Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style - The Tin Can

Welcome! Today we are recycling the tin can! Call it altering, decorating, recycling, re purposing or bringing it upscale -- it's all about reusing those tin cans that are all around us. My inspiration for today's creation is a chunky soup can. I will be using this snow lady to hold a candy treat!
This stamped cutie is found in JustRite's set, Seasoned with Love found HERE. Spellbinders Lacey circles are found HERE, and the white metallic string is HERE. When I placed the sock on the can, I folded the edging up and glued on some decorative pearls I had from BoBunny's Embellishment Card HERE. I securely tied toward the end of the sock then cut off the end allowing me to cut upward to the tied area that created tassels!
This is a Mystery Blog Candy, meaning a winner will be drawn from comments on one of today’s participating blogs, so leaving a comment on each blog increases your chances of winning. The winner will be selected at 6 p.m. EST on Tuesday, November 22 and will be posted on Sharon's BLOG on Wednesday! Sharon created this pin cushion tin and trim card! Check back to claim your prize if you are the lucky winner! Good luck!

There is tin can inspiration waiting on the following blogs! Enjoy!

Kaisercraft Beyond the Page Mini Album!

Hello! Here is my second Kaisercraft mini album found here among alterable items available at The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store! This album is for our grandson's Christmas memories of 2011! I love these papers from Prima's North Country 6x6 paper pad! Just perfect for a more masculine look and can't wait to use more of this delicious paper!

I took page by page photos for this album! I attached a matching Prima Art Tile wrapped with burlap string. The tiles are HERE and the burlap string can be found HERE. The edges of each page are sanded after the adhered to each mdf board page.
On this page I applied the same snowflake trim as on the cover along with adhesives gems! These pages will allow photos to be adhered easily!

More of the satin Snowflake Trim! I trimmed down a piece and added a snow flake to embellish the page. Wanting to keep it simple and room for thoughts, memories, and pictures!
On this page, I glued three satin reindeer across the bottom of the page! Adding the adhesive gems to the noses transforms the reindeer into Rudolphs! Reindeer trim and Snowflake trim is found HERE!

String bow and adhesive gems are the added elements to this page! Love the deer on this paper!

The last page sports another Prima Art Tile that is wrapped in burlap string and bow, giving the look of a gift, no? Again space for those special pics and journaling. The sentiment on the cover was stamped with a stamp from JustRite Mini Christmas Sentiments Set found HERE! (the set is on sale!)

Kaisercraft Beyond the Page!

I have a mini Kaisercraft MDF Board Mini alterable album today! This is a perfect album to hold Christmas photos along with recording holiday thoughts and memories. This is one of three Kaisercraft Mini albums found HERE at The Stamp simply RIBBON Store. There are three albums in the pack (a great value!) ranging in size from about 5 to 6" in length and 3.25" in width. Each mini album contains 4 pages creating eight pages including the front and back of the album.
The designer papers are found in Webster's Pages, Botanical Christmas/Winter Fairy paper pack. The trim is from Winter Fairy Webster's Pages Trim Card. The purple trim is also applied to the large Martha Stewart punched snowflake, along with adhesive pearls. The sentiment placed on the tab is from JustRite's Christmas Trimmings.
Here is the second two page spread. On the left I placed Spellbinders Labels Fourteen die cut stamped frame to drop a photo in. The white square you see is a piece of scor tape, ready to be peeled to keep the perfect photo in place! The stamped image frame is from JustRite's Fancy Frames. JustRite sets are on sale too!
This page sports the year date from JustRite's MarketPlace Alphabet. The flowers embellishing the tree tops are from Prima's Delightful Day collection. I trimmed one down for the smaller tree!
This page says it all, Magic all Around! The holiday season is surely magical, and throughout the eyes of child makes it such fun! I hope Emma's momma will enjoy filling this little album this year!
This picture reveals a second album, one for Emma's brother. This album certainly is fitting for a boy theme and I'll be back tomorrow to show you the pages in this wonderful gem! Thank you so much for stopping by friends! Take Good Care!

White on White Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style!

Look at all the beautiful Stamp Simply RIBBON Store ribbon and trims! This is a Mystery Blog Candy package, meaning a winner will be drawn from comments on one of today’s participating blogs. If your comment is chosen you will win this package of ribbon and trim goodness!
  • Leaving a comment on each blog increases your chance of winning
  • Only one comment per blog, please
  • The winner will be selected at 6 p.m. EST on Tuesday, November 15
  • Winner to be posted on Sharon's blog Wednesday, so please check back to claim your prize if you are the lucky winner! Good luck!

My daughter was invited to a co worker's wedding recently and she wanted a special keepsake to gift her friend as she begins married life! I had seen this idea on Pinterest and have been waiting for the opportunity to make an ornament such as this. Here is my version!

Christine and Robert's invitation was perfect for this creation! (ornament purchased at Michaels) The invitation was a pocket with an oval opening that revealed the bride and grooms name. Pulling the page out of the pocket revealed invite details. I wanted to give the same sort of tag to resemble the cutout on the pocket. The remainder of the invite details is cut into strips and placed inside the ornament after carefully removing the ornament top!

I stamped the Christmas sentiment and oval tag border with stamps from JustRite's Christmas Trimming Set. I just went over to the Stamp Simply RIBBON Store to link and saw it is on sale! The tag edge was stamped with cream ink & sprinkled with dazzling diamonds glitter. After assembling the tags, you can see I adhered my very favorite trim ever around the edges! This 1/4" Ringlet Trim is the best, I love how it adds texture, creates a beautiful finished look, and is so easy to use! There is nothing like it! (It comes in various colors too!) The 1" ivory ribbon is stitched satin and is found HERE. The black ribbon is the actual ribbon that was attached to the invite!

There you have it! Hopefully a wedding keepsake that will be treasured for years to come! Take care and be sure to check out the following designer's blogs to see all the goodness they have to share!

Winter Words and Santa's Key!

Welcome to JustRite Winter Words Wednesday! This set is sure to get much use in the coming months! Winter Words is a versatile Clear Set featuring 27 stamps! Using stamps from this set, I was able to cross off another gift on the holiday list! A couple years ago, I made a box with a Santa key for our grandson; that post is HERE. I wanted to create something similar for our granddaughter, so that's what I have for you today!

Lets begin with the key and tag! I googled Santa Key sayings and there were many to choose from! I adapted this shorter version and hand printed the body of wording, then added two of Winter Words closing sentiments! I cut the tag first with my Spellbinders Labels Sixteen Die #6, this enabled me see the amount of space to get the saying written!

The special key and tag needs a place to be stored during the year, right? When I was at Michaels recently they had the coolest wooden containers in one of their dollar bins, various shapes with the body of the container made of a flexible balsa wood that wraps around whatever end shape it is made with! I purchased a round version!

I covered the container with papers from Graphic45 Christmas Emporium! This 8 x 8 paper pad is chocked full of beautiful double sided pages! The opening to this holder is on the length side with the lid able to be pulled up with the tiny knob. I sanded all edges before adding the Prima Wave Trim!

Here is a closer look at the container shape, paper and trim! LOVE this trim from The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store, perfect with the paper.

A closer look at the poem! I hope you have enjoyed this special thrifty keepsake gift for our granddaughter! You'll be seeing Winter Words on many more creations, it's just one of those perfect sets packed with unlimited possibilities!

Thank You friends for stopping by today! I'm so happy you did! Be sure to check out the following JustRite designer's blogs for more Winter Word inspiration! Wait till you see what they have been up to!

JustRite November Release, Part Two!

Good Tuesday Morning! How about a couple background stamps today? That's right, JustRite has released its first two background stamps! They are wonderfully detailed and I have two ideas using them! Let's get started! First up are these darling Vintage snowmen!

JustRite's CL-03550 Vintage Wallpaper Background Cling Stamp measures 4 ½" x 5 ¾” and comes with a colored storage board. I stamped the image onto cream card stock with Tim Holtz Old Paper distress ink. I then loosely drew three circles for my snowman and cut around the edges for a pattern!

Using the same ink, I inked the edges and a big of shading around each . I used two cutouts to give each snowman a front and back, this allowed an inside location to adhere the twine arms. Several wraps of twine around the neck gives the snowman a scarf embellished with a snowflake and button tag embellishment.
Misc buttons from my stash along with adhesive gems complete the scarf embellishments. JustRite Christmas Mini Sentiments is where the tag wording came from! A snip of scrap orange card stock for the noses and black adhesive gems for eyes. The three sparkly embellies are adhesive snowballs! I was inspired to make these darling snowman tags after seeing THIS snowman while browsing Pinterest!

Next up is JustRite's Scrolled Vine Background CL- 03555. This stamp also measures 4 1/2" x 5 3/4" and comes with a colored storage board. I stamped with red ink onto white card stock and cut using a Spellbinders Labels Eight Die.

Here is a look at the outside finished gift card holder! I measured a half inch from each stamped line edge and scored. This allowed the perfect space to adhere a card holder! (more on that with next photo!) If I was going to use the Scrolled Vine stamped and kept the card stock flat, it provides the perfect location for many of JustRite's sentiments! Love that versatility!

The inside of gift card holder reveals a clip that is glued onto the inner card stock providing the perfect place for my gift card! I also stamped another mini sentiment to add more interest! When the front and back are folded up, I added a small glue dot to hold together. I added my bow embellishment and voila' another holiday gift crossed off my list!
