One Idea leads to the next, to the next, and to the next!!!

Welcome to Day Five of JustRite Papercrafts April Release!  Today we are featuring JustRite's two newest background stamps and I've used one on my creation today!  My daughter has put together wonderful glass containers of toiletries for the rest rooms at church and reception for wedding guests, so this Momma decided the paper towels on the wall would just not cut it, lol!

So, I picked up packages of paper hand towels and decided they needed a holder, right?  Damask Wallpaper Background Stamp is the one I used for my holder!  It is a deeply etched red rubber stamp and clings on any acrylic block. HERE is the link to other background stamp being featured today! The other fabulous background stamp, Secret Garden is found HERE.

I wanted to make two boxes and use an entire 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of card stock for each, No cutting the card stock, hooray! I measured the package of towels which was 8" x 4 1/2". I subtracted that measurement from the 8 1/2" x 11" measurement.  The answer is 3" x 4".  After dividing this measurement in half, 1 1/2" x 2" I scored these markings, 2" from the top and bottom and the sides 1 1/2".  I didn't have to cut any excess card stock.

Of course we need the height of all sides to be equal.  To accomplish this, I measured 7/16" in from each side and scored that line!  At the top and bottom on each side I cut the score line to the 2" line and folded in that tab.

Each tab has ScorTape applied to adhere sides together.  A strip of ScorTape is also applied to the 7/16" flap on each side.  This finishes off the box well, covering the tab connections!  Lets move on to the stamping!

Background stamps measure 4 1/2" x 5 3/4" perfect to fit a quarter section of a 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of card stock!  I marked the cardstock down the middle on the width and length, as you can see pictured above.  I also show white paper I placed up to each line before stamping the Damask Wallpaper stamp

Look how beautiful this paper is after stamping the background four times.  I stamped two sheets of paper so I could create two boxes.  If you look closely you can see right down the middle of the paper, the design does not match perfectly, but with a background stamp like the Damask Wallpaper, it's not noticeable, which is what we want. I feel selecting a busier design when stamping an entire cardstock sheet is key for a more successful & uniform look!

I'm showing the placement of a round circle punch that I used on each box on the top & bottom ends.  It adds a bit of interest and will make removing a towel from the box easier!

Here is the placement of the ScorTape, on the left side of the box.  I applied the same to the right side too.

Here is a picture of the two boxes side by side!  I will not have a bow and tag on these, but I wanted to show you what it would look like if I wanted to gift a package of towels.  Wouldn't holiday towels be a perfect hostess gift?

The tag sentiment is found in JustRite's clear set, Live, Laugh, Love Vintage Labels Two.  (You will see this tag soon, as we use it on the table favors!  Stay tuned!)  An inexpensive and easy touch that tells your guests you are thinking about their needs, while adding a decorative touch too!  Hope you've enjoyed JustRite's April Release!  I know I have!  Thanks for stopping by, make your Friday a fabulous one!

My Heart is full....Ornaments to share!

Here we are at Day Four of JustRite's April Release!  Today we are featuring a new set, Vintage Banners! You know I've been crazy busy making wedding and shower related items for our daughter's upcoming nuptials!  If you need a quick package tie on, first Christmas together ornament, etc. today's creation is just for you!

I purchased a package of 6 heart clear glass ornaments from Michaels.  They measure 2 1/4" at the widest part of the heart.  The height measures 2 1/4" from the base of the metal cap to the bottom tip of the heart.

The heart insert sentiment comes from JustRite's new Clear set, Vintage Banners and contains 14 stamps.  I have not stamped on clear acetate in ages!   I used StazOn Jet Black ink, you want a permanent ink for this type of stamping.

Of course if you have a Mrs, you need a Mr!  The Mr and Mrs stamps are from the JustRite set that was revealed yesterday, Mr & Mrs Vintage Labels Four.  I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I utilized my Spellbinders Classic Heart Dies to get the heart shape I needed. For the clear acetate heart I used the inner rim of Die #3 to achieve the perfect size!  I did have to trim the heart tip a bit, as the glass heart inside is more rounded in shape.  The cap is easy to pull off the ornament top allowing easy insertion of the rolled up stamped acetate heart! Once it is released, it pops back into shape!

The smallest Heart die was used to cut the tag base.  For the actual stamped Mr and Mrs I outlined the inner edge of the smallest die to scissor cut before popping it upon the heart gray base.  The pearl nestabling on the hearts is from Want2Scrap!  They have many items that coordinate with various die shapes.  The heart sets are HERE. The 5/8" Solid Plaid ribbon is from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and can be viewed HERE. The Grey Prima Flower and leaves are HERE.  And the gorgeous pink flower can be seen HERE. Silver Metallic string is HERE.  See you tomorrow for Day Five!

It's all about the soon to be, Mr & Mrs!

Hello friends! It has been a while since posting, but I've been busy!  Getting ready for our daughter's wedding shower and upcoming wedding!  So you can imagine how excited I was to see one of JustRite's April release sets, Mr & Mrs Vintage Labels Four! I have two creations using this set to share with you today; Day Three of JustRite Papercraft April Release!  First up is the Kitchen Towel Cake and further down this post, I have a shower favor!

Here is a view looking at the top.  It gives a better look at how the towels were used.  I also added some kitchen utensil items off the their wedding registry!  I began by creating two round forms from cereal boxes, making one smaller in diameter than the other.  All the towels are keep together and decorated using long pearlized straight pins found HERE. The top cake layer sits atop many folded dish cloths!

Here is a close up of the stamped label.  I stamped the large label image with Memento Sweet Plum ink and scissor trimmed.  The purple cardstock label base was cut using JustRite Coordinating Spellbinders Dies, Vintage Labels Four.  The Mr & Mrs image was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Memento inks can be found HERE. Thermal Web foam dimensional squares, HERE were used to pop up the dark yellow oval.

This Happily Ever After sentiment and border is found in JustRite's Ever After Vintageclear stamp set.  It is placed on a floral plastic card pic and inserted in the middle of the feathers.  It has a long stem so it stays in place!  You can view JustRite Ever After Vintage Labels HERE. Feathers were purchased at Michaels.  Prima Serenade flower is HERE and the bow is made from a new to me fabulous 3/16" ribbon, HERE.

JustRite's Mr & Mrs Vintage Labels Four is a cling stamp set featuring 8 stamps. I love the various sizes of the Mr & Mrs images, making the design options endless!  And don't forget the JustRite Coordinating Spellbinders Vintage Labels Four dies!

A wedding dress favor for the shower this Saturday!  I ordered the white dress die cut favor boxes from Etsy as I do not own a Cricut or a machine large enough to cut this kind of box.  They arrived with a straight edge neckline.  I cut each side, front and back into what you see in the above picture.  This design better resembles the actual dress our daughter will be wearing! I glued the flower trim onto the dress bottom and tied the waistline with silver metallic string, HERE.  Trim is found HERE.

I made 41 of these beauties!  You could really put any trim you would like on them.  I added a seam binding, HERE bow to sit atop the oval cut tag.  LOVE this sentiment too and it is found in the new April Release set, Mr & Mrs Vintage Four Labels. Before removing the Spellbinders Oval die, I used a sponge dauber, HERE to add a bit of Memento Sweet Plum ink.  Mini Purple adhesive pearls and adhesive Teardrop gems are from Want2Scrap.  The pink lid peeking through is a purse size hand sanitizer! Be sure to check out JustRite's April Release Day One, HERE and Day Two, HERE
