaFine Sepia Ink.  A Seam Binding bow, another adhesive pearl, and a Prima Velvet Leaf  complete the card embellishing! Trimming the velvet leaf into a holly leaf is another great way to stretch the use of those supplies!  Gotta LOVE that!

Autumn Damask!

Welcome to our final day of JustRite's September Release Sets!  Today we are previewing a new Background stamp, Autumn Damask.  I do believe this is one of my favorite background stamps ever!  Just look at my Mustard Colored Card Stock stamped with Memento's Potter's Clay Ink.  It looks like designer paper I die cut!

Just look at the entire 4 1/2" x 5 3/4" Autumn Damask beauty!  I am in love with this stamp!  It is a JustRite Cling stamp made of deeply etched rubber that clings any acrylic block.  

I hope this close up gives you a better idea of the detail the stamps add.  The green decorative piece on the card is a punch out from Kaisercraft's Paper Pad, These Days found in The Stamps Simply Store.  The pearls are from Want2Scrap and are individually placed.  The gorgeous silk ribbon, seam binding and Prima Rose can be found at The Stamp Simply Store.  I used Spellbinder's Grand Decorative Ovals One for my card base and the damask panel, Love these Grand Dies, take a peek at all of them HERE! 

Grand Sentiments is the JustRite set previewed on Monday!  HERE is the link if you missed it!  Lovely and Grand is how I would describe this clear stamp goodness!  JustRite Grand Sentiments features 36 stamps making your stamping options endless!  I used three of these stamps on my card today.  Two were subtle but add that extra perfect detail!  Do you see the stamping I am referring to?  Across the purple card stock paper strip, you will see, Thinking of You, and below that, I added a decorative stamp onto the green designer paper.  The Happy Birthday is pretty obvious as is the background stamping!  Hope you have enjoyed September's previews!  Take Good Care!

Thank You Set of Lace Medallions! JustRite Style!

Welcome to DAY TWO of JustRite's September Release!  I was out of town for a couple days and missed yesterday's preview, but will add a stamp or two from the set revealed, Grand Sentiments (btw,this is a wonderful set, grand in every sense of the word), on Thursday's Release creation!

For today, I made a trio of Thank You cards.  Pretty straightforward, easy, and I love how the lace medallion looks when embossed! I used white SU Craft Ink with clear embossing powder on my colored card stock!  Memento inks to stamp a coordinating Thank You for each card keeps the design simple!

Look at this Lace Medallion loveliness!  Such possibility with the stamps in this set designed by Amy Tedder.  It's a clear set that features 15 stamps.  Lace Medallion Labels coordinates with JustRite's Custom Dies, Nested Oval Medallion Spellbinder Dies which is the die set I used for my cards today.

I also have posted each card individually.  They all have a white paper doily (from my local dollar store) that is attached to the card base, with the stamped lace medallion secured upon it.  The 5/8" white cotton lace is wonderful to weave the seam binding through, no?

The blue version sports a Mini Princess Petal Flower from Webster's Pages with an added button and adhesive pearl to the center.  A bit of the white cotton lace to the flower base and attached to the seam binding bow!  

I rounded each card's four corners before shading all edges with the same inks as used with the sentiments.  The yellow and purple card have Prima roses.  Adhesive pearls are added to each die cut sentiment medallion too.   Click on the respective highlighted, colored words to take you to the featured products.  There you will be able to see all the details and info!

This idea came to me when I saw the bag of small plastic gourds from Michaels.  They are Michael's Ashland brand.  I knew Tim Holtz Memo Pins would easily hold a sentiment and embellishments to create a darling table place setting!  As I was creating, I thought why not create a set...There are still several gourds left too!
