A Prayer for You

I needed a sympathy card. Long over due too. I hate when my good intention turns into lateness. I know late is better than not at all with the same heartfelt thoughts, prayers, and love, still, I don't like late. Anyway, here is the card, I hope you like it! I decided to make a shaped card using my Spellbinders Labels Twenty die #5. Did you know that JustRite carries Spellbinders dies that coordinate with their stamps. Take a look HERE and HERE! I embossed the front card panel to add texture before I adhered the focal point image & sentiment. JustRite Stampers Hugs to You Set is pictured above. I used the actual shown combination as the "A Prayer for You " shows. Remember you can color in the stamped images or just stamp and leave the inked image! They are beautiful each way! The set features 4 Designer Centers and 4 Borders that utilize the 2-1/4" x 3-1/16" Oval Stamper! Here is the kit, Once Upon A Springtime that my patterned paper, ribbons, pearls, and fairytale rose is found. There are enough materials here for some major papercrafting! I stamped a card inside sentiment too, utilizing the designer paper die cut from the card's front. The stamp is found in JustRite's Sympathy Nested Sentiments and Verse. This set features 9 stamps that fit JustRite Large & Small Horizontal Stampers. And yet another feature is these stamps coordinate with all JustRite® Nested Frames. Closeup of the bow shows what I call Twinkle String! It is iridescent white string that is found at The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store. You can't beat a FIVE yard bundle for only a buck! After I looped it several times and tied another piece in the middle to hold, I glued it atop my bow easy tied bow. The Fairytale rose is then glued atop both! A couple loops of twill are under the silk bow, this helps tilt the bow slightly, which gives more dimension! Wow, we are the end of MARCH not April(thank you, Pat!)!!! I've started such a darling room decor project with some of the April release JustRite sets and I can't wait to show you! Take Good Care!

Brielle's Photo Holder! JustRite!

Here is the tag I attached to a darling photo holder for our daughter's desk at work. It will be a perfect pic holder of her precious daughter, Brielle! I still had pieces of the Cosmo Cricket Delovely paper on my desk and wanted to use them up! I clipped a die cut round so you could get the idea of how a pic would display. A peek at the entire holder. I opened the clip to slide the ribbon through, attached the tag, then tied the bow. The tag pieces along with the base paper were cut with dies from JustRite's Happy Everything Tag Kit. MyriadPro 50pt Font is used to stamp the name then letters cut apart and glued onto the banner.
A look at the back to reveal how the ribbon is tied. This was a very simple creation that I just love how it turned out! You can't beat personalizing creations with a name, what new Mommy doesn't like looking a a pic and name of her baby!
Take good care! I have a card coming up next to share tomorrow!
See you then!

A NEW Storefront, Headbands and Bibs!

Good Tuesday morning! If you've not had the chance to visit Sharon Johnson's new storefront, The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store, go take a peek! So easy to navigate, terrifically sectioned to eye all that ribbon, and a store chocked full of inspirational goodness! Here are the sets packaged! I chose to use an A2 size clear box to package each set. After deciding to use the headband itself as a box embellishment, it left empty space within the box. Coordinating Cosmo Delovely paper is used to fill, directions further on in the post. Lets begin at the start of this creation! I know you recognize the headbands from THIS post. I used the crinkle ribbon included with the Delovely Kit that is found at The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store. I ran a basting stitch down the middle and pulled slightly for the bib embellishment. The piece of pink ribbon is pulled tightly after stitching along the edge. I wanted to show how tight the ribbon is pulled to achieve the look for the flowers. The gathered ribbons are machine stitched onto bibs. The bibs are from Target and the headbands are from Meijer Stores. The bib is folded and placed into the clear box, the empty space filled with matching Delovely paper. Since each bib is folded differently, there is differing widths of empty space. So, for each space I placed the paper onto the box and marked the paper, followed the paper around the box and marked where the scoring needed to be placed. I then lined up my marks and scored my Delovely paper with my ScorIt board! After scored I erased pencils lines. Here is what the paper filler looks like folded, I then slid it into the clear box. I cut the paper 1/8" past one scored side to provide a little overlap as shown. I wanted to share what I did with my ScorIt boards. I used Velcro fasteners to hold the score tool in place! Works like a charm to keep it from falling since I store my boards upright! The tags are made using JustRite Stampers Happy Everything Tag Making Kit! This kit is wonderful and has all you need to create tags galore! I used the included custom dies to cut several designer papers, then mixed and matched the layers for my tags! The headband on this box is created using two layers of gathered ribbons along with a couple loops for the leaves. The flower on the first box (at beginning of post) uses the same ribbon with a Fairytale Rose securely glued in the center. The Delovely Kit (adhesive gems, ribbon & Fairytale Rose included) is found at The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store along with the Tag Kit, ScorIt Board, Velcro Dots, Adhesive pearls, and A2 clear boxes! Enjoy browsing in the new store!
Thanks so much for taking time to visit today! Hope you are enjoying your day! Take good care and I'll see you tomorrow with a little picture holder I've been working on!

Hugs to YOU! JustRite is Hoppin' with Stamper's Dream Today!

Welcome! We begin the week with a BLOG HOP featuring designers from the JustRite Stampers Design Team and The Stamper's Dream Team! For today's creation, I chose to place my greeting in a frame! This is a gift for a dear friend who is battling cancer. She has received so many cards, which is a blessing, but this time I thought I would place my stamping in a frame so it's within sight for her see! I used JustRite Stampers Hugs To You utilizing the Hugs to You center and border as pictured. You can easily stamp the border and leave as is, but I chose to color it matching my friends decor plus I felt like coloring! Love the look either way, both are beautiful! Hugs to You is a JustRite Original Set with 4 Designer Centers and 4 Borders and fits 2-1/4" x 3-1/16" Stamper. I used my Copic marker to color the center Prima Rose to match my colored image in the frame! Worked wonderfully! I also cut my leaf trim and glued stems together to get a few leaves closer together! If you are looking for a great leaf trim, this is it! The frame measures approximately 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" with a 4 1/8' x 3 1/8" oval opening. Small enough in size to place about anywhere! I found the frame at Michaels in one of those bargain bin aisles!
Thank YOU for stopping by! I'll see you tomorrow with those packaged headbands (finally)! I got sidetracked creating matching bibs! But both are done and packaged now! Can't wait for you to see! Take Good Care and Hugs to YOU my friends!
Enjoy Hoppin' today! I know you'll be seriously inspired! There are mystery blog candy prizes along the way! Be sure to comment on all blogs, that increases your chance to win! Good Luck! Happy Birthday Kellie!

K is for KELLIE! Today is Kellie Fortin's Birthday! JustRite Designers are throwing a blog hop filled with birthday wishes along with some creative goodness to share! Hop on over to the JustRite BLOG or Kellie's BLOG and leave her some birthday love! I covered the "K" with gorgeous paper from K&Company's Spring Blossom Paper pad. This is a picture of the kit Sharon Johnson, owner of The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store has put together. I love the fact that Sharon has coordinated all the needed ribbons and embellishments in one kit, easier for me and removes the guesswork! Yes, I LOVE that! I used a few of the sentiments from JustRite's Elegant Frames Set! This is a CLING set and features 11 stamps. The framing for the sentiments are lovely, no?
Closeup of the largest sentiment and shows the wonderful twill ribbon, the same twill as the flower embellishment. The flower is created by running a stitch along the ribbon edge, pulling tightly to gather. The orange twill is then tacked in a circular fashion to resemble a flower, the yellow twill is handled the same except not near as much ribbon is utilized and the green is stitched into a bud. All twill layers are stacked and stitched together as shown, then glued onto the decor "K" piece.
I positioned a few sentiments on the "K" in light ink colors to blend in with the paper. Can you find all of them? This is such fun and adds another special touch to the decor piece. I painted the back and edges with white acrylic, adhered the paper with scortape, then sanded the edges. I then went back and painted the edges again for a more finished look!
Happy Birthday to You, my friend! Wishing you happiness Today, Tomorrow and Always!

Ribbon Headband Goodness! Part Two!

Good Saturday afternoon! I have a few more headbands to share today! I've still to get the finishing touches on my packaging of yesterday's headbands! Tomorrow after church, I will be able to finish and share those!
But for today, I have these two beauties to add to the collection! Again, store bought headbands and I added the embellishment. A bit more in the fancy category! For the pink headband I used 1" Tinsel Edge Sheer Pink Ribbon with the highest layer folded in half, running stitch to gather and tacked with thread, that is how the top layer is smaller that the flower base. Such lovely 1.25″ wide Crochet White Lace sits between pink layers, with a Orchid Prima Fairytale Rose, is glued secure atop the entire flower. The yellow headband sports a White 1″ Sheer Ribbon flower with a Buttercup Prima Fairytale Rose. I folded the sheer ribbon over a tiny bit and ran the stitch, then gathered. There is a couple layers of the flower to create this amount of fullness.

And this purple collection! 1″ Sheer Ribbon flower base with a Prima Trellis Rose in Purple Mist is all that is used for the top headband. I stitched right on through the flower to secure! 1/2″ Wrinkled Ribbon and another Purple Mist Trellis Rose sports the second headband. And a very simple purple 3/8″ Gingham Checked Ribbon bow, tied, holding the ribbon in place.

ALL the ribbons are found at The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store! Email Sharon Johnson at ssj@up.net to order! Such luscious RIBBON goodness in her store!!!

There you have it! MORE headbands for our two little precious baby girls! See you tomorrow! Take good care!

Ribbon Flower Headband GOODNESS!

Good Friday afternoon! I hope you've been having a great week! I have been playing with ribbon again! I love the yummy colors, the feel and variety of what can be achieved with a needle & thread and simply RIBBON, it brings me pure joy! You've heard me mention the two newest members to the family are baby girls! And all baby girls need ribbons and bows for their hair or head in one case, not a lot of hair just yet! I purchased stretch headbands and added the ribbon embellishments! I'll walk you through what I used!
For the above headband I used 3/4″ Striped Twill, scroll down a bit to see. For the leaves I folded the ribbon in half, looped and tacked with thread. The flower middle ribbon is folded in half, a running stitch along the edge and pulled to gather, tacked with stitch to hold. The yellow flower base is the ribbon edge stitched with a running thread, gathered and tacked to hold. I then turned the headband inside out so the seam is facing the flower, leaving what will set against the head smooth. The flower layers are sewn together then stitched onto the headband, the flower center is a Prima Fairytale Rose. I peeled the green off before gluing with Aleene's Tacky glue! These are bright, and look so darling on! I went with Yellow, Fuchsia, and Parrot Green 1/2" Wrinkled Ribbon found in the Stamp Simply Cosmo Cricket DeLovely KIT to create the flowers on the above headbands. Again purchased headbands give a vairety of looks! A running stitch pulled tight to gather ribbon gives this ribbon such great fullness. Once gathered, the gathered ribbon is stitched together in a circle to create the flower. Fairytale Prima Roses in buttercup are glued on two of the flowers, while the middle flower center is made as the flower base is. Loops of green for flower leaves and all ribbon components are sewn together and attached to bands. 1 1/4" Crochet Lace with fresh and crisp 5/8″ twill create the top flower along with a heart button from my button jar! The bottom headband sports a repurposed ribbon from a package! 1 1/2" Sheer Velvet Dotted Ribbon and 1/2" White Wrinkled Ribbon create the flower on the top headband. Tinsel Edge Sheer Ribbon creates a traditional bow topped with a 5/8" Twill Ribbon flower along with a heart button from my stash for the lower headband!
All ribbon can be found in The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store, email Sharon Johnson at ssj@up.net to order! Tomorrow I'll show how I packaged one of the headbands that I created using The Cosmo Delovely Kit and reveal even more headbands! Take good care! See you tomorrow!

Wrapped and Tagged! Just For You!

Here is a quick gift wrap today! I actually used KandCompany designer paper for the wrap! It came in a large pad from Michaels featuring many of its papers. However it does not list the individual design names of the included papers.
I used gorgeous silk ribbon from The Stamp Simply RIBBON Store! The Webster's Pages aqua dot netting is tied into the ribbon, a Prima flower and a Webster's Pages resin embellishment finish the bow.
The tag sentiment is found in JustRite's All Occasions Nested Sentiments and Verse Set. A ton of possibilities with this set. The sentiment is stamped with StazOn black ink with the tag edge shaded with Martha Stewart Ocean ink.
A peek at the Spellbinder Custom Nested Frames die set I used to cut my sentiment. I die cut two yellow decorative pieces and tucked them under each side of the sentiment die cut. Adhesive pearls to accent the butterflies and sentiment complete the look!
There you have it! Hope you are having a marvelous Monday!
Take Good Care!

Charmed Candy Kiss Purse Favors!

This Friday's Justrite Challenge is sponsored by ScorPal and the challenge is to use scoring on a springtime or birthday creation! I chose to make favors with Hershey's springtime chocolate kisses! I think these favors are perfect for a birthday party, maybe a springtime gathering such as Mother's Day Brunch or a spring wedding shower. These are but a few of the uses for this adorable purse favor! Here is a look at the entire JustRite Charmed Stamp Set, it is a Cling set featuring 15 stamps. I used the uppermost heart stamp along with the to and from wording on today's creations. When I first looked at this JustRite Custom CHARMS Spellbinders Die set, I saw a purse in the heart, didn't know why or how it would be, but the idea was there, and it percolated for a while! So, I played and am very pleased with the result! I wanted to create purses using the stamped image as well as simply using the dies with designer papers. These favors take such little paper, I went to my scrap drawer stash for most of what I used. Love the stamped purse here, a letter initial would look wonderful on the green heart, no?Another way to utilize those fonts and make it more personal to boot!
I am showing you what needs to be cut with the dies for each purse. The purse body is two large heart tags. The smallest heart die for embellishment.
The large circle tag, along with the midsized circle are used for the purse handle. Note how I positioned the dies, creating a smaller cut for the handle top and resulting in wider sides as the circle rounds out. I only used a section of the circle handle and this is shown further below.
Cut two midsized circles, one for the chocolate kiss bottom and one for the purse bottom.
The die cuts for the four purses shown today. The colors, designer paper, and embellishment possibilities are endless! Lets get started on the assembly now that all the die cuts are completed.
A peek at all two more purse favors! Aren't they adorable? Gotta love getting more mileage for your buck when you utilize those stamps and dies for more than just card making!
Lay die cut tag as shown and scor 1/2" up from the tag bottom and fold.
Adhere one die cut circle to kiss bottom.
Add more tape or adhesive of your choice to the bottom of the circle and place tag bottoms as shown.
I used the second midsized circle to cover the tag ends, I think it gives a more finished look and adds a bit more stability to the purse.
What the purse looks like from the inside!
I added one handle and adhered it to the inside purse front tag. You could simply tape the entire circle, but I snipped off the excess. Just couldn't leave it! Snip off the little tag hanger on the purse front tag, because the back hanger is folded over to the front creating a finished look, I added a bit of tape to the underside and pressed to hold the purse closed!
After assembly is complete, embellish as desired. Oh what fun! What a simple and easy treat to use at a birthday celebration or any springtime affair! Hope you can play along this week, complete challenge details will be up soon over on the Justrite's BLOG!
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit today! I appreciate it so much when you do! My husband is finally starting to heal from surgery and all the complications. What a time it's been! Thank you for all your prayers! Take good care!
