How about a gift bag to kick off JustRite Papercraft's October Release?  JustRite is releasing two new stamp sets and a coordinating Spellbinders Die Set and I utilized all on today's creation.

I am using a new to me product today with this new set, Sunflowers Vintage Labels Five!  It's adhesive canvas, it comes in various sizes and I purchased mine at Michaels.  I stamped on the canvas with StazOn ink and heat set it before using my Faber-Castell Gelatos to color the image.  

Here is a look at the total new die set, Vintage Labels Five being released today!  I used the two largest size on my project.  I them shaded the edges with metallic copper ink.  The bag itself has a slight metallic sheen to it, so perfect!

A close up reveals more of the canvas texture of the sunflower!  I rubbed a bit of Faber-Castell Gelatos onto a plastic sheet, added a spritz of water, mixed with my brush, then applied the color to the stamped image.  I used enough water to make a wash of color!  EASY!  After I achieved the color I wanted, I spritzed the entire image and it blended the colors even more!  After it was dry, I cut image out.  I peeled off the backing to stick to my background!  The backing will now become a perfect mask for future use!

This fabulous new background stamp is the Moroccan Lattice Stamp.  It is made of deeply etched red rubber, measures 4 1/2" x 5 3/4" and mounts onto any acrylic block!  I stamped mine today with VersaMark Watermark Ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  It was then cut using A2 Matting Basics A die. It is Scor Tape adhered to the bag, with the die cut frame attached using foam squares. A few micro beads are applied with SU Crystal Effects to the flower center and a 1.5" Wrinkle Ribbon bow to the bag handle!  Voila' All set for gift giving!

How about a standard 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" card today!  Using Samantha Walker Stamps and Dies make for a great design, no?  I admit I'm drawn to her stamps, LOVE them, in fact! And this color combo is one of my favorites too!  While I had the white ink out, I used a sponge dauber to add white to the largest die cut, so just the embossed areas caught the ink!  All in all, the card is pretty easy and fast!  You can find all items used in the product listing at the end of this post!

It's that Witch HAT time of year! In new packaging!

One of my seasonal sweet creations, Witch Hat Cookies!  I started making these many years ago when my girls were little!  I first saw the idea, I believe in Family Fun Magazine.  There are two previous posts HERE and HERE where I made hat cookies!  Be sure to check out the packaging!  

Some helpful hints for you, placing the icing on the Hershey Kiss as shown above will help limit the amount of icing that is pushed through the cookie center hole.  Personally, I prefer the Betty Crocker Icing as opposed to Wilton brand.  The Wilton brand has a more oil/water consistency to it.  Betty Crocker is more like a frosting consistency.  However, both will work!

For one package of Keebler Fudge Stripes which contain approximately 24 cookies, you will use one half of a 12 ounce package of Hershey Chocolate candy and one tube of orange icing.  Let the cookies set up for a couple hours before packaging. 

OH MY, when I first saw this stamp set, I let out a bit of a whoop!  Through the years and still to this day, I so enjoy making food type projects as gifts for friends and loved ones.  Baking Antique Tags One contains 10 clear stamps and is compatible custom JustRite Antique Tags One Dies.  Mason jars are so popular right now, but I have enjoyed using them for years!  

The jar image is stamped twice, once with VersaFine Black Onyx and once with Smokey Gray.  With a craft x-acto knife, I trimmed out the jar label area to allow a clear acetate panel.  I cut the lid from the gray stamped image and layered atop the black stamped jar.  The lid looks more realistic in gray, no? The sentiment is also stamped with black ink.  The jar contents are stamped with images from Samantha Walker's Boo-tiful Cameos JustRite Stamp Set.   

All the lovely string & ribbons are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!  The links are below in the product list.  That wonderful purple net ribbon comes in more colors too! This is a large Ball mason jar measuring 10 inches in height and easily hold all 24 cookies!  When I first started placing the cookies inside the jar, I did so using cooking tongs.  So much easier that getting my hand stuck!

Voila' a perfect container and tag for those traditional witch hat cookies!  I have a couple more mason jar goodies I will be sharing during the next week or so!  I hope this will inspire you to start planning and creating!  Take Good Care!

JustRite Papercraft Frog & Water Lily Clear Stamp Set, JustRite Papercraft Filigree Leaves Background Stamp

Welcome to DAY Seven and the final day of JustRite Papercraft's September Release! I have a special birthday greeting to share today!  The moment I saw Amy Tedder's set, Frog & Water Lily, I knew I would be creating for our grandson!  Let's get started!

What little boy would not love to open a boxed greeting to find a frog & dragon fly?  Copic colored images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  All Copic colors are listed below.  

Here is the Frog & Water Lily Clear Stamp Set, showing all the 10 clear images and sentiments!  Another great set designed by Amy Tedder!  After the images were stamped and colored I fussy cut them out!  I love fussy cutting!    

After heat embossing the box top and bottom, I used a sponge dauber to apply color, rubbing the colors at random.  The heat embossed design resists the ink leaving the color on the rest of the card stock.

Here is Becca Feeken's new background stamp Filigree Leaves Background Cling Stamp!  I stamped and heat embossed it twice, once for the box top and once for box bottom! Here is a break down of how I created this super easy box.

• Trim stamped box top panel to 4 1/2" x 5 3/4" and box bottom to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
• Scor in from all edges at 1 1/8"
• Cut out corner flaps completely for box bottom
• Cut in on the scor lines in the corners of box top, fold and secure with Scor Tape
• Attach stamped images with foam squares to the box bottom only, slightly bending up remaining image to fit the box and allowing them to move
• Cut 2 small slits on box top to allow the threading of cording to be placed through and tied on top
• Attach box top embellishments

JustRite Papercraft The Scoop Vintage Labels Four Clear Stamps

Welcome to Day Five of JustRite's Papercraft September Release!  Today I used one of two sets being featured, The Scoop Vintage Labels Four!  This is a fantastic clear stamp set designed by Amy Tedder! Let's get started!

We have a special birthday soon and I'm making these thank you treats for the guests!  Our youngest granddaughter is going to be one year old!  I remember those penny candy aisles of my youth and yes, with that statement I know I'm revealing my age! Nonetheless, this candy reminds me of one of favorites, a marshmallow ice cream cone! You can imagine how happy I was when I saw the stamp set, The Scoop Vintage Labels Four with a bucket of these birthday treats sitting in my studio!  

Yummo, blue moon ice cream anyone?  The single card base measures 4" x 5" with the panel atop measures 3 3/4" x 4 3/4" with punched ticket corners. The ice cream cone images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo black as are the Thank You tags. One of the simplest ways to add color (for me) to an image is with chalks. I still have my ancient SU Pastel Chalks and love to apply them with a q-tip or sponge dauber.  I love that fact that if I get chalk outside the lines I can take a pencil eraser to remove the color.  The sparkle on the ice cream is from applying Stickles!  

Here is the complete The Scoop Vintage Labels Four Clear Stamp Set.  It contains 20 stamps!  It coordinates with JustRite Custom Spellbinders Labels Four Dies.  I used Spellbinders Labels Twenty Nine dies for my Thank You creations today. Before I removed the die after cutting my stamped images, I applied Old Paper Distress Ink to the largest die cut, with chalk being applied to the sentiment images. 

A quick note about the candy cone, they come individually wrapped, however I removed the wrap for presentation and photography purposes. They will remain wrapped when presented to party guests.  The bakers twine and tag will be wrapped at the same location, only over the clear cello bag. I purchased the tub of candy ice cream cones HERE, at Old Time Candy.  Here's the scoop for tomorrow, I will be back tomorrow with a special boxed birthday greeting for a special little guy!

Burlap Ribbon Tree and Card! Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Style!

WELCOME Wednesday!  It sure doesn't feel like Wednesday, but Wednesday it is and it is my day to share a creation for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!  I chose to cover this 12" tall styrofoam cone with 2.5" burlap wired ribbon for fall decor!   So simple, I ever so slightly pleated each row, securing with 1 1/2" pearlized straight pins. The top bow and flower are attached using the straight pins as well. The Prima flower is from their Trinket Melody Collection which I also used on the card pictured below.

The coordinating card measures 3 1/2" x 6" and uses many of the same elements as the tree decor!  The Autumn Labels Twenty Two stamped image is heat embossed with Faber-Castell Gelatos applied.  The paper picks up the color while the embossed areas resist the colors.  VERY easy to apply and rub out!  I love the idea that I have a coordinating card and home decor ready and waiting for a hostess gift!

The stamps in Becca's new set, What I Like About You just makes me smile!  I used Spellbinders Elegant Labels Four for my card base and a sponge dauber with Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink to color the embossed areas.

What I Like About You is a clear set featuring 21 stamps.  You can mix and match to create the sentiment you want! The denim ribbon creates a wonderful bow and embellishment for this card! A few buttons and the creation is complete!

JustRite Papercraft Clear Autumn Vintage Labels Three Stamps

Welcome to Day ONE of JustRite Papercraft's September Release!  We have a great lineup for you this week!  There so much to ooh and aah about with this release!  Let's get started!

I decided to create a card with this sweet wreath image from one of today's release sets, Autumn Vintage Labels Three! All Copic colors are listed below in the supply list!  The stamped sentiment tag is embellished with a seam binding bow atop gorgeous metallic string.   

Look at all goodness this set has to offer.  Designer Amy Tedder hit it out of the park with this set, Autumn Vintage Labels Three. Perfect for packaging fall treats, images to color, and wonderful sentiments!  I cut my wreath image using JustRite Custom Spellbinder Labels Three Dies, the sentiment is cut using a JustRite Papercraft Vintage Banner Die.  The hanging sentiments are cut with a SU punch. The colored leaf spray image is scissor cut!  Some call this fussy cutting, which you know I LOVE!  Thanks for stopping by today!  Praying you are enjoying this final summer holiday with those you love!  See you tomorrow!
