Egg-stra Special
I LOVE rice krispie treats! They are easy to make and oh, so good! Years ago I spied in Family Fun Magazine, filled plastic eggs with Rice Krispie treats inside! This year I followed the same idea and used these mini plastic eggs! Bite size! Perfect for not too much, but just enough! Always wash eggs in hot soapy water, rinse and air dry. Another tip is to place a plastic sandwich bag on your hand and lightly rub butter or margarine on the inside of plastic eggs to keep them from sticking.
My rice krispie treat recipe makes a 9x13 pan. I don't always want that amount of treats, or I end up eating them all! So to make this even a faster, easier, and quick project, I bought premade rice krispie treats, individually wrapped. I was so pleased how well this worked! They molded perfectly, no waste! And so very fast! I had a pail full of treats in no time!
I embellished my clear pail and lid. Tags for Spring stamps, ribbons, ink, and cardstock are from Papertreyink. Fence was created with a Martha Stewart border punch. I stamped, then cut eggs out to place along the fence as well as on the tag and lid. I love how snug the lid fits, ensuring nothing else gets into the pail, since there is food inside!
