This week we are showcasing Rosettes. There are many types of premade flowers sold by the yard that offer a variety of opportunities for scrapping, card-making, sewing and crafting in general. Wait till you see the wonderful Rosette inspiration today! All Rosettes in stock can be seen here.
There is Mystery Blog Candy, meaning the winner will be drawn from comments on one of today’s participating blogs, so leaving a comment on each blog increases your chances of winning, but only one comment per blog, please. The winner will be selected at 6 p.m. Eastern time on Thursday, September 8 and will be posted on Sharon's BLOG on Thursday night or Friday morning, so please check back to claim your prize if you are the lucky winner!
For my ribbon inspiration today, my pick was the Shabby Daisy! It's sold by the yard, and there is approximately 12 flowers per yard! And when I just linked to the store, I see that they are on sale! Score! Using the shabby daisies, I decided to make a floral pin to be used on this darling sweatshirt. I embroidered around the sweatshirt neck edge and along the bottom band. The pin features two trimmed shabby daisies sewn together. After gathering my 1/2" wrinkle yellow ribbon, along with a loop of 1/2" fuchsia wrinkle ribbon I sewed that atop the daisies. It is finished off with a button from my button stash, tied with 1/8" teal velvet ribbon!
The shabby daisy creation is pinned on the out side of the sweatshirt. This enable it to be easily removed for laundering! This shabby daisy trim is available in three colors too!
Of course, we have to have a matching hair clip! Using the same ribbons as the pin, I sewed them together before sewing to the hair clip. There is one shabby daisy folded in half to achieve an appropriate size for the hair clip.
Here is the simple sewing of the hair ribbon treatment onto the hair clip! There are so many possibilities for this shabby daisy trim! I have two more creations to share this week using this spectacular shabby ribbon flower! Be sure to stop by the super talented designer's blogs for your ribbon inspiration! Thanks for stopping by! Have a marvelous Monday!

Now, you've taken your project to the next level, Barb. I love what you have done with the shabby daisy trim and being an old-fashioned pin girl, I can see that the possibilities are endless for these Rosette trims.
How cute! I've often thought about adding removable flowers to my shirts. You've made it look so easy!
Thank you for sharing your fab project.
What a fun and creative idea, Barb! I love the pretty embellishments you made!
This "shabby" daisy is a perfect embelly for a card, but can be used to jazz up your sweatshirt as you've shown, made into a hair barrette, as you have also shown, and made into a purse clippee. You could make a coordinated ensemble of these to wear out with some sort of "funky" outfit, or with something dressy you want to wear to a special function. What fun these will be, and how they will add to ever crafter's repertoire of products! (not sure I spelled that right but hopefully you know what I mean). Thanks for sharing your creativity and talents! -Stacy odell2@centurytel.net (for some reason I cannot post thru google reader right now).
