JustRite March Release, Day One

Greetings!  Happy Sunday to you!  Today begins JustRite Papercraft March Release!  And, we are beginning this release with great news!  We're happy to announce a talented new designer to our JustRite Team! That's right, please join me in welcoming Margie Higuchi
Be sure to leave some love on her BLOG!  Welcome Margie, I am thrilled to be working with you!

How about a spring watering can to begin JustRite's March Release?  I found this wonderful water can template on the Splitcoaststampers site HERE.  There are tons of tutorials with lots of great ideas.  I traced the pattern onto my designer paper and cut out.  The tutorial gives step by step directions and was quite easy! To hold all seams and can components together, I used ScorTape.  I love the dependability of this adhesive tape and you can find it HERE at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!

Winged Vintage Labels Two & Three is a JustRite Clear Stamp Set featuring 29 stamps! It is designed by Amy Tedder of Amy Tedder Designs! I stamped my label sentiment with ClearSnap ColorBox Moss Green Pigment ink. I then the cut the label out using JustRite Custom Spellbinders Vintage Labels Three.  The label edges were shaded using a sponge dauber found HERE

For the butterfly image I used a Faber Castell Marker to color my stamp before stamping onto my cardstock.  I then went over the stamped image lightly with a wet paintbrush.  After it was dry, which did not take long as I used the water sparingly, it was time to try out my new Faber Castell Gelato stick.  It is smooth as butter and was so easy to glide onto my butterfly image! I also used my wet paintbrush to spread the Gelato color a bit! Faber Castell store is HERE.

JustRite's Winged Vintage Labels Two & Three coordinates with Spellbinders Wonderful Wings Die Set.  It is found HERE in the JustRite Store.  Winged Vintage Labels Two & Three also coordinates with JustRite Custom Spellbinder Die Sets, Vintage Labels Two HERE and Vintage Labels Three found HERE!  As you can see, I added a flower stem after gluing a small piece of florist foam to the inside bottom of the can.  Seam binding HERE and adhesive rhinestones HERE finish the embellishing nicely!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I've not been blogging much lately and I apologize for that! But I do have a good reason, our youngest daughter is getting married next month!  So much to do with such little time!  Here is a pic of her and fiancĂ©!  Thanks for indulging this Momma and allowing me to share! Take good care, and I will see you tomorrow for JustRite Release Day Two!

Happy Easter!

Welcome to JustRite's last day of their 2013 CHA Release! We hope you have enjoyed the past two weeks of JustRite designers sharing their CHA release creations! It has been a fun release for sure!

How about a couple carrot treat holders for Easter? With JustRite's Floral Flourishes  Background stamp, I stamped two shades of orange ink on orange cardstock before cutting with Spellbinders Pennant Dies.  I measured in on the top on each pennant side 1/4" then proceeded to score each from the pennant point to the measured mark I made pennant top. When assembling, at the pennant point the cropped flaps overlap widening to a light overlap of flaps to the top of the pennants.

The pennants were adhered together with scor tape!  I then pinched the pennant points and trimmed to give a straight line! Floral Flourishes is a deeply etched red rubber stamp measuring 41/2" x 5 3/4" in size.

The final CHA set is JustRite's All in the Family Large Sentiments!  I stamped my Easter sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black before punching with my circle punch. I used a tiny clothespin to attach the sentiment!  The treat is in a clear bag, tied with burlap string, and embellished with Satin leaf trim & striped ribbon.

Here is more inspiration for you from the following designers! Enjoy & take good care!

These girls make my heart smile!

Welcome to JustRite Release Day Three! It's also JustRite's Friday Challenge!  Since the challenge is to create a 3D creation, how about an altered frame using JustRite new release sets! The two girls are my granddaughters and the setting is church at Easter trying out the piano! I could not resist snapping several pictures of them! I must say they are a-dor-a-ble!
After removing the mat, I stamped it with JustRite's new Heart Scroll background stamp with Tim Holtz Old Paper Distress ink, first along the horizontal portion then proceeding to the vertical portions of the mat. I glued trim to the inner edge of the picture opening! LOVE this trim and you can find it HERE at The Stampm Simply RIBBON Store!

Here is a closer look at the trim and ribbon embellishment! The small Webster's Pages bird has be weathered a little by applying white acrylic paint on it. Small prima rose and more trim compliment the gorgeous pink silk ribbon bow!  Love the subtle mat stamping! I also applied Kaiser adhesive pearls in each corner!

Using the far right edge stamp, stamped with Tim Holtz Tattered Rose Ink gives another bit of side framing for the pictures. Just look at all the die goodness in Justrite's new Classic Art Deco Borders Set. Spellbinders Die Templates E8-007 Edges One coordinate with this set perfectly! Yes, it's a good day and I thank you for stopping by! I am posting the original pics at the end of this post used in today's frame project as they did not show well in the framed project!  Enjoy your day and see you tomorrow with a very special Stamp Simply RIBBON challenge creation!  Oh yea, Baby! (that's a clue!)

Pictures are worth a thousand words!

Our Easter weekend was full of precious memories! I took lots of pictures and wanted to share a few with you! Today I have random shots of our grandchildren! Here we have BFF cousins playing the church piano. They are consulting one another at this point! I have a series of them at the piano! Priceless! They are wearing the Easter dresses and coats Grandma bought them! (I made the silk bows in their hair!)

Here is our oldest grand baby with his sister!  He is now three years old and is the best big brother! Especially when he wants to get his sister to play along with him! Here they are walking away from the group while waiting for the egg hunt to begin!

Come along sister, while I have a look back to see if they notice what we're doing!  LOVE this!  I cannot believe they are this big already.
I just cannot get enough of these precious Easter coats! This little one is getting ready for the egg hunt!

Here is sweet Emma checking out the altar flowers!  Her Easter coat is replaced with a sweet sweater because the dress is sleeveless! A better picture of the bow in her hair!  lol
Outside at church waiting for the eggs! Her Easter basket matches her outfit...that just happened!  Love it when a fashion statement all comes together!

I know I have to stay on this side of the tape.  Momma said so.
How did that happen? The tape moved! It's a good thing this boy is the cutest ever!

Oh Grandma, enough pictures already!  How many more are you going to take? It's true, I took about 90 pictures!  I have more to share but will not bore you any longer on this day, maybe tomorrow! lol Thanks for visiting!  I hope your Easter was filled with the love that comes from our Risen Savior!

Ribbon Inspiration, Stamp Simply Style-Spring Wishes!

Bunny Folded Dinner Napkins-front view
It's that time again for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Inspiration! This week, Sharon is thinking spring! And what hops right along into spring time? Well, of course, bunnies do!  I first saw a folded dinner napkin bunny on Pinterest which had been originally pinned from Martha Stewart's site. Frankly, I could not follow Martha's instructions very well, but read one of the comments that suggested watching a you tube video that demonstrated clearer bunny napkin directions. I googled and found one! Boy, it was so much easier!

Bunny Folded Dinner Napkins-back view
Here a darling back view!  I added 1.25"silk ribbon of course and a stamped tag! After the folding was complete, I used a rubber band to hold together but not a tight rubber band! When I make more, I will just tie the ribbon to hold the folding together.  For the tag I stamped a sentiment from Spring Words, a new JustRite clear stamp set.  I used Memento Rich Cocoa ink, cut with a Spellbinders Oval die, and also rubbed ink on the tag front before adding that ringlet trim!  Are these just the cutest?  I love this kind of crafting! To use the dinner napkin, one will just untie that beautiful silk ribbon, unfold the napkin, and place on their lap!

Jesus, the Great I AM...JustRite Easter Blessings

Easter Blessings Bible Card
Good Morning! How are you today?  I hope this week has been a good one for you so far. JustRite is featuring Easter Blessings today and I have a card to share! The card is an attempt to create an open Bible look. I need to share that fact, because I'm not certain one could tell without that helpful tidbit of information! Just sayin! In my mind I had the vision, but the entire vision didn't make it to the card! Ever have days like that? The Velvet Ribbon, White Metallic String, Memento Ink, and Adhesive Black Pearls are found at The Stamp Simply Store. Rhinestone Swirls are from Zva Creative and the little cross is a jewelry charm from Michaels.

JustRite's Easter Blessings is a Clear Stamp Set featuring 11 stamps. The stamps are designed to coordinate with JustRite's Nested Spellbinders Oval Medallions Label Dies! All card stock is PapertreyInk, all stamping uses Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and images colored with Copic Markers. The pages on the card were cut using Spellbinders Labels Seventeen Die #6. After cutting I scored and bent each side slightly to try and get a lifted page look.

Copic Colored Easter Blessing's Card Image
Copic colors used are: N0, N1, BG10, BG13, R39, YR23, 0/colorless blender. The image was stamped twice. After coloring the stem and leaves on one, I trimmed out image. On the second image I colored the flower petals only and cut out to place upon the first cut out.  Jesus tag was cut out using a SU Label Punch. The "Bible pages" were stamped with two of the word stamps with Tim Holtz Old Paper Distress Ink.

Have a terrific Tuesday, thanks so much for stopping by! Tomorrow's blog post will feature one more home decor canvas! See you then!

Spring Words Egg Holders-JustRite Style!

Easter Blessings Egg Holder
Today we are featuring JustRite's Spring Words and Classic Scallop Borders One Sets from JustRite's CHA #2 collection! I stamped the border onto PapertreyInk Vintage Cream Cardstock. After trimming border, I brought ends together, forming a circle, and used scor tape where the scallops met to hold in place. Presto! Perfect size for an egg holder! Who knew! Love the simplicity of this, fast, quick, and fun!

Three Scallop Border Egg Holders
Here are three of the five egg holders and embellished eggs I made for this round!  I plan on making more! The plastic eggs were purchased at JoAnn Fabrics.

Classic Scallop Borders One features three stamps and I used the image on the far left for my stamping. Any of the borders would do the job for creating these egg holders. The borders coordinate with Spellbinders E8-001 Edgeabilities Classic Scallop Dies.

Single Egg Holder
Here you can see the detail on the egg holder.  I dry embossed the bottom dots and edged with Tim Holtz Old Paper Distress Ink.  The top scallops are edged with Martha Stewart Glitter. I wrapped white twine string to give the impression of a nest before placing the egg in the holder!

Set of Lacey Border Egg Holders
Another close up of two of the eggs and holders!  Each egg has trim glued around the egg which allows a spot to adhere the ribbon embellishments.  Wrinkle Ribbons, adhesive pearls, trims, twine, and white metallic string are from The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store

I hope this simple, doable, and fun idea inspires you to start thinking Easter Eggs!  Wait till you see what the following designer's have been up to! Take good care and make it a wonderful Wednesday!

Life is like a Butterfly...

Welcome to JustRite's kick off of May release sets! Be prepared to wowed by the incredible designer's creations starting today & week days through May 11, each day beginning at 9am central.

I chose to create a card today, but a different size than I normally work with! Why? It all started when I was cleaning and came across business size envelopes that I had purchased way back, don't even remember when! My card measures four by nine inches. I so love the idea and vision surrounding this card, but couldn't put my finger on why I didn't like it when finished. I think I know after staring at it for awhile. The tulip stem is too narrow and throws the balance way off. But of course I had it all assembled after the light bulb moment! When I run another piece of ricrac to make a wider stem, I think that will help!

BUTTERFLY GARDEN is our featured JustRite set today! It is a JustRite Original set containing 4 Designer Centers along with 4 interchangeable Borders. These stamps fits our 3-1/4” Stamper. Wait till you see all the creations made by our talented designers with this set! Let's start from the bottom and move on up! These suede leave were simply scrunched and machine stitched as I went across the panel's width. I then trimmed bottom to a straight edge. For the Tulip I cut three #2 dies from my Spellbinders Mega Large Oval set. And the stamens are two head pins dipped in glue and coarse glitter! Found my bead making supplies as well when cleaning! LOL! This is the envelope I was speaking about! I used the same butterfly punch and punched three on the back side of the envie! Then I taped a piece of the K&Co Spring Blossoms designer paper inside to have it peek through! I also lightly glued the edges of the butterflies so they would not get caught and rip. Check out JustRite's MAY sale! 20% off Nested Frames and Sentiments and the Clear Horizontal Stamper Set, until May 31. Thanks so much stopping by today! Hope the sun is shining where you are! Here is the list of oh so talented designers sharing today!

Easter Blessings! Ferrero Rocher Chocolates! Crepe Paper! Oh My!

Good Wednesday Morning! How have you been? I hope as you are proceeding through Holy week you feel the strength and peace that only comes from the Holy ONE! Life is busy, I have been working but on things that have been such a whirlwind I have not been on the computer for over a week! I created a baby gift for one of my daughter's coworkers, our own daughter's birthday is today, working on tags for my other daughter's work related Easter thank-you favors, and phew, my husband retires exactly one month from today! Favors, table decor, some wall items all need to be completed! I keep thinking of that little train engine, you know the one, I think I can, I think I can! I know I can! Wish me luck, (I need plenty of it!) Today I did squeeze in an Easter gift I am taking to my sick friend who is battling cancer. They have now diagnosed congestive heart failure due to complications with drugs. Please pray. I want to talk about the crepe paper used for the flower and tails. Years ago, and I mean many, many years ago, I used to play with crepe paper! I made tissue flowers, bows, twisted and taped it, decorated and loved it all. But through the years I've been disappointed with the quality of the crepe paper streamers and papers out there. They lack body to twist, do not hold any form, and just frustrating to use. But hold on, the crepe paper from The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store I used on this project is super, just like I remembered. I used my new LaBlanche stamp! Have you tried LaBlanche stamps yet? I wanted to show you how cool they are! Here is how they are packaged, and I was so curious about all the white? It is a dense softer foam base that is so gentle to use! Can I say WONDERFUL! Here is the actual stamp on the underside. The details on these stamps are incredible. The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store is carrying them and I can't wait to get my hands on more! I used Memento Rich Cocoa ink and added touches of color with Copic Markers. I have to scoot! But I'll be back to talk about the crepe paper flower, tails and how I ruffled the edges on the crepe paper used on the chocolate container. Have a blessed day!
All product supplies for today's project are found at The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store!
