A Stamp Simply PRIMA Hop!

Welcome to The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Hop with Prima! We are featuring creations using Prima products today! Just take a look at all the PRIMA-licious beauty in this photo! This Prima package is today's BLOG Candy waiting to won! Check all the blog candy details on SHARON'S BLOG HERE.
There are gorgeous PRIMA products found in The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store. My creation today features designer paper utilizing Prima's Reflections. The 6x6 paper pad includes 48 sheets of paper sporting 2 of each design.
I started with a wooden bird house from Michaels that was on sale for 69 cents! Michaels had several different shaped houses and I thought how perfect to cover with some favorite designer papers! And that is exactly what I did! I adhered the paper to the wood with Aleene's Tacky Glue and used an emery board to sand the edges and add scuff markings. The flower is from the Reflections Trinket Collection Flowers by Prima. The 1/8" Velvet Ribbon comes in ten colors and can be purchased in 5 yard bundles or by the spool. I used the 1/8" Brown Velvet Ribbon on my flower embellishment.
And you know how I love the Burlap String found in The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store! The string comes in 12 colors and can be purchased in 10 yard bundles or by the spool! Not only did I use the string to frame my flower embellishment, I also created a little nest too! Isn't it cute?
A slightly different angle of the birdhouse! I'm looking forward to covering the other two houses I bought! What an inexpensive delightful gift that will certainly satisfy the bird lovers in your life! Have a terrific Tuesday and enjoy The PRIMA Hop featuring the following Stamp Simply RIBBON Store designers!

A whopper Steal of a SALE!

Today I have an embellished store bought plaque I created for a special new baby boy! I added a replica of the little car, stars, buttons, wheels, and of course his name! The font used is JustRite's 95 pt. Myriad Pro. I'll say it again, there is nothing like a personalized gift for baby! Take a look at this deal! Myriad Bundle a $58.90 value is this weeks JustRite Steal of the Week for just $19.95. Bundle Includes: Wedding Nested Sentiments, Cherish the Memories Nested Sentiments, Myriad Pro - 50 pt and Myriad Pro - 95 pt. You can get some serious creations out of this bundle or consider this: a perfect gift for the crafters in your life! Hmmm, I'm thinking Christmas!

A peek at the card, as you can see I replicated the car again, added the monogram letter and used my Spellbinder dies for the card shape and white background.

The striped ribbon was attached to the plaque when I bought it. The button, stars, brads, and are ancient embellishments from my stash! I love taking a store bought item, and add that personalized touch! Hope you are having a great week so far! We had a huge storm last night and the hubby and I are volunteering at Vacation Bible School this week! Take good care!

Charmed! Holiday Style!

Today JustRite is releasing Charming Christmas, a cling stamp set that coordinates with their Charmed Custom Spellbinders Dies. I have two small packaging ideas for you today! Here is a look at the entire JustRite Charming Christmas Set! I chose the two heart stamps for today's creation along with 2 sentiments. This set is a JustRite Cling set that features 12 stamps. Oh, how I love to coordinate stamping with custom dies and to add the Charming Christmas stamps for these dies is such a wonderful holiday treat!I re purposed a small white gift box and added a belly band that can be removed to allow the lid to be taken off. This box is perfect for a gift card, jewelry item, or a tiny trinket! The image is Copic colored with the little oval in the heart center trimmed out. This allows the sentiment to peek through the oval window. The berries were created using wired pearl trim. I cut them apart keeping a wire stem, Copic colored them to match my image, and added the glitter while the Copic marker color was still tacky. For the second package I took this small gem I picked up at my local dollar store around Valentines Day. I did not get it to the finish line at that time, so I thought it would be a perfect match for one of the heart tags. So I went from this to, this! Simple stamping, trimming out the heart oval, and adding the copper leafing around the edging pulls it all together with that gorgeous ribbon! I used the copper leafing pen to color the heart pins, I love how they turned out! All the terrific ribbons & trims are found at The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store! There you have it! Two small gift packages that are charmed and tagged! Take good care and have a marvelous Monday!

Christmas Mini Sentiments!

I chose to utilize my JustRite Christmas Mini Sentiment set for today's gift card holder! A simple and easy one to make too! Details further down in the post! The holder itself is cut using a Spellbinder Grand Circle Nestabilities #7 Die. The belly band on the holder uses two of JustRite's Christmas Mini Sentiments. This set features 18 stamps with a variety of sentiments and fonts. This versatility makes this not just a Christmas Holiday set, but a year round set! On yesterday's post, HERE, I talked about the usage of many of these sentiments other than for the holidays! I LOVE versatility! The inside of the gift card holder also uses one of the mini sentiments! So appropriate for a gift card or money gift, no? Here is a look at the Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities Set, grand indeed! For my creation:
  • I cut my khaki paper using the largest circle, #7.
  • Next, I measured 1 3/4" in from each side atoutermost arc of the curve.
  • Next, I scored on the 1 3/4" markings on each circle side.
  • Before folding in the flaps, I cut out each corner along the scored lines, stopping where the scor lines meet. This created the four flaps.

The flaps show well here, all are the same in size, the photo does not depict that so well with the picture angle though. A simple glassine bag attached to the inside that accommodates a gift card makes this super easy! I paper clipped the sentiment to the glassine bag along with some Martha Stewart twine.

Along with JustRite's Christmas Sentiment set, JustRite is also featuring a cling set today, Merry and Bright! You do not want to miss this one, be sure to check out what the talented JR Designers have been up to!

Deck the Halls!

That's right! It's never too early to start creating for the holidays! I know you will be delighted with JustRite's release today, Deck the Halls! I used this set along with the new Christmas Mini Sentiment Set to create my ornament pictured above! Deck the Halls is a JustRite Cling Set featuring 22 stamps and can be used on any acrylic stamper. Another feature is this set coordinates with Spellbinders Heirloom dies along with JustRite Charm dies. JustRite Christmas Mini Sentiments are wonderfully designed with a variety of fonts and sayings. There are several that can be utilized outside the holiday season, Shop till you Drop, A Gift for You, From Our Family, Let it Snow, Comfort and Joy, Best Wishes would be perfect for birthday tags, winter wishes, or an addition to special image on your creation! I'll show you a packaging idea tomorrow using a couple of these sentiments! Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament Dies #3, #4, #5 are used to cut the shapes for my ornament. I also utilized a Classic Round Circle Small #2 die for the floating ornament center. Cutting two of each allows an identical backing to the ornament and creates a more finished look. I adhered 1/8" scortape down the center of each die cut to secure the silver thread. After that step I applied tacky glue to the edges and adhered the pieces together.
Here is that scrumptious 1/4" ringlet trim I love using for the edges of my creations. I apply my 1/4" scortape to the back and peel as I go around the outer edge placing top edge on the front side of the ornament and the bottom trim edge on the back side. This trim is very pliable allowing easy application. Silk ribbon used, ScorTape and trim are all found at The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store!

I love how this ornament turned out! It can easily be placed on the tree, hang from a wreath center, or tied on that special gift package! Be sure to take a look at how the following JustRite designers are Decking the Halls!

Pom Poms!

Here is the step by step process I used for making the pom pom on THIS card last week! My twine is from The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store and comes wrapped in a ten yard bundle like you see above. For only $1.25 folks! Yuppers that is a bargain! Sharon also offers the twine in spools as well. I looped the twine back and forth, the less twine used and smaller loops create a smaller pom pom. Secure wire in middle, twist several times to secure as tight as you can. Pliers can be used to aid this step if desired. Start to trim ends of twine. I knew I wanted more of a ball looking pom pom so I left the mid section slightly longer and cutting the twine shorter as I proceeded to the side and bottom twine.
More trimming, the more I snipped with the scissors, the more fluffy the twine became. Also using my fingers to fluff and even out was helpful.
Viewing from the bottom of pom pom you can see how the shape has developed. The problem I have is I want to keep snipping and I whittle the pom pom down to almost nothing! And the final pom pom! I love to create embellishments to use on creations and this is one easy way to accomplish that task! And another use for the string I so love and hoard! For all your twine and string needs visit The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store!

I was browsing a while back and found THIS GEM of an idea for tiny pom poms! Check it out, so very cool. Take good care friends!
Have a blessed day!
