Gourmet Delights, JustRite For You!

For one of the challenges over on Splitcoaststampers, we were to take this template and create a darling box. I purchased more of those yummy sour balls and knew this box would make a perfect container for them. I first printed the template onto Papertreyink Stampers Select white cardstock, cut it out and covered with my new Berry Sweet specialty paper by K & Company. Other papers are from SU and Papertreyink. Using Memento black ink, I stamped the largest circle with my JustRite Harmony classic stamper and border, cut it out, using my circle Nestabilities and inked around edges. For the cello bag tag, I utilized a border from JustRite's New Recipe Set. LOVE the size of this stamper. I stamped it twice, once with black ink and once with Papertreyink's Pure Poppy ink. The white daisy flower is from SU pretties kit, button is from my local fabric store, and the twill ribbon is one of Papertreyink's newest colors, New Leaf. The scallop border punch is Martha Stewart, while the 1", 1 1/4", and scallop flower punch are SU.

For the candy bag tag, I used JustRite's NEW 15pt font in Times New Roman along with the 50pt. NEW Times New Roman Lowercase font. I did trim the larger font letters for tighter placement. I love the ability to change up fonts sizes! Remember you can cut and trim your JustRite stamps, Sharon Johnson says it's ok! LOL

This picture gives a better look at the stamped tag. I distressed the smaller circle to add dimension, and placed a red pearl like head straight pin into the ribbon hole. The outer most tag edge is sponged with pure poppy ink. shredded crinkle paper is the filler, and I used terrifically tacky tape on the box construction. These are but a few of the NEW, amazing JustRite products, check out their site for many more! Thanks so much for stopping by today! I really hope you find something you like and a bit of inspiration along the way! I will be back tomorrow with my Friday Four! Until then, take good care!

Cuddly, Snuggly and my

HEART JUST MELTS
I have been helping my daughter with the birth announcements of her two week old baby boy! They are finally completed! Mom (my daughter had to come over three times to get mission accomplished!) Not a problem as long as Nanna gets to hold the precious boy! LOL So it goes with having a baby! This picture is Kaylub at two weeks old. I am going to do a frame project with it for a birthday gift. When Lindsey was looking over all the items, tools, and ideas in the studio, she was not sure of the kind of announcement she desired. But once she saw one of my JustRite boxes, the baby set that has a pic of a onsie card on it, she knew that was the one! Well, I had never made one, but we conquered and they look great with every detail Lindsey wanted. When I get it photographed, it will be on the blog pronto! Take good care! Until next time, check out my Friday Four places to visit: 1. Imagine, Dream, Create...I happened to find Cindy one day and love her quilting projects! Love her sense of style working with the fabric, and she has stamping and recipes too! Gotta love that at one stop! 2. Sharon Johnson and her STAMP SIMPLY TEAM share Sharon's simple idea challenge to create inspiration after inspiration! EVERY Friday! 3. Pioneer Woman Photography As you know my camera bit the dust and I am in full search mode! I don't want anything big, complicated, with a ginormous manual to learn just how to turn it on! Am I asking too much? Check out this fabulous woman who shares her skill with the world, and for that I am so grateful. 4. Jello Jiggler Eggs, in preparation for the upcoming Easter season! A family tradition in our home for years! So much fun!

French Knot Polka Dots

My final Heart Prints candle cozy! I love this one too! I'm a little rusty on the french knots, but it was fun! Paper, felt, DMC floss, ribbon and buttons create another candle gift set perfect for any occasion.
The close up of the card heart reveals the punched out dots. I first stamped the heart with Adirondack Espresso, cut out and then punched away! Papertreyink ribbon, and buttons from my stash provide the finishing touch.
Thanks so much for stopping by! As you can tell the photos are not the best, unfortunately I have been having camera trouble! I was able to sneak in a couple of shots before my camera bit the dust. Now it is off to shop for a new one. So, I have been trying to do a little research. I don't relish the fact of having to learn a new camera, figuring it all out, and trying to get good photos, let alone shelling out the cash. I'll let you know what I find! Take good care!

Enlightening Heart Prints

For VALENTINE'S DAY
Remember this post with the candle cozy? I purchased several of these candles to make more than one during the holiday, but as usual here I sit with a dozen of these candles, waiting to be embellished! Onto plan B, make them into Valentine's candle cozies! I have long loved embroidering and used to stitch all the time. It feels wonderful to be stitching again! Aren't these cute! My inspiration for the cozy comes from Papertreyink's Heart Prints Stamp set. I first stamped my heart for the gift card and tried to replicate the heart design onto the felt piece. The card heart used StazOn jet black ink and adhesive pearls. For the felt heart, I used the daisy stitch and french knot for daisy centers. The cozy easily slips on and off, so once the candle is gone, it can be used on another jar.

This card heart is stamped with StazOn jet black onto MM BigDot Rouge Paperie designer paper. A white Papertreyink velvet blossom, tiny button with adhesive gem is added for embellishment . Both gift cards are cut using Labels Two Spellbinders Nestabilities die. Using the same embellishments on the felt heart after embroidering a line stitch to replicate the image lends a pretty close looking heart to the stamped image.

The left candle uses felt for the jar wrap and the other candle uses batting. Both jars utilize May Arts ribbon and DMC floss. The jar on the right has two larger velvet blossoms with ribbon centers on the ends of red felt strip.

These were so fun to create! I will be gifting them for Valentine's Day! Check back tomorrow as I have one more to show you! Just have put the gift card together and photograph! Hope you are having a great week so far!

Are you checking out PAPERTREYINK'S anniversary celebration? There are great prizes everyday and my oh my, all the designers along with Nichole have posted inspiration after inspiration for us! GO check it out! Take good care!

Our Lives are like Quilts,

Stitched together with LOVE
Using my new Papertreyink set, Quilter's Sampler, I made this card for the Card Positioning Systems 101 Sketch Challenge! I flipped the sketch up side down. This particular quilt square is one of twelve in the set, along with other images and sentiments.
The quilt squares are colored with the Copics pictured here. I went into each colored square and used the colorless blender to highlight. I wanted some dimension and not just solid color.
Spellbinder Nestabilites were used for the green and purple circles. The white flower is from Papertrey's velvet flower collection. I added stitching around the petals with one strand of embroidery floss. Ribbon through button holes is Papertreyink's spring moss twill. Inside of card displays another heart shape button from Dill purchased at my local fabric store. Purple hemp is used in button holes and loop on left. The patterned paper is Papertrey Everyday Blessings.
This bug has really worn me out! I need to get busy and play catch up now! I hope you are having a great start to the week! Thanks so much for stopping by. Take good care!
