********************************************************************

Here is my take on the CardPositioning Systems layout challenge this week! The JustRite sponsored sketch is pictured on the left. It is a real challenge for me to create this size card! Thank goodness for challenges! I did adapt the sizing though! lol The size of my card for this CPS #166 is 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" making it suitable to fit a A4 envelope. All cardstock is SU with the exception of the Papertreyink Vintage Cream.

And here is a closeup pic of the stamped image. It can be found in JustRite's Applique Square centers and borders set. The image is colored with Copic Markers, C1, C3, Y08, Y11, G03, YG08. Just look at all the coloring possibilities in this set!!! Oh my! Not enough hours in a day! The gorgeous ribbon is from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store! The silk ties so smoothly! And the buttons are tied with 1/8" silk too! LOVE that look! Hope you get a chance to play along with the CPS sketch this week! Check out all the details HERE for your chance to win some candy, sponsored by JustRite!

JustRite Stampers is sponsoring the Card Positioning Systems Sketch Challenge this week! All prize details are HERE. Hope you play along! Good Luck! The Copic colored flower image on my card is found in this JustRite set, Beautiful Blossoms. I chose to cut the image out with my craft knife, and raise the middle image with foam dimensionals. The Happy Birthday sentiment comes from JustRite's set, JustA Note. All 1 5/8" JustRite Stamps are on 20% off this month! Check it out, Great deal!
A closer look at the flower, I added a Taylored Expressions rhinestone dot to each flower center with my Tombow Multi liquid glue. The silk ribbon is from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store! Patterned paper is October Afternoon, Report Card. All cardstock is SU.
Tomorrow is The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store March Blog HOP! Remember THIS ribbon flower goodness? There will be a bucket of that goodness and a ribbon package offered as blog candy! Take good care, see you tomorrow!

Card Positioning Systems Sketch meets JustRite

This weeks Card Positioning Systems sketch is sponsored by JustRite! You have until Saturday, February 6, 8pm CST to play along! If you share your CPS creation (details on their BLOG) you will receive a chance to win JustRite's new set, STITCHED WITH LOVE! How cool is that? I turned the CPS sketch to create a vertical creation. I will be using this creation to give a garden center gift card. So, this Journal Note from Crafty Secrets Homemade fit the sketch nicely! I purchased my note pack from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. I trimmed the bottom, but left a few lines to write a message. The Kraft card stock is 4' x 11" and scored 2 11/16" in from the top and bottom. I then marked the center of the flap end (2"), and cut diagonally from the score line to the center mark. The point was corner rounded.
The stamped sentiment is from JustRite's set, Seeds of Kindness. All circles are punched using EKSuccess punches.
I have shown you how I placed my dimensionals to create a channel, so my string runs through it perfectly.
You can see the placement of the black circle to the top flap. I stitched the journal note to the black card stock, then machine stitched along the sides and bottom of the black creating a pocket for the gift card. Scor Tape is used to adhere to Kraft card stock and also to attach the Kraft to the green.
CREATION INFO:
Ink: StazOn Black, Tim Holtz Old Paper Distress Ink
Paper: Papertreyink Kraft, Crafty Secrets Homemade Journal Note (Stamp Simply Ribbon Store), all other is SU
Other: Dimensionals, circle punches- ,oval punch, sponge dauber, sewing machine, Glue Glider (Joan's Gardens), Jute String (Stamp Simply Ribbon Store)
Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday! Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it so very much! The JustRite set, I used yesterday for my pin cushion project is shown in it's entirety HERE. Take good care!

Fantasy Floral Clearly

The inspiration for this layout is the CPS 84 layout challenge. I love their challenges, but sadly do not have the time to play each week! I did it today! Go check out their site and be inspired! I also included a rub on quote which is the SCS challenge, using a quote or such on your creation. All papers are layered on the outside and inside of the clear card stock to hide any adhesives.
The floral image is from Flourishes Fantasy Floral Garden set. I stamped it with Memento tuxedo black ink on watercolor paper. Reinkers are used to watercolor image.
Papertreyink twill ribbon, ball head straight pin from the dollar store, Clear bead from SU pretties kit, scallop oval punch, and still using those sparkly embellis from my pal, Linsey!
HOPE YOU ARE HAVING A TERRIFIC THURSDAY AND WEEK SO FAR! I WILL BE OUT OF TOWN SATURDAY THROUGH MONDAY. A NEEDED REST WITH MY GIRLS AND MOM. HOPEFULLY I WILL BE ABLE TO POP IN AND SEE WHAT YOU ARE UP TO. I HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH THE NEW RELEASE SETS FROM FLOURISHES! IF YOU ARE STARTING TO PREPARE FOR THE HOLIDAYS, YOU WILL DEFINITELY NOT WANT TO MISS THE DEBUT NEXT WEEK! TAKE GOOD CARE! I SO APPRECIATE YOU STOPPING BY!

DREAM

CARD POSITIONING SYSTEMS challenge this week! The inspiration for the stamped images and sentiments, outer and inside are from FLOURISHES Fantasy Flower Garden. I have shown you two angles of card. This is an interactive card with a diamond shape paper clip holding it closed. Versamark and StazOn Jet Black inks along with Koh i Noor pencils blended with Turpenoid and stumps for color.
The red scallop is wool felt. I added white opal Liquid Pearls on it and on the dots for the outer card versamarked image. DP is American Crafts, black and grey is SU, and watercolor paper are the papers utilized. Silver circle is from SU Hodgepodge hardware, I added Kaiser Scrapbook self adhesive black pearl on the hardware and the inside dot on the sentiment word, friend. They are found at FLOURISHES. There are a ton of colors to choose from! Black ribbon is also from FLOURISHES.
Here is the open view! I am working on new lighting and photoing, so bear with me as I try to get this skill improved! Hope you had a safe and terrific Fourth of July celebration! Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it so very much. Take good care, HUGS,

Flourishing LOVE!

These adorable birds are from the Flourishes stamp set "Love Nest" that has a total of 22 stamps! Birds are so popular and this set has wonderful branches in three sizes, bird cages, nest, eggs, oh my goodness you just have to go and take a look. You will be glad you did! For this card I used this weeks Card Positioning Systems layout challenge. Martha Stewart punch with brown paper adhered underneath to show through and Basic Grey Sultry paper utilized on Papertreyink Stampers Select white card stock is what I used for this creation. Isn't this Flourishes sheer ribbon luscious? I wanted you to see a close up. It is so easily tied and does not take away from the focal point image. It is threaded through the top and bottom punched out white card stock. The birds are colored with Koh I Noor Pencils from GinaK Designs and blended with Odorless Turpenoid and stumps. I went back in with my white art eraser and lifted color off their bellies for dimension! Using the light grey pencil I drew around the birds and blended then lightly dusted blue chalk on a cotton ball around image. Thanks so much for stopping by! I am going to be pulling out my watercolor paper, and see what I can come up with in the next couple days! I hope you are having a great start to the week! Take good care, until next time, HUGS,
