My daughter was invited to a co worker's wedding recently and she wanted a special keepsake to gift her friend as she begins married life! I had seen this idea on Pinterest and have been waiting for the opportunity to make an ornament such as this. Here is my version!
Christine and Robert's invitation was perfect for this creation! (ornament purchased at Michaels) The invitation was a pocket with an oval opening that revealed the bride and grooms name. Pulling the page out of the pocket revealed invite details. I wanted to give the same sort of tag to resemble the cutout on the pocket. The remainder of the invite details is cut into strips and placed inside the ornament after carefully removing the ornament top!

I stamped the Christmas sentiment and oval tag border with stamps from JustRite's Christmas Trimming Set. I just went over to the Stamp Simply RIBBON Store to link and saw it is on sale! The tag edge was stamped with cream ink & sprinkled with dazzling diamonds glitter. After assembling the tags, you can see I adhered my very favorite trim ever around the edges! This 1/4" Ringlet Trim is the best, I love how it adds texture, creates a beautiful finished look, and is so easy to use! There is nothing like it! (It comes in various colors too!) The 1" ivory ribbon is stitched satin and is found HERE. The black ribbon is the actual ribbon that was attached to the invite!
There you have it! Hopefully a wedding keepsake that will be treasured for years to come! Take care and be sure to check out the following designer's blogs to see all the goodness they have to share!
