Stamp Simply, Iron on Patches, and JustRite!

It's Friday and that means Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply #121 challenge has arrived! Today we are to make something that utilizes a heart(s) in some way on our creations. Paper, Dies, Stamped images, Ribbon...any thing that has a heart on it! Simple, easy, and FUN! Perfect time to stockpile those Valentines!
Here is one of the cards I created. Some time ago while visiting my local fabric store, I stumbled across these Dritz patches. Well, almost stumbled, because I thought they were so very COOL! I purchased a 4 pack (one 6x6", one 5x5" & two 4x4") and envisioned Valentines of some sort for our girls. I did a google search and found them HERE. Dritz is a pretty common sewing notions resource. I have not checked in any other stores yet, I'll let you know if I find them in any major chain stores! Doesn't this bow look like it is tied onto the poodle? Ribbon is from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!
What I learned using these patches is if the background is white, iron the patch on white paper, I used computer paper. I found out the hard way when I ironed the first piece onto pink cardstock, once ironed, the white turned to a pale yucky pink! I was sick, because that used a major portion of the largest patch. Ugh...but not to despair, sometimes mistakes are what make us more creative! I salvaged a tiny leftover and created this card! We have two girls, need two Valentines!
The inside is completing the front sentiment. Reading from card front to inside-Love YOU! I popped up the sentiments with dimensionals. Do you like, girls? They both pop in here and take peeks at what I'm up to!
Both cards use JustRite's Brayton Font to create the card front and inside sentiments. I utilized the 50pt and 95pt font. I love the versatility of combining the font sizes, as I did for the word Love. The first letter is 95pt and the rest are 50pt font. Take good care! Tomorrow I have the cutest Valentine creation EVER! Think hearts, floating, and paper folding! See you then!
Everyone is invited and welcome to play! There is no time limit, you may play anytime! If you upload your Stamp Simply Challenge creation to Splitcoaststampers, use keyword: ssnotime121. And remember link to Mr. Linky from Sharons blog!
