Sour Cream Treat Containers!

Need a quick treat container?  How about a table place setting surprise?  Write your guests names on the container tags so they can find their own seat at the table!  However you choose to use these nifty paper creations, the recipients will surely know they are special!  I created three samples for you today!  Lets get started!

I chose Kaisercraft's Holly Bright 6 1/2" paper pad for all the sour cream containers.  I trimmed each sheet down to a 5" x 5" square and placed a line of ScorTape along the left paper edge. I lined up the left paper edge to the right paper edge, pressing to secure adhesive, but not creasing the paper. 

I placed the seam line down the middle of the container as shown in the above photo.  Now to secure the ends! Placing ScorTape inside the inner paper edge does the trick.  Be sure to wait until you have added the container's contents before sealing the other end!  Ask me how I know!

Remember the Paper Crimper?  I have not used this tool in ages! I love the texture it gives as well as reinforcing a strong hold on the ScorTape.  Voila' container complete! It's really that simple. Now on to container embellishing! Kaisercraft paper pads give coordinating punch out pages and I utilized them for the tags attached to the sour cream containers. A bit of trim, ribbons, sugar dots, and string and there we have it!The acorn container paper is one of the paper pad's speciality sheets, the acorn image is a raised embossed design and is so much prettier than in the photo! Love Kaisercraft's Holly Bright Paper Pad for this type of project.  I had to look no further for special paper and tags!

JustRite Papercraft Day Four Coffee & Friends Background Cling Stamp

Good Thursday Morning to you!  Here we are, JustRite Papercraft's November Release, Day Four!  Today we are previewing a new background stamp, Coffee & Friends!

Every holiday I visit a local nut and coffee house store, well, truth be known, I visit there all year long!  They package their fabulous coffees in one pot measurements, and during the holiday season, my favorite is called Holiday Cheer.  It's a given if you are gifted a plate of holiday goodies from our family, it will have a package of this particular coffee attached somehow!  I have always wanted to come up with a better presentation when gifting!  And now I have one using this awesome Coffee & Friends Background Stamp!  Let's get started!

Coffee & Friends is a background cling stamp made of deeply etched red rubber and clings to any acrylic block. Coffee & Friends is designed by Amy Tedder. I stamped it twice, once with Memento Rich Cocoa ink on cream card stock and once with Memento Potter's Clay ink.

The cocoa brown stamped image is cut using a Spellbinders Grand Large Label Die and is scored at the side ticket corner point. (shown in above photo) The day I worked on this project I happened to run a couple errands and grabbed a coffee!  As it was sitting on my desk upon returning home, I thought why not take that sleeve and add it to the mix!  I will be doing this again!  LOVE it! I then trimmed out the Potter's Clay Rooster to use atop the recycled coffee sleeve!  He also received some shadowing with a sponge dauber and old paper ink. The comb atop the rooster's head also was colored with my Tim Holtz Festive Berries marker.

A line of ScorTape is placed behind the scored edge to hold the bottom of the coffee package.  ScorTape is also applied to secure the coffee sleeve.  Embellishing details include, a bow tied with gold metallic string and a die cut tag to write recipient's name on!  That Coffee Bean printed ribbon is perfect, no?

JustRite Papercraft Haberdashery Vintage Labels Five Clear Stamps, Day TWO

WELCOME to Day TWO of JustRite Papercraft's November Release! I am over the moon with today's project, I hope you like it! I saw this idea last year and LOVED it!  However I didn't get a chance to create it, until this week!  HERE is the original idea with a tutorial.  It was much easier than I anticipated!  I tweaked it to my needs by adding the stamped images, which creates more of that personal touch that I love!   

Here is a side by side pic, to give an idea of the size of finished suit coat covered candy bar when using a King Size bar. I purchased mine at Target.  You can use any size candy bar using the simple measuring instructions from the tutorial.   

Here is today's release set, Haberdashery Vintage Labels Five.  Is this set perfect for the men in our lives or what?  Haberdashery Vintage Labels Five contains 16 clear stamps and is designed by Amy Tedder. 

Graphic45 Designer Paper works perfectly for this type of jacket, as it has a design on both sides of the pages.  Thus the cool striped lapels!  I had a scrap of a swiss dot dry embossed paper for the shirt!  The stamped hand trimmed bow tie is perfect, no?  The Dad tag and Happy Father's Day tag adds the finishing touch! The grey was added with a sponge dauber before the die was removed.

JustRite Papercraft Special Delivery Clear Stamp Set

We have a birthday girl this week and she just turned ONE!  Cannot believe it!  Today is DAY FIVE of JustRite Papercraft's October Release!  It's a special birthday and a special set, Special Delivery!  Let's get started!

As you can see, Special Delivery is not only for the birth of a special one, but it includes a baptism, adoption, and general love sentiments too! While I will be using this set for new baby creations, I chose to go the baby birthday route today!  Special Delivery features 24 clear stamps and is designed by Amy Tedder!

I made a gift card to accompany the little hat utilizing JustRite custom Spellbinder Vintage Labels Five Dies.  The dies are a new set this week too!

I added a special stamped tag to the hat bloom embellishment!  This little one is definitely wrapped in LOVE!  I used a good ole' needle and thread to gather the base sequin trim and the yellow lace trim!  Pretty easy and they're attached to the cone using Aleene's Tacky Glue!

I love this Girl Land kit and it has provided supplies for many, many creations!  LOVE the paper design!  Mine is from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!  Webster's Pages paper quality is super and perfect for a party hat! They are two sided, so you get designs on both sides!  

ALL the trims are found right on this embellishment card that coordinates with Girl Land product!  It is found HERE. So fun to have all the necessary coordinated goods to create with!

JustRite Papercraft Sunflowers Vintage Labels Five Cling StampSet

How about a gift bag to kick off JustRite Papercraft's October Release?  JustRite is releasing two new stamp sets and a coordinating Spellbinders Die Set and I utilized all on today's creation.

I am using a new to me product today with this new set, Sunflowers Vintage Labels Five!  It's adhesive canvas, it comes in various sizes and I purchased mine at Michaels.  I stamped on the canvas with StazOn ink and heat set it before using my Faber-Castell Gelatos to color the image.  

Here is a look at the total new die set, Vintage Labels Five being released today!  I used the two largest size on my project.  I them shaded the edges with metallic copper ink.  The bag itself has a slight metallic sheen to it, so perfect!

A close up reveals more of the canvas texture of the sunflower!  I rubbed a bit of Faber-Castell Gelatos onto a plastic sheet, added a spritz of water, mixed with my brush, then applied the color to the stamped image.  I used enough water to make a wash of color!  EASY!  After I achieved the color I wanted, I spritzed the entire image and it blended the colors even more!  After it was dry, I cut image out.  I peeled off the backing to stick to my background!  The backing will now become a perfect mask for future use!

This fabulous new background stamp is the Moroccan Lattice Stamp.  It is made of deeply etched red rubber, measures 4 1/2" x 5 3/4" and mounts onto any acrylic block!  I stamped mine today with VersaMark Watermark Ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  It was then cut using A2 Matting Basics A die. It is Scor Tape adhered to the bag, with the die cut frame attached using foam squares. A few micro beads are applied with SU Crystal Effects to the flower center and a 1.5" Wrinkle Ribbon bow to the bag handle!  Voila' All set for gift giving!

It's that Witch HAT time of year! In new packaging!

One of my seasonal sweet creations, Witch Hat Cookies!  I started making these many years ago when my girls were little!  I first saw the idea, I believe in Family Fun Magazine.  There are two previous posts HERE and HERE where I made hat cookies!  Be sure to check out the packaging!  

Some helpful hints for you, placing the icing on the Hershey Kiss as shown above will help limit the amount of icing that is pushed through the cookie center hole.  Personally, I prefer the Betty Crocker Icing as opposed to Wilton brand.  The Wilton brand has a more oil/water consistency to it.  Betty Crocker is more like a frosting consistency.  However, both will work!

For one package of Keebler Fudge Stripes which contain approximately 24 cookies, you will use one half of a 12 ounce package of Hershey Chocolate candy and one tube of orange icing.  Let the cookies set up for a couple hours before packaging. 

OH MY, when I first saw this stamp set, I let out a bit of a whoop!  Through the years and still to this day, I so enjoy making food type projects as gifts for friends and loved ones.  Baking Antique Tags One contains 10 clear stamps and is compatible custom JustRite Antique Tags One Dies.  Mason jars are so popular right now, but I have enjoyed using them for years!  

The jar image is stamped twice, once with VersaFine Black Onyx and once with Smokey Gray.  With a craft x-acto knife, I trimmed out the jar label area to allow a clear acetate panel.  I cut the lid from the gray stamped image and layered atop the black stamped jar.  The lid looks more realistic in gray, no? The sentiment is also stamped with black ink.  The jar contents are stamped with images from Samantha Walker's Boo-tiful Cameos JustRite Stamp Set.   

All the lovely string & ribbons are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!  The links are below in the product list.  That wonderful purple net ribbon comes in more colors too! This is a large Ball mason jar measuring 10 inches in height and easily hold all 24 cookies!  When I first started placing the cookies inside the jar, I did so using cooking tongs.  So much easier that getting my hand stuck!

Voila' a perfect container and tag for those traditional witch hat cookies!  I have a couple more mason jar goodies I will be sharing during the next week or so!  I hope this will inspire you to start planning and creating!  Take Good Care!

Burlap Ribbon Tree and Card! Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Style!

WELCOME Wednesday!  It sure doesn't feel like Wednesday, but Wednesday it is and it is my day to share a creation for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!  I chose to cover this 12" tall styrofoam cone with 2.5" burlap wired ribbon for fall decor!   So simple, I ever so slightly pleated each row, securing with 1 1/2" pearlized straight pins. The top bow and flower are attached using the straight pins as well. The Prima flower is from their Trinket Melody Collection which I also used on the card pictured below.

The coordinating card measures 3 1/2" x 6" and uses many of the same elements as the tree decor!  The Autumn Labels Twenty Two stamped image is heat embossed with Faber-Castell Gelatos applied.  The paper picks up the color while the embossed areas resist the colors.  VERY easy to apply and rub out!  I love the idea that I have a coordinating card and home decor ready and waiting for a hostess gift!

Bibs, Ribbon, and Buttons...oh my!

It's all about making the bibs pretty with ribbon!  I love how easy using the stretch gathered plaid ribbon is!  No need to create your own gathering, it's done for you!  The stretch is magnificent!  And oh my, wait until you see all the colors it comes in!  HERE is the sampler Sharon has put together that includes all 7 colors.

I added buttons from my stash to the two flowers!  The pink bib also received two suede leaves peeking out from the flower side!  The bibs are from Target.  HERE is where you will find all the delicious colors of this fantastic trim!  Suede Leaves are HERE. Remember these leaves come in multiple colors and are an exceptional value!

Kaisercraft Bundle of Joy Gift! Stamp Simply Style!

A girly Bundle of Joy card and gift are on the agenda today!  I love to coordinate all those Stamp Simply Ribbon Store ribbons & trims to make one of a kind baby gifts!  I've been working on many of these types of items for my granddaughters too!

Talk about the cutest paper pad!  The designer papers used on my card are found in Kaisercraft's Bundle of Joy 6.5" x 6.5" paper pad.  The tag and scallop border are die cuts from this paper pad too.  When I used Kaisercraft's HERE, I shared the following info!  It's definitely worth sharing again. 

• Bundle of Joy paper pad contains twenty-four single-sided 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch designer papers (two each of twelve designs)
• Eight 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch spot varnish papers (two each of four designs)
• Four 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch foil papers (two each of two designs)
• Four 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch die-cut pages

The three stamped sentiments are found in Samantha Walkers JustRite Set, For All You Do Vintage Labels Three. VersaFine Black ink was used for the sentiment stamping and Memento Angel Pink for the decorative stamp.

Here is the sweet little gift I put together!  A simple headband and little white socks embellished with The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store ribbons and trim and look how cute!  All the ribbon flowers and trim were hand sewn.  You could easily use a machine, but I so enjoy hand stitching!  All the ribbons are listed below in the supply list.

Using Clear Boxes to gift creations is one of my favorites ways for presentation of the goods!  It allows all the goodness to be seen!  (Sorry about the hazy glare of the box) I cut a page from the designer paper pad to line the box bottom and another die cut tag from one of the die cut pages works perfectly. I will have a couple more cards using this Bundle of Joy paper coming in a few weeks!
