Ribbon Inspiration, Stamp Simply Style-Cool Blue!

Hello! Welcome to Saturday's Stamp Simply Ribbon Inspiration! Today's focus is BLUE! So, how about Baby Blue! Remember the TWINS card I made HERE? Today's project is part of the baby gift that will accompany the card. When our friends sort all those baby clothes, all those sizes, pink and blue, how about labeled hangers to keep the sizes and gender organized in the closet? Let's get started.  

Individual Labeled Hanger

The first step was to purchase hangers. The set of ten were purchased from Michaels. I love the thin style so not much room will be taken up in the closet. Next was cutting the Spellbinders Labels Twenty One die #5. The die cuts were then stamped with JustRite's new background stamp, Harlequin Script. I inked the stamp and placed my die cut upon the inked rubber. Then, I placed a scrap piece of paper over the entire stamp, and lightly rubbed. After removing the scrap paper, I lifted the die cut, and folded in half! Ink used is Tim Holtz Blue Jeans Distress Ink.

A peek at the back of the finished hanger. The top edges of the die cut is held together with Aleene's Tacky Glue. The gorgeous bow is made with 2" Striped ribbon and is tied with Silver string, then tied onto the silver wired hanger. Nothing is glued directly on the hanger, so when the twins grow into the next size, the bow and label can be removed.  Easy!

The numbers and words are computer generated. The yellow patterned paper used is October Afternoon's 8"x8" paper pad, Seaside. When I linked the paper, I saw it's on sale for 6.00, marked down from $9.99.  ScorTape is what I used to adhere the stars onto my Labels Twenty One die cut.  The Background stamp really added just enough color and texture to the label!

Another Stampavie Image!

Here is a card using Stampavie Bobby and Me by Penny Johnson! I purchased this stamp at Joan's Gardens! I needed a little boy image for our grandson and this fit the bill nicely! Again it has been a long time coming getting it inky!

The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers. I have been giving the X-Press It Blending Cardstock a try with my Copics. I like it! It has taken a bit to get used to, but the finish is smoother and I seem to get the blending with more ease. I got mine HERE at Ellen Hutson's store.

The designer paper is from October Afternoon's Fly a Kite found HERE at The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store, cardstock is SU! All the embellishments are golden oldies from my stash! So there you have it! A card for our grandson! Now I have one more to make for our little Emma!

Let's talk about the card! The designer paper die cut panel is split and taped to peek out the top and bottom of the stamped image panel. Copic Markers used are Y11, Y15, Y17, YR68, B32, B34, YG13, YG17, CO, C1, T2, O. The terrific twill ribbon and bakers string are from The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store. I ran a stitch down the middle of the ribbon and gathered before inserting into the two slot punched openings and adhering to back of card panel. The designer paper is October Afternoon's Fly a Kite paper found at The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store as well. AND Sharon is running a sale on her papers to make room for all the new goods coming in! Just Ducky! JustRite!

JustRite is introducing another new Elizabeth Dulemba CLING stamp set, Just Ducky! And I created a birthday card for special two year old! October Afternoon DP, Prism colored cardstock, and Papertreyink white cardstock are the papers used. Here's a peek at the complete set! What a cute image along with many options for creating! Take a look at THIS most creative idea using Just Ducky created by Sharon Harnist! Don't you just LOVE it? The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Copic colored. Misc buttons, along with Martha Stewart Bakers string are the final embellishments to complete the card. Using an exacto craft knife I cut around the fingers to create a tiny pocket to place the star into. Machine stitching and Spellbinders Dies are also used on this creation. 5" x 5" is the finished card size. JustRite's Font, Mryiad Pro is used for the name on Just Ducky's card front. JustRite 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hop 9

Welcome to WEEK 9 of JustRite Stampers’ Wednesday feature, 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hops! Every Wednesday up until Thanksgiving designers will be joining some of the JustRite design team for a series of Christmas blog hops, showcasing JustRite’s entire Christmas Collection! JustRite has some Christmas stamps in their newly released CLING line of stamp sets too that you can find HERE. This week, designers joining the JustRite design team is the Just Us Girls (JUGS) challenge blog design team! Welcome girls!

For the month of November, we thought we would switch gears a little and throw in some holiday gift ideas using your JustRite stamps! Don't forget to tell Santa! For my creation today, I made a ABC Match Game for our grandson! He's really into letters right now and this is a perfect gift for him! I used two sets to get two cards of each letter, hence creating a match game! Of course simple letter recognition, using the coordinating words & pictures are a benefit too! Just look at the darling illustrations on the cards! I was pleasantly surprised when I turned the cards over to find a surface I could personalize! Mixing and matching (pun intended!) JustRite's newest font, Myriad Pro in different pt. sizes allowed me to come up with a wonderful way to personalize each card! Above is 95pt font in upper and lower case. This is the size used for the box name and ABC. Here is JustRite's Myriad Pro Font in 50pt size, I used both upper and lower case for the wording on card backs. I love the clean straight lines of this font! And since this is a Christmas gift, I added this sweet sentiment to the box backside! All the paper is from October Afternoons, Report Card. I cut out the box front alphabet and wording from a page in this paper pad as well! The outer stamped border and center are from JustRite's Christmas Joy set. The box embellishments are all attached to the removable belly band that slides onto the box. Just a hunch, I suspect one day this will be taken off and the inside cards and name will remain! Kaylub's Mommy will probably keep the belly band in his keepsakes!

So there you have it! A super simple way to spruce up an idea that is perfect for gift giving! I say it every time I use JustRite's fonts, so here goes again! There is nothing like receiving a gift with your name on it! JustRite fonts allow me to do just that! And that's what makes the perfect gift JustRite! Take good care!

Merry & Bright Groovy Snowman!

It's sweltering outside as I stamp & color images from JustRite's Groovy Snowman Set! This is my favorite time of year to create holiday cards and gifts. Less pressure, summer still in the air, and the grill being fired up for dinner!

Just look at all the snowmen goodness in this wonderful set, JR Groovy Snowman! I just smiled and smiled as I colored! I've never seen a snowman that did not just delight my heart! That is one reason several years ago how my snowmen collection began. I did decrease the collection quite a bit when we moved last year, however I still have many special snowmen to set out during the holiday and winter months.

The image is colored with Copic Markers, colors listed below. I was lucky enough to be in Debbie Olsen's first Copic class she instructed back in June while she was in Grand Rapids, Michigan! Can't say enough about her spectacular work, and she's just as kind, gracious, and lovely as you could imagine!

Another Christmas set, Christmas Nested Sentiments is shown above. Not only are these sentiments useful along side your stamped images, they surely will be as perfect for your cards inside!

Merry & Bright was stamped for today's outside sentiment, while I chose a larger, more wordy sentiment for the card inside. The possibilities for these Christmas sentiments are endless! Love the varied sizes, wording, and coordination usage with JustRite's nested frames.

This is but one of four cards I've created for a gift set! I'm repurposing a wonderful Christmas box from last year to house the set and will be revealing all that goodness this weekend. A Polka Dot Tea Party!

I cut the letters from on of the pages to create my sentiment, as well as punching 4 circles to create my shabby flower. You've Got Mail- Gone Askew!

Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Challenge this week is, Gone Askew. The challenge is so easy! Here is what you do, place your focal image askew on your card. No trying to center it perfectly, just place it askew.

So, for my card today, I decided to pull out one of my Melanie Muenchinger designed GinaK stamp sets, Tech Talk. I've not had a chance to play with this particular set, and I LOVE the laptop image! One of many perks to Melanie's sets, is the numerous stamps in each set, stuffed with so many options! There are endless possibilities! I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored with Copics, W1, W5, C1, C3, BG10. I cut laptop image out and adhered to my green and grey paper. All solid colored designer papers are from Pink Paislee's Bayberry Cottage. The patterned designer paper is from October Afternoon's Report Card. Here is the completed inside of the accordion gift card holder I made for Sharon Johnson's Friday's Stamp Simply Challenge. HERE is that post! Each pocket has a removable piece. The first will be used to attach a gift card. (I have included glue dots for my friend to use) The second pocket is for a special written message, to and from, etc. And the third pocket will house a flat piece of yummy chocolate! A close of my stamped image. A simply Thank You on coordinating cardstock works well! Various pearls, buttons, punches create all the embellishments. Pretty easy! The gorgeous ribbon is from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. It is 1" wide pink satin ribbon. And here is the JustRite set I took my stamped image from, Just A Note. Year End Teacher Treats! Stamp Simply Style!

This week's Stamp Simply #134 Challenge is to make a GRADUATION card. Not everyone will have the need for graduation cards, so the ALTERNATE challenge is to make something that can be used for the end of the school year -- a note of thanks, treat for teacher or even treats for the kids on the last day of school. NO students or teachers in your life? Create a card of congratulations, well wishes to someone ending or entering a new phase of their life, a new job, retirement, a move, you get the idea! Easy and FUN! Now, that is why I love Stamp Simply challenges so much!

Yesterday, I shared this Teacher Treats Bag! I was leading into today's Stamp Simply Challenge! What's in the bag, you ask? Stamp Simply style contents, of course! I turned the stationary box around in the bag, so the box bottom is revealed, just a better pic that way! And take a look at that GORGEOUS velvet polka dot sheer ribbon! Love that it is polka dotted to coordinate with the bag, but it's sheerness doesn't overwhelm the gift package! The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store is having a SHEER ribbon sale through today, April 9. I spied this teacher stationary set at my local Dollar Tree. The polka dot edging caught my eye, since I had just placed the gift bag in my cart! I removed the cello packaging, folded the sheets in half and created a box to house the set. Box bottom paper is Papertreyink. Instructions for box creating can be found HERE! So we went from this stationary set to THIS! Love the Spellbinders Labels 8, #4, #5, & #6 dies. The school days pic is from October Afternoon's Report Card paper pad. How perfect is this image? The belly band paper is from the same paper pad. October Afternoon Report Card paper can be purchased at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. It was a very good day at The Dollar Tree. Can you believe these socks? I'd never heard of planetsox, but googled, and they list many retailers that carry their socks! These particular socks were two different socks creating one pair! What? I think that's why they were at The Dollar Tree! However, why not purchase two sets, take them apart, match up the socks, so we have THIS. Two matching pairs of teacher socks! They are such nice quality and soft. This adorable letter paper can also be found in the October Afternoon Report Card paper pad at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. I adhered the letter strip with scor tape onto the black cardstock to make a band. Then it occurred to me that these would be wonderful book marks. So, I added red 1/8" silk ribbon on one end, wrapped it around the paper strip, and tied a bow, so it can easily be removed! I tell ya, I don't think I could live without that 1/8" silk ribbon now, I used it to tie on the bag buttons, hold the bag tag, and tie the sock bands! So, now you know what's in the Teacher Treats bag! We hope this week's challenge will inspire you to get busy on those year end school creations! Welcome to the March Stamp Simply Ribbon Store BLOG HOP! Today's blog hop challenge was to create a 3D item. I chose to create more flower goodness with various ribbons found at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!

I placed them in a repurposed prima flower bucket to give away to one lucky blog reader who comments on one of the designers blogs. You will also win a bountiful supply of ribbons from the store too! BLOG CANDY INFO HERE! Patterned paper on the bucket is from October Afternoon's Road Trip paper pad, white is SU.

Here are the flowers that are contained in the bucket. A nice variety of colors and sizes!

I have taken a few individual pics of my favorites. This flower is made with ruffled 3/8" suede ribbon with a suede leaf! LOVE this one!

The 1 1/2" striped ribbon folded in half creates this beauty! A button center tied with striped 3/8" ribbon finishes the look nicely!

1 1/2" gingham ribbon folded in half and gathered is what I used here. A small button with 3/8" matching gingham for the center along with 5/8" twill for leaves is creates the perfect touch!

And probably my most favorite of all! 1 1/4"inch silk ribbon with a suede leaf! So pretty!

I can't wait to see what the incredibly talented designers on the team have been up to, take a look!
