Happy Halloween Witch Hat, JustRite!

Good Monday Morning to you! For my second witch hat I chose to embellish it with a stamped image from JustRite's final July release set, Happy Halloween! (the first hat is HERE) Wait till you see what the designers are making with this set!

Happy Halloween is a 2" round JustRite Original Set featuring 6 centers and borders that are interchangeable. The remaining images can't wait to get stamped and colored!

Here's a closeup of stamped image. The hat is stamped onto grey cardstock and colored with gray Copic markers. It is then trimmed out and popped up using foam dimensionals. Dazzling glitter for the hat buckle, ghost, and border adds a bit more fun!

To create the with hat, cut three pennants using Spellbinders Pennants die, (the largest pennant is used). Click on photos to enlarge and see detail.

Cut the hat bottom using the largest Lacey Circle Spellbinders die. I also used a smaller Lacey circle to frame the stamped image hanging from the hat.

The first pennant shows the markings & scor lines. The marking are 1/4" in from the outer edges. The middle pennant shows the cut away corners that overlapped from the scoring lines. The far right pennant reveals trimming of the points, I did not measure this, I just eyed it, it will not show in the final creation, so it's all good. Less fuss too!

Here are all three pennants marked, scored, corners trimmed. One pennant receives no tape, one pennant receives one side edge taped, and the third pennant has both side edges taped.

• Peel tape & press side edges together inward.
• What we see is the seam where the two sides meet on the outside.
• At this time, start working the cardstock, rounding each side. Because the hat base is round, and my hat is three sided I want to get the hat as circular as I can without creasing the cardstock. Again, I'm not going to fuss too much because my ribbon is going to cover where the hat and base meet.
• As you work the hat you will notice where the seams meet creates a point that needs to be trimmed as shown above.
• I trimmed one point and used that piece to trim the other two points. Less fuss, as I know the ribbon will cover any imperfections.
• Scor tape is applied to the tabs that are left on each side. Peel tape backing and attach hat to base.

I used sheer tinsel ribbon, ran a stitch down the center to gather. I proceeded with 1/4" scor tape, applying it to the seam, then pressed the gathered ribbon to attach. Trick or Treat, JustRite Style!

JustRite's release set for today is a Halloween Trick or Treat Set! It's the time of year when the images and colors of the season are so vibrant and I love it! For my creation today I made a witch's hat and added embellishments that include a terrific image of a pumpkin with a witch hat! Hence the idea to make a witches hat! Such a cool set with so many options! Trick or Treat is an oval set that contains 4 centers and 4 borders, all interchangeable! I'll have another hat to share on Monday with the how to make! It really was quite simple! Closeup of the Copic colored image! All colors are listed below. The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It copic cardstock, have any of you tried this cardstock? I really like it, it seems I can blend better on this paper. The cute sentiment is from JustRite's new Halloween Mini Sentiment Set! Oh my, a must have in the sentiment department! LOL It is die cut using a die from Spellbinders Scalloped Pennant set. Just look at all the varied sentiments and fonts! Surely to please everyone on your Halloween list this year!

Spread Your Wings!

Good Morning! Today JustRite Stampers is featuring a new cling stamp set, Spread Your Wings! So I decided to utilize one of those 69 cent Michaels birdhouses I bought a while back! Prima Reflections designer paper is used on this creation! JustRite's Spread Your Wings contains 15 deeply etched red rubber cling stamps. They are mounted on static cling foam and cling to any acrylic block. I utilized three of the set's stamps for my creation today!The butterfly on the bow is actually the bottom part of the stamped cage stand! It is embellished with adhesive pearls and attached with Aleene's Tacky glue. All the paper is attached with the same glue, then edges sanded.

The blue ribbon is some I had in my ribbon stash, sorry I do not know where it came from! All other string and ribbon is from The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store. You will love the inspiration today, brought to you by some of JustRite's talented designers! Take good care and enjoy your day!

A Stamp Simply PRIMA Hop!

Welcome to The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Hop with Prima! We are featuring creations using Prima products today! Just take a look at all the PRIMA-licious beauty in this photo! This Prima package is today's BLOG Candy waiting to won! Check all the blog candy details on SHARON'S BLOG HERE.

There are gorgeous PRIMA products found in The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store. My creation today features designer paper utilizing Prima's Reflections. The 6x6 paper pad includes 48 sheets of paper sporting 2 of each design.

I started with a wooden bird house from Michaels that was on sale for 69 cents! Michaels had several different shaped houses and I thought how perfect to cover with some favorite designer papers! And that is exactly what I did! I adhered the paper to the wood with Aleene's Tacky Glue and used an emery board to sand the edges and add scuff markings. The flower is from the Reflections Trinket Collection Flowers by Prima. The 1/8" Velvet Ribbon comes in ten colors and can be purchased in 5 yard bundles or by the spool. I used the 1/8" Brown Velvet Ribbon on my flower embellishment.

And you know how I love the Burlap String found in The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store! The string comes in 12 colors and can be purchased in 10 yard bundles or by the spool! Not only did I use the string to frame my flower embellishment, I also created a little nest too! Isn't it cute?

A slightly different angle of the birdhouse! I'm looking forward to covering the other two houses I bought! What an inexpensive delightful gift that will certainly satisfy the bird lovers in your life!
