Sharon Johnson Stamp Simply #115

Mass Production is the challenge today! Create a card that is super easy to mass produce - like once designed you could easily make 6-8 of them in a hours time! Sound good? I just may be able to get my cards made this year! LOL My card today was inspired by THIS wonderful idea! Aren't those cards the coolest? My branches are place on a cirlce stamped with my border from JustRite's A Merry Little Christmas Set.
JustRite is having a BLACK Friday SALE! Take a look at THIS! 20% off ALL JustRite products, excluding November releases. Black Friday shopping from the comforts of your own home! No crowds either! Sentiment, focal point, adhered to a swiss dot embossed Spellbinder label die cut and we are good to go! Ink used is StazOn black. Stamped border circle is cut using a 1 3/4" EK Success punch. The branches are cut using my Martha Stewart punch!
The gorgeous silk ribbon is from Sharon's ribbon store, and I have learned that this silk ribbon is soooo easy to tie. I wrapped my panel with a strip of red silk ribbon and used scotch tape to hold ends where they meet on the front, then adhered my embossed piece atop. The bow is tied separately and attached with a glue dot! Told you, easy! Black and red adhesive pearls are added to complete the card.

Just A Note - JustRite!

I boxed up the Just A Notes for gift giving! So easy using a clear card box! The box houses four cards and matching envelopes. You can view the individual cards & envies HERE and HERE. Love that envie maker! The fabulous silk ribbon is from Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply ribbon store. I used the same Just A Note stamped image to create a box tag, adhering it to larger circles of papers. It is attached with foam dimensionals, positioned atop the card image! So simple and perfect for a hostess gift, teacher gift, hairdresser gift...you get the idea!!!
JustRite stamp is from their Just A Note set, utilizing a 1/5/8" round wooden stamper. Ink used is StazOn Black. Clear boxes purchased at Ellen Hutson's

All Wrapped UP! Stamp Simply #114

My Friday's have become permanent Fabulous Friday's in my world! Why, you ask...because I will be working with Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Team and participating in Sharon's Friday Stamp Simply challenges! WhoooHooo...I am so blessed to be working with Sharon and her talented team of designers!
On to the challenge, today Sharon and the Stamp Simply gals will be sharing gift wrapping ideas. You may wrap ANY thing, for ANY occasion! Well, I did wrap this felt ornament I made, by placing it into a clear box (re purposed stamp box), added some ribbon and a JustRite tag. This ornament is now ready for gift giving! Looking at the tag close up, I hope you can see the black Flower Soft on this snowman's hat. It really adds texture, and looks woolen like! Copics are used to color my image. The green ribbon for tag, is folded in half, the halved end is thread up through the punched circle. I knotted the folded end and pulled the ribbon from the back so just the knot is seen on the tag top. The ribbon tails are tied around Gingham ribbon. The outer ring on tag uses a sentiment from JustRite's Holiday Demi Phrases. I completed my sentiment on the lower border, by adding wording utilizing 15pt. Times New Roman Font. Because I wanted to attach my tag on it's left side, I trimmed my Demi Phrase, and placed both holly leaves on the right. Gotta love the versatility of making the tag JustRite! The tag center snowman is from JustRite's Something Sweet Set. Love this little guy. Check out JustRite's Christmas Set SALE, 20% off all Christmas sets. Remember to check out their blog too! The right side bar always lists the current JustRite creations found in blog land! Snowmen just make me smile! As does Sharon's ribbon! Love that too! The snowman is placed on a piece of DP made into a tray to fit the box. Only this time I folded the sides, so the item sits atop, instead of inside like I created here. Do you have gifts to wrap? Wishing You the Blessings of the Season!

Good Tuesday morning and welcome to JustRite's "It is Hip to be Square blog" hop! I'm going to show you a sweet treat for Thanksgiving! Sooo simple and fun! Can you believe it? Pilgrim Hats! I LOVE these! I was browsing the Taste of Home website shortly after I had made THESE. I tucked this idea away to use for Thanksgiving and am so excited to share! Ingredients used: Keebler Fudge Stripe Cookies, mini Reese Peanut Butter cups, Chicklets gum, and yellow frosting. I decided I wanted to repurpose a clear box from a stamp set I purchased. So, I created a cardstock tray to slide into the box. It was just a tiny bit large for the 4 cookies, so I made square tubes to add color and frame the cookies! Of course, we have to add box embellishments after the cookies are tucked inside! (Sorry for the photo glare!) I chose to use JustRite's Christmas Joy set for my sentiment, and border the sentiment, stamping a new 2" Square border to frame the label punched sentiment. I utilized the new Square 2" Wooden stamper and Adirondack Espresso ink to stamp all square images. (Again, sorry for the glare!) Suede ribbon is from Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. Peek of JustRite's Christmas Joy set and Oval wooden stamper used on today's creations. I LOVE the versatility of these stamps, even though this is a "Christmas" set, the sentiment I chose works wonderfully for the Thanksgiving holiday! Another packaging idea using a clear pail, wrapped with Cosmo Cricket, Earth Love designer papers. For this tag, I chose another Square decorative border to frame my sentiment. Punched leaves, Martha Stewart border punch, adhesive pearls, and Sharon's ribbon embellish the pail nicely! Perfect for teachers, neighbors, or a hostess gift!
And another close up of this darling cookie idea! SWEET! Check out all the JustRite Design Team blogs for inspiration galore! It definitely IS Hip to be Square! JustRite BLOG

Getting ready for a Magical Holiday!

Let's begin with the JustRite "It is Hip to be Square" Blog Hop! It's all happening this Tuesday, November 17. The JustRite Design Team will be hippin' and hoppin' with terrific creations! Be sure to mark you calendars! I will be sharing such a "sweet" idea! (that's a little hint! lol) To get in the holiday spirit waiting for Tuesday to arrive, I have this wonderful little gift box to share with you. This past summer, I went to Indiana and visited my friend, Joan Fricker, of Joan's Gardens. We made this darling box, and I've added some holiday finishes, all set for gift giving. I had such a great time on my day trip, met such lovely ladies...and the food! Oh MY! Thanks again, Joan! A peek of the inside bottom box. Perfect size for those seasonal Ghiradelli chocolates! Actually it is perfect for candy, cookies, ornaments, jewelry, etc...you get the idea! Joan had Cosmo Cricket papers to use complete with box instructions. I'll share the instructions at the end of this post! For the box lid, I decided to use my JustRite Christmas Joy set along with my JustRite wooden 1 3/4" x 2 5/16" oval stamper. JustRite is having a sale on ALL their Christmas sets...20% off! Just in time to get those gifts complete, or gift giving the sets themselves! I stamped my sentiment image with Memento London Fog and cut out using my 1 1/4" circle punch. My oval snowflake border was stamped with Papertreyink Fresh Snow ink and hand cut. After punching a yellow 1 3/8" circle, I rolled the edges in glue and then rolled in dazzling diamonds for a glittering snow effect. Martha Stewart punched snowflakes are also glue covered and sprinkled with dazzling diamonds. After all that magical sparkling, I decided to accent the box lid paper with dazzling diamonds too! It is so pretty in real life! Even though this paper is not technically holiday, I think it looks a bit frosty and perfect for a holiday gift! Stamped images and snowflakes are adhered using foam dimensionals.
Hope you are having a GREAT weekend...mark your calendars for Tuesday's JustRite BLOG HOP with the JustRite Design Team. Take good care, and thanks so much for stopping by today!
Joan Fricker BOX Instructions: The dimensions are given for the above box. Box measurements can certainly be altered to accommodate whatever contents you wish to place inside of box.
  • Cut box bottom paper 6 1/2" x 7 3/4"
  • Score paper 1 1/2" around all four sides
  • Cut each end at the score line to the next score line, removing a thin strip out of the slit (about two hairs thick!), otherwise you don't have room to bend the tabs.
  • Place tape on the right side of the paper (outside of the box and in the corners) because when you fold the box, this goes inside the box.
  • Cut box top paper 1/8" larger that bottom box paper. In this creation, 6 5/8" x 7 7/8"
  • Score the same as directed for box bottom
  • Embellish as desired! Enjoy!

STAMP SIMPLY 113-Matchbook Fold

It's a Stamp Simply Friday! This week, Sharon Johnson's challenge is to use the matchbook fold in our creations! I am thinking Christmas, eyed the Ghiradelli seasonal chocolates, and this idea started playing out in my head! Matchbook style favors! Here is the matchbook open view. After measuring the chocolate, I decided on these measurements for my paper: 2 1/4" by 6 1/2" scoring 1" up from bottom, then 3" up from the 1" score line. Using my JustRite, A Merry Little Christmas, I stamped my image onto various coordinating papers I used for the matchbooks. JustRite is having a SALE! All Christmas sets are 20% off. And today you may start purchasing all JustRite's November release products! I played around with different edging on the bottom paper edge. So often, when I punch a border, and have extra, I place them by my punches. That way I try to see if I can use those first, especially for a project like these. Two sided designer papers are great for the matchbook style fold, because when open you get the coordinating design! The Ghiradelli seasonal chocolates come in three flavors, Peppermint Bark, Eggnog, and Pecan Pie. I purchased them at my local Walgreen Drug Store.
This paper strip worked out to have a coordinating color right on the edge, so I went with that! Added a Martha Stewart punched snowflake after stapling chocolate in place. These are wrapped wonderfully to do this! I used my Making Memories stapler with green staples!
Open view of all favors. I really created a variety to see which paper I will want for a holiday dinner. I will gift the others...but I chose the one with the button. I think it will go best with my table decor and dishes.
And one last picture of the matchbooks closed! I love this easy way of creating a card, or favor! If you have not tried this fun fold, give it a try! You may join in this challenge anytime and play along as many times as you want! Be sure to use keyword, ssnotime113 if you upload to Splitcoastampers. Please let us know if you upload to your blog as well, so we can take a peek!

Gift Giving-JustRite

Happy Tuesday to You all! I've been trying to get papers used that have set in my studio for quite some time! Today's creation uses an oldie but goodie, Cosmo Cricket's set, Storytime. I love the two sided paper and added punch outs in their kits. I have two of four cards/matching envelopes to show you today. The set will be packaged and tagged with a personalized touch for a holiday gift. More on that later!
Using punch outs I embellished the inside of the cards too. The envelopes are made utilizing my new Scor-it A-2 Envelope-it! I purchased mine from Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply store (click on tabs on top of page to view products)! It was a snap to use! I placed a thin strip of scor tape (purchased mine at Joan's Gardens, products listed on left side bar) on inside envie flap edge so it can be sealed!
JustRite's new set, Just A Note Centers & Borders is perfect for creating versatile all occasion cards. I chose the Just A Note center because it can be used for just about any card wish one would want to send. This set is used with the round 1 5/8" wooden stamper. This set is also available in a custom design Cardmaking kit, complete with a 392 piece font set. All new November release products are available for purchase on Friday, November 13.
My second card! Totally different look. The blue frame is an actual punch out from the paper set. Adhesive pearl was colored with my YR09 Copic marker to coordinate with paper.
Inside peek of the card. Simple, but so nice! Paper is light enough to write any message and coordinates so well!
Close up of the stamped image and colored pearl. All paper edges were lightly touched with Tim Holtz's Distress Ink, Old paper.
Simple card layouts, with matching envelopes create wonderful gifts, not only for the holidays, but the whole year through. One gift down...so many more to go!
I have oral surgery today! Nothing big, but will put me under the weather for a couple days! Ugh...
I so appreciate you stopping by today! Take good care and make it a terrific Tuesday!

Being Thrifty with Stamp Simply!

How many gingerbread girls and boys can you get from one grocery bag? A ton! In my ambition to get ahead of holiday gift giving...I decided to use Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply challenge this week to create ornaments! THE CHALLENGE...use either brown postal wrap or brown bag paper on your creation. Your project may be anything at all: a card, wrapped gift, 3D item, or altered item(s). There is no time limit, you may play anytime, as many times as you want! Please use keyword, ssnotime112 when uploading creation on Splitcoaststampers. Or post on your blog and be sure to let us know so we can take a peek! I chose to use a brown grocery bag and stamp this adorable gingerbread man with Memento Rich Cocoa ink. This image is from Holiday Button Bits , Papertreyink.

Look how cool all the stamped images look together! Ahhh....

After stamping image, I used my white Inkssentials pen for eyes, mouth, and ric rac. A red Spica pen was used for the rosy cheeks. LOVE the little girly ones! These ornaments will be gifted to our nieces and nephews at the holiday gathering we will be hostessing this year! It's a large family!!! Miscellaneous ribbons, buttons, and embellishments used to create different looks for these darling ginger people! They are slightly stuffed with cotton balls and stitched with my sew mini machine.

The only paper used...a brown paper grocery bag! Gotta love that! Check out the rest of the Stamp Simply team to see what they have been up too this week!
