It's all about the DOILY today for Day TWO of JustRite's August Release! I have two cards to share and have to say, I had a LOT of fun creating these. I hope after you check these out, you will give this technique a try too! I first started with white paper doilies! I then took my Faber-Castell Markers and quickly colored the inner portion of the doily. I then misted water on it before the marker ink dried, that is key. If it dries before you get water on, the ink will not bleed. And that is what we want it to do!
Samantha Walker's Dainty Doilies is a clear set featuring 17 stamps. The combinations of stamp usage are endless! After the water misted doilies were dry I stamped my images. After that step I cut doilies apart and adhered to card stock. I then mod podged the doilies to cardstock.
For this doilie, I cut the entire doilie out once adhered to red card stock and placed it upon another piece of red card stock before adding my ribbon & embellishments! The edges of this doilie is trimmed using a metallic Faber-Castell pen.

Your cards are beautiful, and like several of the others who commented, would love to know how you tied, knotted,... the purple ribbon. It is gorgeous and so soft.
Thanks.
So very beautiful!
