Using my new JustRite Witch Way to the Treats, I selected the darling little ghost center, along with the spooktacular outside ring border. These stamps are a limited edition, once they're gone, the set will not be offered again. Use your 1 3/16" round wooden stamper for these particular stamps. I hope you all got a chance to visit all the inspiring creations during last weeks JustRite BLOG hop! Go take a peek!
I thought I would make a presentation of individual ghosts for each place setting. I started with my Michael's dollar spot napkins. folding striped border edge up 2 1/2 inches. Next, I folded the napkin in half, with the fold on the outside. Taking my handheld punch, two pin holes were created. The stamped border piece was also punched once. The holes look like tiny black dots in the photo. I left off the ghost (top stamped layer) for you to see the punched hole. Placing the decorative straight pin through the stamped piece, I then pushed the pin through the top hole on the napkin, bringing the sharp point up back up through the bottom hole. That way the sharp point is hidden and a pocket is created.
Here are two that are completed. After my cardstock embellishment was on the napkin, I slid a small glassine bag with the ghost cookie on top. You may have noticed the glassine bag was inserted showing the bottom of the bag behind the visible ghost head. I did not want the tape liner to show on the top of the bag, so it's hidden in the bottom of the pocket.
If the treat is not going to be consumed, it has it's ready to seal, (from that sticky strip of tape I placed on top edge) glassine bag and ready to use (additional dimensional placed on back) tag for the ride home! Now, if the treat is eaten, there is a ready made treat bag, complete with tag to take home and utilize! Note: I will place a small fabric stuffed pumpkin on my table so the straight pins can be pushed into. Not that I would not let adult guests take the pins home, I just do not want children to get injured by the sharp points! Not only are these cute, and super easy, they are JustRite for creating a fun and memorable treat!
One more spooky item to show you this week! A dinner item that is quick, yummy, and not sweet at all. This is a new idea for me this year!
Thank you so much for all the well wishes sent my husband's way! He is doing much better and we so appreciate your thoughts and prayers. He is not 100% yet, but so much better! I am thankful for that and for all of you that come to visit here! Take good care!
