Recipe Cards with a TWIST!

Our Stamp Simply Friday Challenge, is to make a card (for a recipe if you like, but it need NOT be a true recipe card) that has some tabbed element on it to give you that impression of a traditional recipe card in a box. For my recipe card like creation, I chose to use unruled index cards. I embossed one with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, folded down the top edge, used scor tape on the sides and bottom to adhere to a plain card, creating a pocket. The pocket will be used to store mini envelopes. For the decorative paper on the cards, I utilized my Webster Petite Papers, the collection combo pack of Postcards from Paris & Sweet as Cherry Pie. Tabs were cut using my SU label punch and stapled on the top of back index card. The decorative paper strips of paper were attached with scor tape.
Here are three more, the Webster pages are double sided, so I had lots of coordinating possibilities. It was also fun using various brads, I have not had those out in a while!
Here is a peek of the mini envelopes, I mentioned. I will be placing items in the envelopes to store in my recipe/index pockets. Then I created a holder for all the pockets! But I can't show you that yet! It will be revealed in it's entirety at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store BLOG HOP on Tuesday, February, 23! Hope you can come back and take a peek! The possibilities are endless for recipe/index card usage! Let's see what you create! If you upload to Splitcoaststampers, please use keyword, ssnotime127. And be sure to upload with Mr Linky over on Sharon's BLOG! Check out what the talented designers of the Stamp Simply Challenge Team has created this week!
