The Not Quite Finished Studio-Day Three

Good Morning! Welcome to Day Three of the studio reveal! We have gone clockwise around the room and now are on the right hand wall of the studio! You can see the back wall is a window and this last built in unit is where my desk is. Eventually I would like to add a window treatment, and I do have a wall decor piece in progress! (for behind the door) See...not quite finished!
This is where I do most coloring and the putting together of my creations. So, I need supplies at my fingertips! On the slat wall there are several clear plastic pieces and metal hooks that are all completely movable. I recently picked up two cute black drawer units at Michaels. Need to label those too, I keep all my tape gun refills, dimensionals, glue dots, etc.
OK, I have never been one to have "things" in sight! Usually tucked behind a closed door! But in this room, space did not allow and I have to say once I got over the look of this, it's been working mighty fine! LOL (and you cannot see it when looking in the room, the computer screen blocks the view!) When we were moving, I scoured over other studio ideas, tips, and organizational options. Pretty much all these ideas come from and are developed from other papercrafter work spaces. And sometimes it's those little ideas that make a huge difference. For example, see the pins and needles upright in the bottom clear shelf? This is a wine bottle cork idea from Cindy Liles/Starlit Studios. Pure genius...I took it a step further and placed it in the cap of an empty perfume spray! Perfect!!! It is affixed with glue dots! No more scurrying for a needle or pin! Life IS good!
Under the desk is a pull out drawer for my printer, pull out keyboard unit, and a little rolling cart for the hard drive! These are all out of necessity because of space issues! The floor mat is from Office Max, love the shape which is perfect for the limited space! There also is a power strip mounted inside the right hand side just in case I need more outlets!
Now the cupboards, a work in progress! Here the right hand cupboard is devoted to all my JustRite Goodness! I know I have to get this organized, and most likely will start with THESE ideas but for now a work in progress.
And the left hand side cupboard houses stamp sets, and inks in the drawers. The bottom shelf is easily accessed when sitting at the desk. That's a good thing, ink at my fingertips! And on my fingertips, most of the time!
A peek at the middle space bottom shelves. I found these wire CD holders at Meijers. I would guess you could find something like this at a WalMart, office store, etc. I love to be able to pull them off the shelf when needed. I have extra cards, Making Memories embellishment holders containing my brads, charms, and paperclips. Perfect for those Papertrey Ink stamps that come in a plastic CD holders. And my music CDs. The CD you see is the Mannheim Steamrollers Christmas CD and has become a favorite...my hubby and I went to see them last year! Terrific show if you ever get the opportunity to go! Bottom shelf is where I obviously store buttons, flower embellishments. The two black and white three compartment holders is what I use to pour out a bottom jar and sort through them easily...separating sizes! I know I have to come up with another button storage solution, I have more buttons coming! Never quite finished!!! Probably way more info and pics than you wanted! There have been a few questions in the comments and I wanted you to know I will pull them, and edit this post with the answers! Probably tonight! So here's to a great 2010, filled with the best papercrafting I can create in the new digs!!! Your visits here mean the world to me...I appreciate it so much! Take GOOD care and I'll see you soon!
