Envelope turned Bag A Lope turned Handbag!

When I moved last summer, I did a major clean out of my stamping supplies. I kept this lone envelope that I stamped years ago, it coordinated with a card I made. I loved the colors, the stamps, and now I don't even remember the stamp set or colors of ink! I do remember getting the layout and color idea from the Splitcoaststampers gallery.
So, I sealed the envelope and followed THESE directions for a bag a lope. I folded my envelope so the envie flap is at the top, creating a wider bag a lope as opposed to a taller, more narrow bag.
To finish, I die cut a topper with my Spellbinders Label six die, scored two top lines, used scor tape to attach (the back flap only) onto the envelope. The ribbon slide is attached with scor tape as well. I think this will make a darling gift card holder or small gift package!
My Mom's surgery went well, we got back a little later than expected though and I feel like I am scrabbling today. I start ankle therapy this afternoon, we'll see how that goes! Hopefully it will speed the process of healing, so I can DRIVE again! Take good care, see you tomorrow with a little creation that meets two challenges this week!
Materials:
SU Envelope, SU Ribbon, SU Stamps & inks, Making Memories ribbon charm, Spellbinders Labels Six-6, Scor tape

How pretty, Barb! I think that is one of the "watercolor garden" sets of SU. I'm so glad your mom's surgery went well. Hope the ankle therapy works well for you and you progress rapidly to full recovery. Your Bag-a-Lope simply shouts SPRING with it's lovely colors. Thanks for the info.
