Wishing you the Happiest New Year in 2011!

THOUGHTS FOR THE NEW YEAR!
Every year as long as I can remember I've felt obligated to make new years resolutions...and for the most part many never met completion. I don't so much remember what the resolutions were, I just remember the fact they did not get to the finish line! As I became an adult, I tried to make more realistic resolutions that could be met, so I would not feel like I failed! As life moved on as a wife and Mother, I cannot remember many resolutions becoming reality! Are you with me? So for this year I want to totally focus NOT on completed projects or a completed list, I want to focus more on the intent, the steps along the way instead of the very end result! Acknowledging all the while I will get to the end result I want to achieve, but allowing myself the slack of the time it takes to get there! Phew, my shoulders feel lighter already! I have to say it's taken many years of life to get to this more healthy realistic approach! Maybe because this past year has certainly presented itself with many obstacles...I will not get into personal details here, as my family is very private. But I would covet your prayers for my husbands battle with Crohn's disease, our daughter's families, along with the new babies that we welcomed in the past 3 months. (I will share photos soon) There have been many hours spent this past year in hospitals, and I know this year may present the same.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
For all the Christmas cards and wishes you sent me, I'm sorry to say I did not get any mailed! Please forgive me, and know I treasure every creation that you sent my way! It has been said so many times before, the friendships that have been formed among this papercrafting community are priceless, for me a life line. This year, I plan on being more intentional at sending those cards I make to more of you!!! Thank YOU from my heart!

Happy New Year to you Barb and I hope 2011 brings you lots of good times and days that are happy days.

My New Years resolution this year is "One Day At A time". Sounds good doesn't it?

I also didn't get one card sent and we didn't get our tree up until the 23rd, but we made it and had a wonderful Christmas, as I hope you did.

Here are many best wishes and love sent your way for 2011 !

Barb,
Happy New Year. I'm sorry you've had to spend so much time at the hospital. You and your family are in my prayers.
I really enjoy your blog and all the great inspiration. If I were to guess your favorite project for last year it would have to be those adorable booties you made for your granddaughter Emma Rae's first Christmas ornament, well, at least that was my personal favorite. I look forward to more inspiring ideas.

Dear Barb, Happy New Year to you and yours and may it be far healthier and happier than last year! Having worked in a GI office for 20+ years, I have an inkling. Hospitals are never pleasant places when our families are involved.

Your projects this year were amazing as always, but the one I loved because I could actually DO it, was the match game set for Kaleb! I actually did order enough sets for my youngest niece and nephews and plan those for 2011 Christmas presents for them. I love the images as they were ones I grew up with in magazines and cards. Doesn't that date me? lol

You are a constant inspiration and are so thoughtful in your explanations of how you made the card/project, step by step. I look forward to another year of your blog.

Wishing you a happy and healthy 2011! Thanks for always being an inspiration to so many with each and every post. I had many faves of yours last year, but I'm thinking that your fave was either the paperweights, or the bridal inspiration...have a great day!
