Birdhouse Set, JustRite

How about a card using JustRite's new set, Birdhouse? It was hard to choose which image I wanted to stamp first, all are so lovely! I decided on a square 4 1/4" card, and used some of my Spellbinders Lacey dies for the first time! I first cut the largest square, the size was off, so I trimmed it and placed it around the sides and bottom! Here is a look at the entire Birdhouse set! Just look at all the possibilities. All designer papers and ribbon used are found at THE STAMP SIMPLY STORE! The silk ribbon is luscious and comes in any color you may need! My image is Copic colored and colors used can be found HERE. (THEY'RE ON SALE TOO!)Markers are grouped together to best color JustRite images! How cool is that? For my image I used The Butternut Quad, YR20, YR21, YR23, YR24 for the birdhouse and flower centers. For the roof and base I used three markers from the Cool Gray Quad, CO1, C1, C3. The leaves use Colors from the Soft Green Quad, G12, G24, G28 and for the flowers markers from the Red Quad were utilized, R24, R29, R39. This eliminates so much guesswork about coloring images, and a time saver too!

Love is in the Air and Fancy Frames!

Welcome to JustRite's Friday Challenge featuring designers from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Design Team! The Stamp Simply Design Team has joined JustRite today for LOVE IS IN THE AIR creations just for you! There is a prize package offering of $100 worth of JustRite and Stamp Simply Ribbon Store merchandise! Check out JustRite BLOG to enter!

I took a little different approach to Love is in the Air and created favors for our Mothers Day dinner table! There's nothing like a Mother's Love, right? And I wanted something special not only for my Mom, but for our daughters who are now Mothers too!

When I saw JustRite's Fancy Frames Set, I could not wait to get my hands on it! The first thing I thought of was the clear pillow boxes I had in the studio! Could it be? Really? Could the large frame in this set really fit the size pillow box I had? Too good to be true but, the answer is YESSIRREEE!!!! I will be making these forever! Easy, simply stamping, and perfect for all occasions! Life is good!

Spellbinders Labels Fourteen match the inner design shape of these stamps! Using my gorgeous K&Company Blue Awning paper from The Stamp Simply Store I utilized die #1 and #2.

First stamp your frame image, cut around the outer line border. Then using a soft base, in this case I used a small foam pad and a dry emboss tool to slowly follow the stamped arc line from corner to corner. That's all there is to it!

Gently fold along the arc line and insert stamped piece into box. It looks better if you insert on the side that does not have the box seam, and fold the bottom flap up first, then the top flap down. This gives a bit more finished look!

Here is the Blue Awning kit available at The Stamp Simply Store! I used the paper, gorgeous silk ribbon, Snow adhesives pearls, and the terrific coordinating stickers. Can't beat the ease of the matching stickers.

A peek at all four favors! Love the personalization using the first name initial, using Spellbinders Label Fourteen die #1, I traced around the outer edge and cut out to give the stamped initial piece a matching framed backing to create the border!

Visit all The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Designers for awesome inspiration along with the JustRite blog that includes additional inspiration from their designers too! The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store carries the full JustRite line and is fully stocked with all new product in both the original ribbed and cling versions as well as dies. ALL product used for today's creation can be ordered from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, just send Sharon an email at ssj@up.net, along with your state/zip or country, and she'll get an invoice out to you.

Kindness is a Blessing!

JustRite Stampers has released their Kindness CLING Set! I've been sitting on the Thank You panel for a while now and never got it to the finish line! So today was the day was to use the new Kindness Set with the Thank You panel! The sentiments in this set are terrific, allowing perfect versatility for your creations! I utilized two of the ten images on my card today. The decorative frame image is stamped with Memento Rhubarb Stalk while the sentiment is stamped with StazOn black ink. This set coordinates with a new Spellbinders Set, Labels Twenty! Spellbinders has been releasing new dies in their winter To Die For Frenzy! Check it out! I created my background panel by repetitive stamping using the sentiment "Thank You" from JustRite's Baroque Nested Frames! With the clear block stampers, lining up my image was a cinch! I started at the bottom of my cardstock sheet, picked which ribbed line I was using and stamped across the page, lining the straight edge rib the straight paper edge. Then I proceeded to use the straight edge rib along the stamped image and stamped on up the paper.
I love how this card turned out and will be using my stamps to created more background paper and panels, think of all the mixing and matching we can do with our exisitng stamps along with NEW JustRite sets coming our way!
Thank you so much for visiting! When you do your kindness is such a blessing to me!

I'm in love with JustRite's new cling set, FRIENDSHIP BLOOMS! Not only does this set coordinate with Spellbinders New Labels Eighteen and Blooms Three dies, it will accommodate many centers that we have in our existing JustRite sets! Bonus! My card today is pretty straightforward! Basic Grey Kioshi designer paper and white cardstock is all the paper I utilized! Here is a look at the entire FRIENDSHIP BLOOMS set! I stamped my blooms with Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink onto my designer paper. The stems and leaves were created using the border stamp with Memento Bamboo Leaves ink. The sentiment is stamped with StazOn black ink. Machine stitching down the stem center and around entire panel finishes off the blooming look! Keep checking the JustRite blog for all the latest and greatest new release sets and coordinating Spellbinders dies!

It's all Ornamental!

Additional ornament pockets I made for 2010 holiday gift giving! My daughter gifted them to her coworkers with a gift card placed in the pocket! This is one of my favorites! Simple repurposed cording from a package really finishes off the look! One of my favorite color combos, especially for winter! A very snowy, wintry, look!
Love the reindeer trim with the bloomers here! All edges are sanded, with all trims and ribbons attached with scor tape.
Have extra gems from packages you have used just a few? I utilized an opened package on this ornament!
Mounds of crinkle ribbon, cording and pearls match the paper well! I love this unique gift item, it can be later filled with another gift card and passed along, or simply used as wall decor! Perfect!

ALL ORNAMENTS, PAPERS, TRIMS, BLOOMS, LEAVES, GEMS & PEARLS, SCOR TAPE AND RIBBONS FOUND AT THE STAMP SIMPLY RIBBON STORE!

Just For You!

We are so excited to let you in on a Secret!! There will be 3 new cling stamp sets being released over the next several days designed to coordinate with some of Spellbinders CHA Die Release! Fellow JustRite team member, Debbie Olsen kicked off the event yesterday using Spellbinders New die set Labels Eighteen that coordinates with JustRite Stampers new Cling Set, Fancy Labels!
I stamped one of the Fancy Label images onto gray SU cardstock with Memento LadyBug red ink, then went over the image with my Spica Red pen. It's hard to see the sparkle but it's there! The sentiment is stamped with StazOn black ink, while the darling mouse image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo black ink. The mouse and heart are Copic colored. The gray Spellbinders cut panel is stamped with a smaller decorative image included in Fancy Labels with Memento London Fog ink.
Here is the darling set, Ellie Time where the adorable mouse image is found! Don't be afraid to combine images from several sets in your creations! New JustRite sets work perfectly with my existing JustRite collection! My 2010 very FAVORITE Creation!

There are many favorite creations from the past year, but I HAD one very, very, very, favorite of all times for 2010! I will share that particular creation at the end of this post! Let's peek at a few of the many favorites coming in second (no particular order!) on the list!
JustRite's Witch Way to the Treats set will always be up there on the list for me! I love this creation re purposing a food box and adding that wonderful chocolate popcorn! I have used this recipe for years and it's always a welcomed treat!
A work of love for our second grandchild, born in October. LOVE the Yuletide papers on this advent box creation! I hope this creation will be cherished for years to come!
Bright colors, sewing, pearl accents, ribbons, and a play on shapes scores with me! A lot going on, out of my comfort zone, but I love how it turned out! I find myself looking and staring at all the detail!
What's not to love about bird images? Every detail with this card works so well together! I've been working on my Copic coloring and am pleased with dimension, papers used, and Flower Soft accents with this one.
Perfect colors, card and pin cushion puts this set on the list! A great use for those heart shape tins and Valentines Day gifts!
One of my favorite color combinations brings this card to the list! The sewing detail along the papers pattern was fun too!
One of my favorite things to do is combine my stamping with 3D items, whether I create the 3D item as this origami made boat or utilize purchased items. Either way I am in my element creating this way!
As this is a purchased plate with cardinal spreader along with a stamped, Copic colored bird card! Not only does this provide a wonderful presentation, part of the homemade love is still there!
The simplicity is what this card is about, cutting the letters from the designer papers used made this a cinch to produce! Creating the paper ruffle along with the flower coordinates the papers well!
Clear acetate, bling, and front framed cut out created the dramatic for this card! This was a super simple card to make and I love the white on white effect!
Adhesive chip board, matching papers, machine stitching makes this a card that took minutes to create! LOVE the use of elements here!
New techniques are not only fun, but necessary to explore and discover! A trio of tags that make a terrific gift or tags to use on your individual gifts.
A remake of an oldie! I've always loved this card, the use of a stamp set in an entirely different way than intended is another one of my favorite things to do.
Personalizing gifts is up there on the list! This baby gift is no exception! Box contents are below.
I've had the occasion to make lots of ribbon flowers and bows this past year! And with two new granddaughters, there will be many more to come!
Drum roll, please!!! The 2010 very favorite is this ornament I made for our new granddaughter! Nothing beats placing a personal name on a creation...along with discovering using a fabric sewing pattern for paper creations! EVERY last detail of this creation is wonderful and compiments each other! And the sentimental attachment probably has some input too!

There you have it! My favorite for 2010. Thanks so much for stopping by! Tomorrow I have a new JustRite Set to share! Take Good Care!

Wishing you the Happiest New Year in 2011!

THOUGHTS FOR THE NEW YEAR!
Every year as long as I can remember I've felt obligated to make new years resolutions...and for the most part many never met completion. I don't so much remember what the resolutions were, I just remember the fact they did not get to the finish line! As I became an adult, I tried to make more realistic resolutions that could be met, so I would not feel like I failed! As life moved on as a wife and Mother, I cannot remember many resolutions becoming reality! Are you with me? So for this year I want to totally focus NOT on completed projects or a completed list, I want to focus more on the intent, the steps along the way instead of the very end result! Acknowledging all the while I will get to the end result I want to achieve, but allowing myself the slack of the time it takes to get there! Phew, my shoulders feel lighter already! I have to say it's taken many years of life to get to this more healthy realistic approach! Maybe because this past year has certainly presented itself with many obstacles...I will not get into personal details here, as my family is very private. But I would covet your prayers for my husbands battle with Crohn's disease, our daughter's families, along with the new babies that we welcomed in the past 3 months. (I will share photos soon) There have been many hours spent this past year in hospitals, and I know this year may present the same.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
For all the Christmas cards and wishes you sent me, I'm sorry to say I did not get any mailed! Please forgive me, and know I treasure every creation that you sent my way! It has been said so many times before, the friendships that have been formed among this papercrafting community are priceless, for me a life line. This year, I plan on being more intentional at sending those cards I make to more of you!!! Thank YOU from my heart!
