Gingerbread Candle Man!
Ahhhh...life is good! I had a super, wonderful, fantastic, few days! My husband was gifted a golf/resort stay. As he golfed, I stamped, colored, and watched one of my favs, the Food network channel! The lake view was awesome...the dinners and sunsets were perfect and I even did a little shopping! Here is one of my purchases, this darling gingerbread candle! I knew I had this extra little gingerbread image waiting in my studio! Isn't he cute? Perfect for a little hostess gift! I used foam tape to attach my Copic colored image to a white cardstock circle. Music dp is Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly, and distressed dp is Basic Grey. The mini gingerbread cookie cutters are from Jesse James Company and were purchased in a "Dress It Up" package from Michaels. Hemp twine ties the tag onto the candle. The JustRite image is from their Favorite Occasions set. I used the same image HERE.

Margie's Salad Dressing/JustRite Mega Font Hop/Day TWO
While our girls were growing up, we lived in a wonderful neighborhood, with terrific neighbors. Because we lived quite a distance from relatives, and my hubby always worked holidays, weekends, our neighbors became family. We ate together, celebrated birthdays, and helped one another often. One particular couple, were school teachers, with Margie teaching Home Economics. Boy, could she cook! I learned so much from her, and she and her husband were like grandparents to our girls. What a blessing!
We have since moved from that wonderful neighborhood, Margie and her hubby retired and moved north, and our girls have ventured away from the nest. I often share recipes from time to time at their request. Margie used to make this salad dressing often and it became a favorite! Thinking I wanted to create recipe cards for our daughters with this particular salad dressing recipe, led me to JustRite's Preserves Set. It is pictured above on my JustRite 2 3/8" round wooden block. I chose the salsa image but wanting the image to say "Salad" (instead of salsa) I reached for my JustRite Brayton Font. I used 50pt font for the word Salad, 50pt and 25pt for Margie's name on the card. I used my JustRite 1 5/8" round wooden block and JustRite 1 3/8" x 3 1/2" rectangular stamper to set my letters. I'm not fond of my own handwriting, but know when I reach for a recipe that has been handwritten by Margie it pulls at the heart. Hopefully my girls will feel the same.
As this idea developed, it seemed I saw items that were salad related and the gift grew! Bamboo salad utensils, an Oil/Vinegar Cruet, and look at that salad dish towel. All tied together with Papertreyink and Sharon Johnson ribbons! After backing the recipe card with black cardstock, I placed it atop a flat 6" X 8 1/2" cello bag for the photo. I trimmed the cello bag side to fit the card, hoping this will keep the recipe card looking like new! LOL The recipe cards are from Papertreyink.
Copics used: O(colorless blender), G07, G21, G24,G99, YG06, YG09, BV08, V12, V15, B17, R22, R27, YR09, YR65, Y08, Y15, Y17. Spellbinder circle die cut image is placed on black card stock. My salad banner is trimmed to circle, bottom vegetables are cut out and adhered with foam tape. I know my girls frequently visit here, so act surprised, ladies when I give you your Recipe Gift set!I hope you like!

CPS meets SCS Ways to Use It!
I thought I would try to combine two challenges today, using a JustRite flower image! The Splitcoaststampers Ways to Use It Challenge (WT235) was to use red! I think this card is screaming a bit of red, don't you? I repurposed a red gift box ribbon to suggest the three boxes in the Card Positioning Systems (CPS 132) layout challenge (two loops and center) and added a cuttlebug panel to tie in the flower theme. Added buttons with bakers string to look like the buttons are stitched. And that helps tie in the stitching on the ribbon edge! The picture glare is pretty bad...I apologize!
My tag image is from JustRite's Wood Stamper 2" Set that includes a bonus 15pt. font and flowers/vase center image. I copic colored and added adhesive gem centers to the flower centers, and crystal effects on the vase to suggest glass.
It felt great to finally play in a couple of challenges. Hopefully you will get a chance to play along too! Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by! Take good care!

Gingerbread Blessings
Need a little something for holiday gifts, one that is mindful on the budget, and oh...so ready to be personalized with your JustRite touch? That is exactly what this scented spice sachet packet accomplishes! I purchased this sachet at a small gift shop, I'm talking a card shop, loaded with ideas, and has a pharmacy too! Yes, it's one of those small hometown shops! I felt like I had found a goldmine! Of course, you can purchase this type of item at JoAnn's, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, etc. This Gingerbread Spice sachet was only 99 cents! The packaging is darling, and such tasteful work from The Homespun Designs of Angela Anderson. And it looks like it cost far more than 99 cents! SCORE!
When I spied this sachet, I instantly remembered the JustRite gingerbread image from JustRite's Favorite Occasions Set. I cut my border sentiment into two pieces so I could add my own wording on the bottom half of my border. Using my 6pt small letters set (pictured above) I spelled out WARM GINGERBREAD BLESSINGS. It really completes the overall theme of this little gift! That's what I LOVE about JustRite products! I can spell out any name, sentiment, or wording I want. And utilizing a cut half border or using a JustRite DEMI PHRASE makes it even easier.
A closer look at my 1 5/8" round wooden stamper, all set to go! The small letter set is one of the first JustRite products I purchased and I have to tell you, it's still one of my favorites! Makes me feel like I'm setting up a mini printing press!
Using tan cardstock, I stamped my image with Adirondack Espresso ink, and used Copic markers (shown above) to color! After the Copic coloring was completed, I went in with my Inkssentials Opaque white pen on the arm and leg trim.
A closer peek at the Copic Coloring. If time allows, when I choose to gift this item, I can step it up a notch and add some gingerbread cookies, a gingerbread cookie cutter, or an ornament! Oh, the possibilities!
JustRite is the Splitcoaststamper product focus today! Check it out, and this YouTube demo! The fantastic designers listed below reveal awesome creations using JustRite's Christmas and Demi Phrase products! You will be so inspired!

A Card For Kate
Remember THIS POST so long ago? Rarely do I keep cards or items I create. They are gifted to loved ones, friends, and those who need a lift. But for some reason I kept this set of cards. I loved everything about them. The out of the box use of Papertreyink's Green Thumb set, the Aqua Mist cardstock, ink, and ribbon, the swiss dot cuttlebugged panel, just everything! Truth be known, I just did not want to part with them. Until now. After visiting Debbie Olsen's blog and reading THIS POST, I knew I wanted to participate and send a card to Kate. (If you would like to visit Jennifer McGuire's info about Kate and her family, click HERE) After seeing Kate's precious picture and reading her story, so heartfelt written by her Mom, I knew this card would be perfect.
But it needed to include her name, so my JustRite cupboard is where I went. I pulled out my neglected Bonus 60pt Times New Roman font to create a name banner utilizing my rectangular stamper. I stamped Kate with Adirondack Espresso ink, clipped end, added a Dill button/ribbon embellishment, and changed up the dress bodice with a piece of aqua mist cardstock. The flower rhinestone was replaced with a brown Kaiser adhesive pearl.
The hanger is a stem stamp, the dress top is the boot top, and the dress skirt is three strawberry stamped images, individually cut out. Love using images in ways otherwise intended! I hope Kate likes it too. Do you have a card(s) to send for the Cards For Kate drive. What a blessing it would be! Take good care!
